Our stay at la Porte rouge was a dream. We got to stay in a room with garden view that was super quiet and night. The bath seemed freshly renovated and had everything one could wish for. Our hosts made us fantastic breakfast, and were always up for a talk and recommendations. The flair of the house is unbeatable. With the small garden and the old wooden floors it really feels like you are in a cozy home, the decor just rounds it perfectly. We would definitely recommend staying with them again, especially if you are travelling with pets.

Quirky and eclectic. This cute little bnb is run by a lovely couple and their daughter. Very helpful with perfect English. They found a local vet for us to see for our return trip.

We were driving from the UK to the south west of France and wanted somewhere to stay en route. What a wonderful surprise this place was. The house is a big, beautiful, old (really old!) property with very generous rooms and lovely ensuite bathrooms. The hosts are very welcoming and generous. Saintes - who knows why that big town is not more widely known as a tourist destination. Incredible architecture, lovely river walks, greta places to eat. And the best bit - we have 2 large excitable dogs who were allowed to stay too! I cannot recommend this place more highly.
