Great place to stay but had to leave to get a soft drink. Vending was completely empty.

There were no luggage carts when we checked in which required us to make several trips from the parking lot and because of the renovations only 1 elevator was working so with 4 people and 2 rooms it was over an hour just to get into our room. I understand that the hotel can't be responsible for guests who hog the carts but other places I have stayed at have location readers on the carts so they know where all of them are and can retrieve them as needed. Even though this was the only thing that was bad at this location it was bad enough that I most likely would choose another location to stay the next time.

Under construction, noisy all night, vending machines empty, no water or snacks, rude staff, very smelly in all areas of hotel! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Construction and renovations have been going on way to long. Only one elevator working. No AC in hallways or elevator.

Disspointing that the lovely Lobby Bar is not open. The complimentary breakfast is lacking any hot items. We requested clean sheets and towels after our 3rd night and never got them. The rates wer great and the room clean and the location next to the Casino and Dog track made it better.

Average. No fitness center, no pool. under construction

No water until 8:00pm at night. Construction was very loud and they set off our fire alarm in the morning and no instructions on what to do. Our room was a bit dirty and there was noise all night long. Very disappointed this time.

The facility under renovations and we were in a newer section. However, the cleanliness was not ideal. There was a huge wet spot on the floor and lots of leftover hair in the bathroom in the tub and on the floor. Unfortunate!

Loved the Casino. Our room was dusty, first carpet, mold in the bathroom. They were in the middle of updating the third and fourth floor but we were on the second floor which obviously needs to be updated immediately!

Hotel was very clean

Nice clean rooms, they were doing some renovations so it was a little messy in that area, but it did not take away from the comfort of the hotel. I like the hotel was separate from the casino. We love watching the dogs run, and this hotel and casino is now our place to come back to every time.

Bugs in the bed, when I informed the front desk staff she acted like it wasn’t a big deal! There was no towel or soap holders in the shower very outdated hotel.

No signs telling you where the ice machine is located. One of them didn't work. Internet didn't work, except at the front desk. No IT help was offered. My husband & I had been on vacation for 4 weeks. This is the only place internet would not work. The room itself was nice. I asked about the type of shower and was told it had walk-in, but it was a standard tub. Very disappointed.

Room was spacious, however, unable to raise window shade... No tv streaming options ,(Netflix, Prime, or HBO)and live TV options were terrible... didn't watch much TV!!!

We usually have a great stay at this hotel. Tha AC in the room had trouble cooling the room. The toilet also made a loud noise. Hotel needs updated in some areas. Still nice to stay where the casino is.

I would stay there again for the convenience. Note that the rooms did not seem to have enough sound proofing. I could hear the people staying above me walking around ( like a cheap apartment building ). I never noticed that in other hotels.

The air conditioner is so noisy that you have to turn the TV up really loud to hear it. The shower does not drain.

Cost effective. Disappointing that the TV system was inoperable. No channel guide available. Very confusing.

Beds were so comfortable. Room was spacious and nice. Was still remodeling so breakfast was sparing but ok.

A/C did not seem cold, staff was great

This should be a 5-star rating; everything about this stay was fantastic after the check-in. The staff in the casino and housekeeping were top-notch! The room was cozy, and the bed was comfortable. We loved the images of the local spots in the room. Now, for the downfall. When checking in, one couple had an easy check-in, but no reservation could be found for the other. Although both were booked by the same person together, they were not listed under that person, and we were not told by hotels.com that it would be listed under a different name. Nor did the person behind the desk know this. When we looked up the emailed reservation, there was no phone number to call to connect with hotels.com. The person went to speak to a manager about the situation, and we were asked to pay for another night and then take the issue up with hotels.com on our own. We felt that the person at the desk and the manager came out to speak to us with a negative tone, abrasive, and not at all considering the situation we were dealing with five hours from home. Then, adding insult to injury, they told us that they would have to "find" us a room because there were no rooms available at that time. The parking lot was empty, and the casino had maybe 50 people inside. The hotel was not booked. I am not sure what the situation is with these two people; some additional training is needed for how companies like hotels.com function in their system, as well as some customer service training.

The desk check in person left much to be desired. She was not actually rude, but acted as though I was an inconvenience instead of a guest.

We arrived at 3:55 and there were no rooms ready. We went back 3 times before a king room was available. The room that we got was not the room we paid for, we booked a king suite and were given a regular king room. Apparently we weren’t the only people that had to wait so long to get a room. I did like the casino - lots of fun games to play!

They would not let us check in before 4.So at 4, we got back in line and waited in line for 30 minutes will everyone in front of us checked in only for them to tell us our room was still not ready, we had to wait longer.

It was a great experience very friendly staff

Woman manager was incredibly rude unprofessional and spoke to me as if I was incompetent or incapable of understanding her. Rude she soured my anniversary “staycation” super disappointed. I stayed here often I’ll be staying elsewhere from now on.

Room key needed for elevator access. Steps from casino via indoor walkway. Quiet sleeping rooms. Small fridge. Will definitely return to this hotel.

I liked that everything was right there, and, convenient to downtown. The parking isn’t very close to the door.

There was only one place to eat and it wasn’t that good.

Our stay at Mardi Gras Casino & Resort near Charleston, WV was very nice. We were happy with our room and the bedding was perfect weight for the summer. The room was clean, spacious, and the air conditioning system was very quiet and easy to change. The bathroom was great. The breakfast that was included was a little sparse. Would have liked something else hot besides the coffee.

Nice set up but dinner options were limited or closed. Had to travel off sight for food.

The quality of the food is quite poor, especially at French Quarter.

Fast friendly check in and the room was excellent. Clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The casino had several things closed because we were there on a Tuesday and the breakfast was toast and cereal but otherwise a great stay.

On aTuesday evening one dining option was a little cafe, good for a quick bite, but not really a dinner option.

No coffee in rooms (what hotel in 2025 doesn’t have coffee in their rooms?) Breakfast was pathetic; 2 types of muffins, couple of slices of white bread, cold cereal, or packets of oatmeal, that was about it! We couldn’t find a clean table to enjoy this gourmet!

Good - close to Casino. Bad - entrance hall torn up and very noisy. Bad - very limited in breakfast choices. Very bad - no orange juice for breakfast.

There as no hot foods for breakfast at all. No eggs, bacon, sausage or waffles. Horrible set up.
