Our room was clean and thoroughly tidied each day. We appreciate the attention to detail of each staff member and their kindness and awareness. We used the sauna ammenities and had a lovely time. The concierge we used to pass on items to a third party laundry we give were super helpful. The receptionists were well equipped with helpful information in both English and Mandarin. Super easy to communicate. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely central location for the Bund, Yuyu gardens and the metro for temples. It also has a reasonable gym, sauna and jacuzzi. Room sizes are large and spacious and the concierge service was excellent in sorting us a taxi to Wuzhen.

Our stay was comfortable. Check in was very smooth and we were asked if we wanted an upgrade to Executive Room,breakfast inclusive for a very good price. We loved the services provided by the hotel. There was also a 200RMB coupon for massages given. There was a complimentary plate of fruits provided for us. The location was very central so the attraction(s) was with in walking distance. We hope to stay here again when we plan our next Shanghai trip.

Great 2 night stay, rooms was clean and quiet, two convenient stores and subway nearby. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, bonus for the fresh fruits, but I do not recommend the bacon, it smelled bad and tasted bad.

Location is excellent, in walking distances to Nanjing Lu pedestrian street and the East Nanjing Lu subway station. Room was clean and the staff was super friendly. The only problem was the bath tub drain. It was clogged and still trained slowly even after service was called. Also, the bath tub was slippery. If you take a shower barefooted, the shower jell can easily make you slip and fall if you step outside of the anti slipping pad. So be warned (I know the is a sign)!

Sister hotel of Grand Central. But clearly not run as well. Unfortunately lack enthusiasm by workers here. Lobby not as nice as Grand Central. Room a lot smaller. Carpet does not look clean.

There have no laundromat for customers , the breakfast kiosk lady is very rude no friendly at all, the servers’ clothing was very untidy , the front deck’s sofa and elevator’s carpet need are ran off need to replaced. Otherwise it is a good hotel close to Nanjing walking street.

Alla reception la ragazza mi ha detto che avevo sbagliato hotel, sostenendo che io avevo prenotato al centra hotel ma che l’hotel dove stavo chiedendo il check-in e quindi dove stava lavorando lei si chiama grand central (Che s’ sull’altro lato della strada): assurdo che non sapesse nemmeno in che hotel lavora! Molto rigidi su orario del check-in infatti sono arrivata a mezzogiorno ma non mi hanno voluto dare la camera fino alle 2 mentre in tutti gli altri hotel (internazionali) delle altre città cinesi di questo mio tour mi hanno dato la camera a qualsiasi ora. Great location. Very accessible to the main shopping strip and easy walk to the Bund. The hotel has a classic grand feel to it. Check in took some time, they will hold bags until check in time (which they are strict with unless you pay extra for early check in). The room was spacious and considering the age, was very clean. The bed was comfy. There was no bad smells. We included breakfast with our stay, there was a decent selection of hot Asian dishes as well as the usual bread, eggs, bacon, salad bar. The food was pretty meh but saved us going out each morning

Always a pleasure staying at the central hotel, as well as the grand central hotel. Amazing location just around the corner of Nanjing road and the bund, very convenient family mart across the road. Metro station “East Nanjing road” at 5 minute walking distance. Amazing friendly staff that speak excellent English. Absolute go to when staying in the tourist center of Shanghai.

I couldn't have picked a better location for a one-night stay in Shanghai! Right next to the busy shopping street with lots of restaurant selection but no noise, friendly service, spacious and comfortable room. A metro station with direct link to Shanghai Pudong airport was just a few minutes walk away. Can heartily recommend this hotel.

Excellent location , close to Metro line 1 and 2. If you don’t have heavy luggage you can take Metro from airport or Mag Lev and Metro for faster transportation. Excellent walking shopping and dining options all around
