The property is beautiful, the views are stunning, the pool is great, there are plenty of pickleball and tennis courts, there are restaurants available, and they provide rides to the nearest beach via golf cart. I also stayed at Marriot and Sheraton and I missed Hanalei Bay Resort the entire time I was at the other hotels. Definition of hidden gem.

I was disappointed that pool bar was closed. Also Happy Talk was also closed one day. The resort was very pretty and had great views. My choice of condo was not a great view However very quiet and peaceful. The interior of the condo was very nice. We were close to BBQ and walk to the pool was easy.

The grounds and the views were beautiful. A great beach to swim at, with lots of shade if you want it. The beach path is a little steep, but we didn’t have any issues (the resort offers rides if you can’t make the climb back up). The pool was also enjoyable, though it would have been nice if the swim-up bar had been open. The resort has one restaurant - Happy Talk, and a new place that offers take-out - Wiki Pizza. There are more dining options in Hanalei, but it’s about a 10 minute drive to get there.

The location is next level although the property was built in the 70's and needs some updating . The gym is not up to par. the swim up up bar at the pool is shut down which is a shame. I dont think they should be calling this place a resort. The staff and communication was excellent . Th views are excellent . The ride down to the beach on the cart was great. The room we stayed in definitely was dated and needed some updating.

We loved our stay! Beautiful location, and view on the bay. Love the tennis access, the pool (my kids loved it as it enables a lot of games in the waterfall etc), the beach ! Very clean and quiet! We hope to come back!

We had a very relaxing time at the Hanalei Bay Resort. Our unit was wonderful and had nice view of the jungle and jungle fowl from our balcony. Parking was limited and walking from the parking lot to the unit was undesirable, walking past dumpsters and maintenance facilities. The walk to the beach was a nice downhill walk, a motorized cart is available. The beach nice but you feel a very uncomfortable feeling of intrusion with the the neighboring hotel property. I feel the Hanalei Bay should step up their game and provide better beach seating so their guests feel as pampered as their neighbors. The restaurant on site offered good food with a bar like atmosphere. All the staff was great and helpful!

The 2-bedroom condo was spacious, clean and comfortable. The property is beautiful - including the pool, landscaping, views, nearby beach, etc. We ate at the on-site restaurant once - it was crowded and the food was ok. We really wish this resort had more food options, such as breakfast, lunch and poolside snacks and drinks. The pool and hot tub area is gorgeous, but unfortunately the pool was a little cold and no pool toys or floaties are allowed, so that took away from the fun for our family. The water pressure in the shower was terrible, and we couldn't get enough hot water for a whole shower. The location is convenient to Hanalei Bay and the other North side activities. Overall we had a great time!

As always a trip to Hawaii is amazing and during this, our second stay at HBR, we were very happy with our visit. Particularly amazing was the attentive, prompt and friendly cart service especially from Jaloni. He was a highlight and certainly Raffy and Wolf along with Ryan and the rest of the staff at Happy Talk made our visit so fun. We loved the views of Hanalei Bay and Bali High and our room was mostly comfortable. We could have used a few more towels more than just twice in our 2 week stay and noticed the louvred doors really needed dusting. The first couple nights without AC in the second bedroom were a small challenge, but they provided an extension cord so we could position the floor fan in the doorway to blow in the cooler air from the rest of the unit into the room to sleep. We'll definitely return!

This property is BEAUTIFUL. We stayed in the Bougainvillea building on the 1st floor corner room, where our ground floor patios faced the side edge of the pool, but also faced the gorgeous abundant mountain range. This was technically a “garden view room,” but it’s almost impossible to have a bad view anywhere at this resort, I imagine. Our unit was a timeshare unit (not privately owned) that we booked via Expedia. For just 2 of us we had 2 patios (one from master, one from living room), 2 full bathrooms, 2 closets, 2 front entry doors, a living room and a master bedroom AND a full kitchen and pantry! The hallway of the master had a privacy door that closed off at the kitchen if privacy needed. The unit had a musty smell to it. It was overall clean. There was a little bug on top of the blanket of the bed. The linen and trash service was great and efficient. Amenities are so great — The lobby is beautiful & welcoming. The lagoon pool is gorgeous and huge & open til 10pm I believe (there is no swim-up bar anymore). The Happy Talk Lounge/Bar is lovely in the evening, with live music. There are like 10 tennis courts. 4 beach towels in the room, but beach towels are unlimited as long as you return the wet ones. The beach access was a slightly long walk down a paved trail, easily doable for active people, but there is shuttle service (golf cart). The beach is AMAZING in terms of beauty and seclusion, and the VIEW of the mountain ranges! The parking is pretty good/can get full.

Loved our stay, we had gorgeous mountain view on first floor. Pool and hot tub were very nice. We loved the happy talk restaurant and the pizza place. Also enjoyed the sunset view from the restaurants. Our bed was very comfortable, only thing negative about our room is the dishwasher didn't work very good but other than that it was amazing. I would definitely go back

The hotel itself is nice and very scenic. However, I felt that it was pretty pricy for what was available. Several amenities weren't open, including the swim up bar, the second restauarant, and the gift shop. There was no room service either. I ended up going to the store to get a few food options since the only restaurant there didn't open until late afternoon. It was nice that there was a full kitchen (this probably helped me save money on food in the long run anyway). The beach access was great! A bit of a hike of you wanted to walk, but the hotel did offer a shuttle down there, which I appreciated. The concierge was wonderful and helped me set up a couple of excursions. My biggest complaint was probably how thin the walls were. I could hear my upstairs neighbors arguing and slamming doors, and I could hear the roosters EVERY morning around 5am (clear as day, almost as if they were in my room). Overall, I would consider staying there, but maybe once all the construction is done and all the amenities are available.

