Wir hatten Cabana 27 - von dort aus hatten wir einen sehr schönen Meerblick. Die Cabana ist zweckmäßig im rustikalen Thai-Stil eingerichtet. Für uns war die Größe völlig ausreichend. Was noch positiv zu erwähnen ist, die Minibar wird täglich kostenfrei mit nicht alkoholischen Getränken und kleinen Snacks gefüllt. Kaffe und Tee ist selbstverständlich auch auf dem Zimmer. Essen im Rim Lae war zwar etwas teurer als draußen aber dafür auch sehr gut. Insgesamt hat das Hotel Optimierungspotenzial (Pool wäre zwar schön, dort könnte man aber durchaus das ein oder andere verbessern). Sehr nett fand ich den kostenlosen Shuttle vom und zum Pier. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb, Roller ist zu empfehlen, man kann es aber auch laufen (entweder über Strand - wenn Ebbe und Flut passt oder über die Straße- aber da geht man schon ein paar Minuten…) War für uns aber kein Problem da wir einen Roller hatten oder im Hotel essen gegangen sind. Für Menschen die schlecht zu Fuß sind, ist das Hotel nicht zu empfehlen. Alles in allem war es ein schöner Aufenthalt in einem guten Hotel. Das Personal ist sehr nett und aufmerksam, wie in Thailand üblich.

Beautiful bungalow with an Ocean View, the restaurant has a beautiful view and good food, great location (not too close to the main streets but walking distance though), great staff Some cons : The amenities could be improved : no gym, the snorkelling equipment is bad etc. Overall really recommend for a few nights !

Prachtig gelegen resort aan het uiteinde van een baai. Er zijn veel verschillende typen kamers; de meeste in de vorm van bungalows die ofwel direct aan zee liggen ofwel tegen de berghelling in een mooie, tropische tuin. Er is een groot zwembad en er zijn ligstoelen aan het strand. Het restaurant heeft een prachtig uitzicht op het strand en de hele baai. Het ontbijt dat wordt geserveerd is één van de beste hotelontbijten die ik ooit ergens geserveerd heb gekregen met zowel westerse als Thaise gerechten en zowel een buffet als á la carte gerechten. De inrichting van de kamers is origineel. Er is een gratis minibar (non-alcoholisch) die iedere dag wordt bijgevuld. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk en attent, met name in het restaurant.

We stayed in the family villa - we had our own pool with an amazing view - excellent price by western standards - the staff are lovely and work hard to please - restaurant had very good food - we also ordered room service which was great and quick - plenty of bottled water We loved the villa - it’s rustic and getting a little tired - but the AC worked well and it was spacious - beds were good - bathrooms interesting - we had a waterfall in one - and a monster tub (we didn’t use it) in the other - we were careful to use mosquito netting at night and keep doors closed - we would come again and hope to in the not too distant future - one issue for light sleepers is the bar and show way down the beach has a nightly show with bass that travels out to cabana - they have ear plugs for those that might be disturbed conveniently in bathroom - but it didn’t bother us We walked down the beach each day into town - less than 10 mins

An amazing beautiful place. Be very aware there are a lot of steps. Snorkelling right in front of the resort. Feels like you are on a true holiday when staying here. Food and beverage prices are bit high but you can walk the beach and find many places to try

This hotel is beautiful. It is up the quiet end of Sairee Beach but close enough to walk in to the action. The rooms are beautiful - just like the pictures. The restaurant is lovely - great food and a wonderful breakfast assortment. Both buffet and a la carte. The pool is lovely and there are great Cabanas to lie on at the beach - which is basically private being that it is at the end. Would thoroughly recommend. Great pricing for what you get also.

I fell in love with the hotel. Its location was perfect, away from the city & night life noise, right on the beach, with delicious breakfast included, and most importantly only three minutes away from the Coral Grand Divers PADI office. The service was amazing. Drinks and snacks were included in the room bar, daily shuttle to and from the city. We forgot one of the backpacks in the shuttle when going to a different island, and they delivered it to us before we started boarding the ferry. I’d give them A+ and def would stay there again and recommend it to others.

