Staff was very friendly! The second day we were there we left our dirty towels outside in a basket to get picked up and replaced but no one ever came, so we did have to go to the office and ask for new ones. The guy did apologize and get them to us right away! Our bathroom also had a leak in the ceiling so after it rained it was pouring water onto the floor. But maintenance came right away and fixed it. We will definitely be back! The pool was a hit and it was a wonderful location.

Within walking distance (less than 10min) to the pier, amusement park and dining options. Property was clean, rooms were clean. They did say if you stay 4 or more nights then full housekeeping is provided halfway through the stay, but that didn’t happen so that’s why I gave it 4 stars. Staff were super nice and helpful anytime we needed anything. The heated pool was also closed one day for chemical imbalances which was a bummer, since it was a little too chilly for the beach one day. The beach is right off of the parking lot which was the best part of the stay. I also liked the guaranteed parking space, it alleviated a lot of stress about parking. The grocery store is also within a 10min drive so that was good to stock up on fruit and breakfast essentials for the hotel room. Would definitely stay here again!

This facility was great! Hospitality was excellent! Rooms were nice and bright and beachy. The only thing I could say negative is that the pool water was a bit green and not very inviting. Our room was at the sun deck so it could get a bit loud as everyone sat up there and hung out, but it was a nice place to just come out and sit in rocking chairs or at the table and play games!

Very clean room. Would have liked to have had a coffee maker in the room, but it was available in the office. Also, parking is very tight!! We got stuck in the back "A" spaces, and if there were cars on either side, it was very difficult to back out of the space. There was a car show going on the weekend we were there, so parking was always full.

Great location, easy walk to the pier either by the sand or by the road. Our was right beside the deck on the 2nd floor. It didn't bother us with people right outside the door, but it might others. The train woke me up the first night, I was not expecting that at 230am, but I didn't notice the next night but my husband did. Great staff. No laundry facility just in case you were like me and needed one. I forgot to check before I booked. It wouldn't have changed the booking but I would have been more prepared. Great bed and lots of pillows. If I am ever back in the area I would stay again.

Room was nice. I like how close it was to a beach entrance. They have an EV charger which is almost unheard of on hotel properties in New England. I was surprised to hear the loudest train traffic move through overnight 4 or 5 times. I had not read any reviews that mentioned the train sounds. In spite of that, I’d still stay there again.

Convenient area and walkable to restaurants but not anything great just a place to sleep as its not updated but did have a fridge/microwave in room. Bathroom was a bit dirty. Front desk did have coffee in the morning which was nice.

Staff was wonderful at check in . My father had a breakfast potato on the floor and one bed was covered in sand and both of our showers had pink mold all over the the shower heads. If I had noticed before I’d never have taken a shower. Since the water smelled. However, it is decorated nicely and the bed was so soft and comfortable!

The sheets and pillowcases were worn and did not look or feel clean. An investment in bedding is really needed. When walking on the floors our feet showed dirt and it felt gritty on the arrival. Window air conditioners were as loud as the train. Luckily the ceiling fan kept us comfortable.

My cousin Vinny. If you have ever seen the movie you’ll know what I’m talking about. It’s the scene when Vinny and Mona Lisa were sleeping in the hotel and all of a sudden a train comes by and shakes the pictures off the wall. Didn’t do that but the noise from the train had the same effect. Went there for a quiet vacation on the beach and if that’s what you want… go somewhere else.

We loved our room. The view of the ocean was beautiful and the room was very cute and clean. Only thing was the pillows, need to throw in some firmer ones. The feather pillows didn’t have enough filling. Made it hard to get comfortable. Other than that it was a great stay.

The rooms were very cute and comfortable! My friend and I stayed for 2 and it was a nice stay. The motel is close to train tracks so if your a light sleeper you might want to stay somewhere else. I put headphones in and my friend had earplugs and that did the trick.

Hotel was great! Super clean and great location. The only downside is that there are bright lights outside of doors and no room darkening shades- so it was pretty bright in our room all night long! Just an FYI for people who need it pitch black (like me).

Oldie but goodie! Might be a problem if you are a light sleeper as the rooms are not very noise proof but overall a great place to stay. The beach is as close as you see in the pictures!!

