Room is clean and seemed recently renovated. However, it could use more homey decor and better lighting. It seemed very unwelcoming. There is a big gap under the door that leads directly outside. The bathroom fan is old and loud and needs to be replaced. They do not offer breakfast. We were looking forward to using the laundry facility, but for some reason they closed it before dark. We should have spent a bit more and gotten a better hotel.

Very nicely appointed rooms, spacious enough, and very very clean. All staff we met were friendly. I do think they need to have a great big sign on the door leading to the hot tub. There is a huge step down, and my husband didn't realize it and fell.

Like the rooms have been remodeled. Can’t really make use of amenities in the office area due to office hours. Most things to see in Durango are at the opposite side of town. First floor rooms have stairs so if you have heavy items to unload you will still need to carry them up a few stairs. Wanted to use the fire pit but there was no propane attached and no one around to help.

Great location for our overnight! Staff was friendly & very helpful with restaurant & brewery recs. They were finishing up a reno but very accommodating. Hot tub was the bomb! Would definitely stay here again.

Front desk service was great! Jordan F. was very welcoming and shared great dinner spots. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and I had the perfect amount of pillows. The only two downfalls I had were noisy neighbors (loud action movie playing at midnight) and my room wasn’t pitch black because of the light outside.

This was a very nice stay; a great deal at a great price. The room was very clean and everything worked as it should. Amenities were good. I also liked that the floor was NOT carpeted. The only thing I would recommend for people staying is to bring earplugs as the walls are a bit thin.

Staff was friendly enough. Room is very small, the mattress is a bit worn out with depressions, and the shower stall (no tub) had only a plastic shower curtain which had a sour odor. AC worked fine. Unfortunately, next to each door there are unshielded glaring porch lights, making it hard to see and intruding light through any crack in the curtain of the room.

Good location for access to downtown, reasonable price, clean and comfortable. Only problem was the TV internet streaming connection worked for an hour then stopped. The next morning the desk staff said we could have tried unplugging the Roku box and plugging in again. Had to ask, I guess.

This is your average side-of-the-road motel with photos that make it look more modernized than it really is. All rooms surround the parking lot so there is car and motorcycle engine noise early and late. The location, right off Durango's main drag, is also very noisy. The old-school in-wall air conditioning unit cycles on/off all night and is also noisy. Bring ear plugs. There is no maid service unless requested, which is more common these days, but I wish I'd known. One perk of staying in a hotel or motel is having the beds made and towels picked up. It's so disappointing to come back to the room to find your bed still disheveled from the night before. If you make coffee (don't) with what is provided, it won't be replenished for the next morning. The room was clean but showing wear and tear, such as a robe hook in the bathroom that was ready to fall off the wall. If you're on a tight budget, this place will suffice for a night or two, but it is far from Durango's best, or even average.

We had a great stay at the Adventure Inn. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and well maintained. This is an older, original property and they have done a great job modernizing without losing any of the charm. This place is a Durango original and I much prefer it to the cookie-cutter chains down by Walmart. It also feels very good to support a local, small business owner who cares about your experience.

As we arrived at the property, I had been dealing with a medical issue. My wife got us checked in and when explaining the situation to the person in the office - I believe it was Zach - he came out and unloaded our luggage into the room so my wife could assist me with the medical issue. Greatly appreciated.

I have stayed at this hotel before and was pleased with my stay. This time, however the hotel was in the middle of a remodel - construction equipment and parts everywhere - even piled up outside the door to my room. The bathroom sink didn't drain properly and the cable viewing on the TV did not function. In the morning (8:30am) they began construction with power tools just outside my door. Not a great stay. I brought it up with management and they apologized saying there was nothing to do about the early morning construction outside my door. This was a cool place my first stay, sorry to see it go south.

This hotel is nothing fancy but is very clean and comfortable. The staff (Zack) was so friendly and helpful suggesting dining options and other things to do in the area. He even carried our luggage up to the second floor for us (4 women traveling together).The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. Zack offered to have a pot of coffee ready for us in the morning. This hotel is older, but they are renovating the rooms. The location was perfect with only a few minutes drive to restaurants and the train station. The price was right, too. Jordan checked us out and asked how everything was. He was also very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel!

The property is a typical 2-story motel located right next the very busy highway (550) with a lot trucks trying to slow down using their engines and creating a lot of noise. So if want to sleep well, try to find a place a bit away from this road.

Great location. Was easy to get around with the free Trolley. Trolley runs every 20 mins. and the stop was less than a half block away. Also great for hiking. If in Durango again, will definitely stay here.

The Hotel is in a great spot, near several restaurants, coffee, super market, etc. Also, rooms appear to be newly renovated. For the price, this is a great spot! The ONLY issue that I had was with a full size truck in the parking lot. There are a few spots on the street so not a huge deal. Will be making this my "go to" as I travel to Durango for business on a regular basis.

This is an older motel so my expectations about room size and amenities were met. We were in town to take the train so not too much time was spent in the room anyway.They don't have a coffee maker in the room but they do offer coffee and tea in the office area. They do not offer any breakfast options but are clear about that when you are booking the room. There are many options for meals and groceries nearby.

This was a motel that had been nicely refurbished. Quiet! Could not hear anyone beside us which is great! Occasionally heard a door slam near us but overall it was much quieter than the newer hotels with someone over you tromping around late at night or extra early. We would definitely stay here again. No breakfast! Would like one just for the time saving aspect!! Maybe I’m old school but when you stay more than one day, I think someone should come in, exchange any towels left on the floor, empty the trash and provide additional cups and plastic glasses. After all, you don’t get a discount for the second day. They would probably do it if requested but I don’t think you should have to request it! Just do a quick inspection!! I realize I’m on my soapbox!!!

Swanky styled Motel…Great People …Not Close to town…older bathroom. I was in charge of finding an affordable hotel for our family for a one night stay on our way to a family reunion/wedding. I chose this motel because of the price, the reviews and the ability to get 4 double queen rooms. The check in was personable and easy. The people were funny and friendly and helped us get situated. The rooms were just what I expected - cool updated decor with nice touches and all the necessary amenities- just in an old building with old windows and plumbing. It smelled fine, it was clean. The bed was clean and comfortable with hotel-level white bedding - the bed was very solid but seemed to creak with every move. This place is great for people not wanting/needing access to town. We had a little trouble maneuvering our group to get to town for dinner and breakfast and shopping. We were never able to get a Lyft home Wed evening at 10ish. But, the price is right, the amenities good and the people great.