The restaurant's food was excellent, which made dining really easy because you didn't have to look for a place to eat. You can enjoy the sunset every day because you can admire it from your own beach or from a purpose-built vantage point in the hotel area.

Le cadre de l'hôtel était juste au top ! Magnifique ! Le personnel a été très accueillant et à l'écoute. Petit bémol sur le lavabo de la salle de bain qui n'a pas été rincé (encore des poils de barbe), mais rien de méchant et largement compensé par le reste autour.

Ich war aufgrund der früheren Rezensionen sehr neugierig auf das, was uns dort erwartet. Es stimmt, dass einige Dinge wie zB die Mischbatterie an der Dusche älter sind und man es ihnen ansieht, man muss aber auch bedenken dass dieses Hotel direkt an den Urwald angrenzt und man somit das gefühl hat man befindet sich direkt darin. Meine Frau und ich haben es sehr genossen, wir würden wieder kommen. Einziges Manko, überall Mosquitos. Dafür kann aber das Hotel nichts, Räucherstäbchen von 7/11 helfen bei einem Abend auf der eigenen Terasse.

Amazing villa! Wouldn’t have wanted anything more, perfectly located. Only issue was bath is so big, it’s impossible to fill up. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay!

6月7日～11日まで５日間このホテルに宿泊しました。 レセプションスタッフはとても丁寧で良好、ホテルレストランも対応よく、朝夜ともに食事も美味しかったです。モーターバイクもホテルで貸していただいたのでとても有意義な時間を過ごすことができました。 トイレもシャワーも清潔です。 問題は、部屋によってはとても急坂を上っていかなければならない事です。部屋に何か忘れ物をしたら取りに帰りたくなくなります。足腰に不安のあるかたは止めておいた方がいいかもしれません。 また、シーズン次第なのかもしれませんが、蚊がとても多くベッドに備え付けの蚊帳ではとても対応できません、２晩くらい耳元の蚊に悩まされました。 また、鍵を閉めて出かけたらルームクリーニングしてくれませんでした、替えのタオル類と飲み物が外においてあっただけです。

Die übermäßig guten Bewertungen für das Hotel kann ich leider nicht bestätigen. Lage und Umgebung ist top, da gibt es gar nicht zu meckern. Allerdings ist der Zustand der Zimmer, beziehungsweise unseres Zimmers (Room 17), und der Einrichtungsgegenstände, als äußerst rustikal und renovierungsbedürftig zu bezeichnen. Hier wurde seit Jahren nichts mehr gemacht. Ferner war das Frühstück doch recht basic. In dieser führ Koh Tao höchsten Preisklasse, haben wir in Thailand schon in deutlich bessere Unterkünfte und ein besseres Gesamtpaket gesehen. Da die Umgebung und Lage so wunderbar ist, habe ich drei Sterne von fünf vergeben. Die Unterkunft sollte dringend über eine umfassende Renovierung nachdenken und das Frühstück aufwerten. Im aktuellen Zustand werden wir keine Wiederholungsgäste, vor allen Dingen, wenn man den Preis berücksichtigt.
Die übermäßig guten Bewertungen für das Hotel kann ich leider nicht bestätigen. Lage und Umgebung ist top, da gibt es gar nicht zu meckern. Allerdings ist der Zustand der Zimmer, beziehungsweise unseres Zimmers (Room 17), und der Einrichtungsgegenstände, als äußerst rustikal und renovierungsbedürftig zu bezeichnen. Hier wurde seit Jahren nichts mehr gemacht. Ferner war das Frühstück doch recht basic. In dieser führ Koh Tao höchsten Preisklasse, haben wir in Thailand schon in deutlich bessere Unterkünfte und ein besseres Gesamtpaket gesehen. Da die Umgebung und Lage so wunderbar ist, habe ich drei Sterne von fünf vergeben. Die Unterkunft sollte dringend über eine umfassende Renovierung nachdenken und das Frühstück aufwerten. Im aktuellen Zustand werden wir keine Wiederholungsgäste, vor allen Dingen, wenn man den Preis berücksichtigt.