The room was clean and welcoming, nicely painted (with a pretty beach theme), and the beds were comfortable. It was also right next to the beach which was really convenient and fun! We did, however, feel that it was too expensive considering how tiny the room was, there was no gym or breakfast, it was very loud (thin walls and doors, you could hear the other guests clearly), and the lights outside the door stayed on all night long (it was very bright in our rooms at night even with shades closed). Also, we didn't find any pool towels and there weren't any top sheets on the beds.

My son and I had a great time! Especially when you're able to walk to the beach in a couple minutes. The room was very clean, the beds could be better, both beds had a dip in the middle and pillows were extremely soft made my neck stiff in the morning. I would definitely stay again if the mattresses and pillows changed. Staff was very friendly. Very lovely cozy stay.

Everything was clean which I much appreciated. However the mattresses in both the beds were awful ... they should have been replaced years ago. And the room I was given had zero beach view... the main windows looked at the parking lot and the bathroom window looked at the HVAC for the restaurant next door.

It’s an older property but it’s been fairly well maintained and upgraded over the years. The room was clean. There were plenty of towels. The staff was amazing. The view was amazing access to the beach was amazing and parking was not an issue. Would I stay there again? In a heart beat. We were in room 1 and if I ever stay there again, I'd want the same room.

The staff at The Edgewater were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean , comfortable, and a good size. We received clean towels everyday along with light housekeeping. It is a 2 min walk to the ocean and a great restaurant is right next door “ Joseph’s by the sea”. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

The room was immaculate; the check-in was so easy and the woman (I believe she was the owner) was incredibly nice and accommodating. The whole place is a hidden gem! Would stay there again and again! 👍👍

The ladies in the office called to tell me they had to close the office early and wanted to make sure I knew so we didn't arrive to no one in the office. They went above and beyond to make sure we had access to our room if we could arrive before they had to leave. Check in staff was great! Clean room, very cozy and welcoming!

The Edgewater is a very cute, clean hotel located directly on the beach. It has been recently redecorated, and the lobby area and rooms are nice. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful in finding restaurants in both Old Orchard and Portland. There were two issues with my room that I discussed with the staff, and they were grateful for the feedback and were seemingly going to attend to those as soon as they could. The hotel is within a very short walking distance of the pier and Old Orchard shops and restaurants; I stayed during off season but I could see that being either a pro or a con depending on how close you wanted to be to the action. This motel is in a great location within Old Orchard Beach. Just steps from the ocean and few minute walk to the heart of the town, but far and quiet enough to sleep well. The staff are so welcoming and the rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable as well.

Great location, easy walk to the pier either by the sand or by the road. Our was right beside the deck on the 2nd floor. It didn't bother us with people right outside the door, but it might others. The train woke me up the first night, I was not expecting that at 230am, but I didn't notice the next night but my husband did. Great staff. No laundry facility just in case you were like me and needed one. I forgot to check before I booked. It wouldn't have changed the booking but I would have been more prepared. Great bed and lots of pillows. If I am ever back in the area I would stay again.

Its close to all the shops and restaurants, room was clean, loved the closeness to the beach, staff was helpful, bed was comfortable. Didnt like the train rolling through in the middle of the night, but thats obviously not the hotels fault

The property itself was nice, bright and airy. There wasn't alot to do because of the time of year. The shops don't open until Mother's Day, so shopping in the area was nil. We had to go outside OOB to shop. The beach was awesome.

The staff at The Edgewater were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean , comfortable, and a good size. We received clean towels everyday along with light housekeeping. It is a 2 min walk to the ocean and a great restaurant is right next door “ Joseph’s by the sea”. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

The room was clean and welcoming, nicely painted (with a pretty beach theme), and the beds were comfortable. It was also right next to the beach which was really convenient and fun! We did, however, feel that it was too expensive considering how tiny the room was, there was no gym or breakfast, it was very loud (thin walls and doors, you could hear the other guests clearly), and the lights outside the door stayed on all night long (it was very bright in our rooms at night even with shades closed). Also, we didn't find any pool towels and there weren't any top sheets on the beds.

The pool was adequate, however the pool furniture is in need of replacement (seat fabric was tearing). Overall a good place to stay a few nights if your main vacation goal is to spend your time on the beach.

Stayed at the Edgewater the beginning of June and it was excellent! Perfect weather! It was super convenient to have a kitchenette and the room was actually pretty spacious. Everything about our stay was fantastic - clean room, had our towels changed out after only a day which was also a nice surprise. Will definitely be planning a return trip!