Wir hatten Cabana 27 - von dort aus hatten wir einen sehr schönen Meerblick. Die Cabana ist zweckmäßig im rustikalen Thai-Stil eingerichtet. Für uns war die Größe völlig ausreichend. Was noch positiv zu erwähnen ist, die Minibar wird täglich kostenfrei mit nicht alkoholischen Getränken und kleinen Snacks gefüllt. Kaffe und Tee ist selbstverständlich auch auf dem Zimmer. Essen im Rim Lae war zwar etwas teurer als draußen aber dafür auch sehr gut. Insgesamt hat das Hotel Optimierungspotenzial (Pool wäre zwar schön, dort könnte man aber durchaus das ein oder andere verbessern). Sehr nett fand ich den kostenlosen Shuttle vom und zum Pier. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb, Roller ist zu empfehlen, man kann es aber auch laufen (entweder über Strand - wenn Ebbe und Flut passt oder über die Straße- aber da geht man schon ein paar Minuten…) War für uns aber kein Problem da wir einen Roller hatten oder im Hotel essen gegangen sind. Für Menschen die schlecht zu Fuß sind, ist das Hotel nicht zu empfehlen. Alles in allem war es ein schöner Aufenthalt in einem guten Hotel. Das Personal ist sehr nett und aufmerksam, wie in Thailand üblich.

This hotel is beautiful. It is up the quiet end of Sairee Beach but close enough to walk in to the action. The rooms are beautiful - just like the pictures. The restaurant is lovely - great food and a wonderful breakfast assortment. Both buffet and a la carte. The pool is lovely and there are great Cabanas to lie on at the beach - which is basically private being that it is at the end. Would thoroughly recommend. Great pricing for what you get also.

We stayed at the hotel for five nights. The room was spacious, clean and had an excellent view. A little further away, the sounds drifted into the room, but it wasn't disturbing at all. The restaurant's food was excellent, which made dining really easy because you didn't have to look for a place to eat. You can enjoy the sunset every day because you can admire it from your own beach or from a purpose-built vantage point in the hotel area.

We loved this property! We stayed in the sky cottage. It was a fair walk to get up to the room, but worth it for the ocean view. The staff were amazing. It was easy to arrange for laundry service, food/beverage service on the beach, and even yoga sessions. You can still hear the beach bars at night, but it is as quiet as it will get on the island while still being walking distance to restaurants. Would recommend this property for sure!

A very hospitable resort. We were given a free shuttle service from the port and then greeted with complimentary refreshments. We were also unaware that breakfast was included so this was a nice touch. Amazing service from the staff and our room was lovely. I’d definitely recommend a sea view cottage. What a great spot to snorkel as well! The resort worked well for us as we did not hire motorbikes and we could easily walk along Sairee beach which has some great spots. It was nice to be able to see our resort tucked away at the top of the beach where you feel a nice distance from the main strip. The only downfall would be that you can hear music from other bars along the beach late into the night, stopping about 2am.

I fell in love with the hotel. Its location was perfect, away from the city & night life noise, right on the beach, with delicious breakfast included, and most importantly only three minutes away from the Coral Grand Divers PADI office. The service was amazing. Drinks and snacks were included in the room bar, daily shuttle to and from the city. We forgot one of the backpacks in the shuttle when going to a different island, and they delivered it to us before we started boarding the ferry. I’d give them A+ and def would stay there again and recommend it to others.

Loved it so much we stayed for an extra 5 days ...cant get a better review than that. The place is totally amazing, the food was great...best Margarita on the beach and the staff were just brilliant. My wife and I were celebrating 20 years so wanted something special and we got it..what an amazing place...could quite happiliy have stayed for the rest of our lives

Als wir ankamen, fühlten wir uns erst einmal nicht willkommen. Das Hotel hatte, warum auch immer mit unserer Anreise nicht gerechnet und meinten unsere Buchung sei storniert. Obwohl ich 2 Tage vorher das Hotel bat uns am Pier abzuholen. Warum wurde man da noch nicht stutzig?! Als wir am Pier ankamen, standen wir nicht auf der Abholliste des Transfers. Das machte uns schon nervös, da uns das Hotel die Abholung 2 Tage vorher schriftlich bestätigte. Wir mussten 1,5 Stunden (15:30-17 Uhr ca. ) auf unseren Check in warten, bis alles geklärt war und unser Zimmer her gerichtet war- leider lieblos- Bsp. keine Begrüßungsblumen auf dem Bett etc. Ich frage mich, wie so etwas passieren kann. Wir hatten das Hotel im Vorfeld schon 100% bezahlt! Wir kommen an und sind nicht im System hinterlegt?! Die Unterkunft & Einrichtung, das Frühstück und der Service im Restaurant der darauf folgenden Tage machte den 1. schlechten Eindruck zum Glück dann vergessen. Wir würden wieder kommen. Die Poollandschaft & der Strandabschnitt sind traumhaft. Viel Liebe zum Detail, auch bei der Einrichtung der Bungalows. An den Hotspot des Sairee Beach ist man in ca. 10 Min. hin gelaufen.

Koh Tao Cabana is perfect place to Stay in Koh Tao near Sairee beach. The staff are friendly and always helpful and the beautiful property is tranquil and relaxing. The Rim Lae restaurant has delicious meals and there are plenty more great places to eat a short walk down the beach.

This is a very unique place filled with details both outside and inside. It is a very private feeling resort though you are a 5 minute walk from Sairee beach, shops restaurants and diving centers. I would highlight the magnificent staff. They obviously love what they do and it shines through your interactions with them as a guest. The beach at the resort is on the far end of Sairee and almost feels private. The restaurant is good as is the complimentary breakfast. I will be visiting again.

We recently got back from a 6 week trip to Thailand and Cambodia. The Koh Tao Cabana Resort sticks out as the nicest place we stayed in Southern Thailand. The cabanas and surroundings are gorgeous, and the location is perfect. Quiet northern end of the beach but a quick walk to everything.

We lived our experience at Cabana resort. Excellent customer service - the front desk staff are extremely accommodating, close to the main strip (short walk along the beach ~10 min walk), great breakfast selection (all included) and beautiful beach. The whitesand villa is outstanding, very beautiful. Would recommend this hotel 10/10.

What a great place! The resort is at the north tip of the beach, the rooms nestling discreetly in the rocks and trees. An ideal location for being away from the hustle and bustle of the main bit of Sairee beach but close enough to wonder along the beach for 5-10mins if you want to eat somewhere different or book a trip or something. Slight downside is despite being some distance away, there is a bit of noise at night but not that loud and doesn’t disturb sleep or go on too late. Anyone who criticises the resort because of this has unrealistic expectations about Koh Tao. A large number of visitors are young and/or into diving, it’s not a chic place full of high-end resorts so go somewhere else if you want that. But if you want gorgeous rooms in a fantastic setting at a great price (you’d spend 2-3x as much elsewhere) then I’d really recommend it. My son was ill during our stay and the staff were so caring and helpful

Prachtig gelegen resort aan het uiteinde van een baai. Er zijn veel verschillende typen kamers; de meeste in de vorm van bungalows die ofwel direct aan zee liggen ofwel tegen de berghelling in een mooie, tropische tuin. Er is een groot zwembad en er zijn ligstoelen aan het strand. Het restaurant heeft een prachtig uitzicht op het strand en de hele baai. Het ontbijt dat wordt geserveerd is één van de beste hotelontbijten die ik ooit ergens geserveerd heb gekregen met zowel westerse als Thaise gerechten en zowel een buffet als á la carte gerechten. De inrichting van de kamers is origineel. Er is een gratis minibar (non-alcoholisch) die iedere dag wordt bijgevuld. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk en attent, met name in het restaurant.

Er zijn veel verschillende typen kamers; de meeste in de vorm van bungalows die ofwel direct aan zee liggen ofwel tegen de berghelling in een mooie, tropische tuin. Er is een groot zwembad en er zijn ligstoelen aan het strand. Het restaurant heeft een prachtig uitzicht op het strand en de hele baai. Het ontbijt dat wordt geserveerd is één van de beste hotelontbijten die ik ooit ergens geserveerd heb gekregen met zowel westerse als Thaise gerechten en zowel een buffet als á la carte gerechten. De inrichting van de kamers is origineel. Er is een gratis minibar (non-alcoholisch) die iedere dag wordt bijgevuld. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk en attent, met name in het restaurant.

We stayed in the family villa - we had our own pool with an amazing view - excellent price by western standards - the staff are lovely and work hard to please - restaurant had very good food - we also ordered room service which was great and quick - plenty of bottled water We loved the villa - it’s rustic and getting a little tired - but the AC worked well and it was spacious - beds were good - bathrooms interesting - we had a waterfall in one - and a monster tub (we didn’t use it) in the other - we were careful to use mosquito netting at night and keep doors closed - we would come again and hope to in the not too distant future - one issue for light sleepers is the bar and show way down the beach has a nightly show with bass that travels out to cabana - they have ear plugs for those that might be disturbed conveniently in bathroom - but it didn’t bother us We walked down the beach each day into town - less than 10 mins

This hotel is beautiful. It is up the quiet end of Sairee Beach but close enough to walk in to the action. The rooms are beautiful - just like the pictures. The restaurant is lovely - great food and a wonderful breakfast assortment. Both buffet and a la carte. The pool is lovely and there are great Cabanas to lie on at the beach - which is basically private being that it is at the end. Would thoroughly recommend. Great pricing for what you get also.

Die übermäßig guten Bewertungen für das Hotel kann ich leider nicht bestätigen. Lage und Umgebung ist top, da gibt es gar nicht zu meckern. Allerdings ist der Zustand der Zimmer, beziehungsweise unseres Zimmers (Room 17), und der Einrichtungsgegenstände, als äußerst rustikal und renovierungsbedürftig zu bezeichnen. Hier wurde seit Jahren nichts mehr gemacht. Ferner war das Frühstück doch recht basic. In dieser führ Koh Tao höchsten Preisklasse, haben wir in Thailand schon in deutlich bessere Unterkünfte und ein besseres Gesamtpaket gesehen. Da die Umgebung und Lage so wunderbar ist, habe ich drei Sterne von fünf vergeben. Die Unterkunft sollte dringend über eine umfassende Renovierung nachdenken und das Frühstück aufwerten. Im aktuellen Zustand werden wir keine Wiederholungsgäste, vor allen Dingen, wenn man den Preis berücksichtigt.

Koh Tao Cabana is perfect place to Stay in Koh Tao near Sairee beach. The staff are friendly and always helpful and the beautiful property is tranquil and relaxing. The Rim Lae restaurant has delicious meals and there are plenty more great places to eat a short walk down the beach.

I loved the Location, staff and Amenities. Cabana’s are at the end of Sairee Beech and has a beautiful Restaurant with a view. Perfect if you want to be near the beech but not surrounded by the busier areas.

The bed was very hard. Extremely firm. Very uncomfortable for sleeping. The pillow too. The toilet was built up on some sort of a pedestal. Like 30 cm above the floor.I felt like I was going to fall off every time I sat down. There was a single step up to the sink that had a big opening in it. Very dangerous specially at night when dark. A very bad design. The air conditioning was not controllable. Either fully blasting on or nearly off. The restaurant food was delicious. The views were fantastic. Staff very friendly and helpful. Walking up the long stairs, like a ladder to the cabana was dangerous to an old man like me.