The property was beautiful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Even though we didn’t have an ocean view we very much enjoyed our view of the mountains and waterfalls and all the beautiful plants. The beach was a bit of a walk but through beautiful paved tropical paradise. Good snorkeling right off the beach and a closeby beach bar. Great bar/restaurant with awesome views and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Our Unit was so OLD, the carpet was paper thin, the front door had a 1 inch gap...had to keep it covered so mosquitos wouldn't come in when we were inside and when we left. The kitchen was appropriated very well...all the necessities. The front desk was fine, the food at the restaurant was week.

This resort was a pleasant surprise with beautiful mountain range views at the resort and from the bedrooms balconies . The beach was so accessible , safe and there was also a golf cart service to and from the beach with a phone call. Staff is extremely friendly , rooms are spacious with nice bedding. Kitchen has all sorts of utensils, toaster , kettle , a fridge and microwave.

The hotel itself is nice and very scenic. However, I felt that it was pretty pricy for what was available. Several amenities weren't open, including the swim up bar, the second restauarant, and the gift shop. There was no room service either. I ended up going to the store to get a few food options since the only restaurant there didn't open until late afternoon. It was nice that there was a full kitchen (this probably helped me save money on food in the long run anyway). The beach access was great! A bit of a hike of you wanted to walk, but the hotel did offer a shuttle down there, which I appreciated. The concierge was wonderful and helped me set up a couple of excursions. My biggest complaint was probably how thin the walls were. I could hear my upstairs neighbors arguing and slamming doors, and I could hear the roosters EVERY morning around 5am (clear as day, almost as if they were in my room). Overall, I would consider staying there, but maybe once all the construction is done and all the amenities are available.

As always a trip to Hawaii is amazing and during this, our second stay at HBR, we were very happy with our visit. Particularly amazing was the attentive, prompt and friendly cart service especially from Jaloni. He was a highlight and certainly Raffy and Wolf along with Ryan and the rest of the staff at Happy Talk made our visit so fun. We loved the views of Hanalei Bay and Bali High and our room was mostly comfortable. We could have used a few more towels more than just twice in our 2 week stay and noticed the louvred doors really needed dusting. The first couple nights without AC in the second bedroom were a small challenge, but they provided an extension cord so we could position the floor fan in the doorway to blow in the cooler air from the rest of the unit into the room to sleep. We'll definitely return!

Everyone was great! Property was clean and easy to get around. Took a minute to figure out we didn’t need to ride the cart every time to our room. Front desk staff was not very friendly, so we just stayed to ourselves. Despite the front desk we still plan to go back!

I don't know what I was charged for long after I left the hotel. I know we lost a towel but had a large charge long after we left with no explanation. The check in was amazingly slow and confusing. The room was fine but the refrigerator took a day and a half to cool so we lost a bunch of food. It seemed the place was nice but the management was not so nice.

Very disappointing stay. This place is not a hotel. Very limited services provided. This is the only location where we had to pay for parking. Parking was far away from the appartement (with hills). We had some billing issues and the conversation with the front desk was far from pleasant. The checkout was done by an employee who clearly has no idea how customer relationship works. We have been traveling for years and we never experienced such a disappointment. Which was a bizarre experience because we were in one of the most beautiful place in the world.

The property was beautiful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Even though we didn’t have an ocean view we very much enjoyed our view of the mountains and waterfalls and all the beautiful plants. The beach was a bit of a walk but through beautiful paved tropical paradise. Good snorkeling right off the beach and a closeby beach bar. Great bar/restaurant with awesome views and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

The grounds and the views were beautiful. A great beach to swim at, with lots of shade if you want it. The beach path is a little steep, but we didn’t have any issues (the resort offers rides if you can’t make the climb back up). The pool was also enjoyable, though it would have been nice if the swim-up bar had been open. The resort has one restaurant - Happy Talk, and a new place that offers take-out - Wiki Pizza. There are more dining options in Hanalei, but it’s about a 10 minute drive to get there.

The location is next level although the property was built in the 70's and needs some updating . The gym is not up to par. the swim up up bar at the pool is shut down which is a shame. I dont think they should be calling this place a resort. The staff and communication was excellent . Th views are excellent . The ride down to the beach on the cart was great. The room we stayed in definitely was dated and needed some updating.

We loved our stay! Beautiful location, and view on the bay. Love the tennis access, the pool (my kids loved it as it enables a lot of games in the waterfall etc), the beach ! Very clean and quiet! We hope to come back!

We had a very relaxing time at the Hanalei Bay Resort. Our unit was wonderful and had nice view of the jungle and jungle fowl from our balcony. Parking was limited and walking from the parking lot to the unit was undesirable, walking past dumpsters and maintenance facilities. The walk to the beach was a nice downhill walk, a motorized cart is available. The beach nice but you feel a very uncomfortable feeling of intrusion with the the neighboring hotel property. I feel the Hanalei Bay should step up their game and provide better beach seating so their guests feel as pampered as their neighbors. The restaurant on site offered good food with a bar like atmosphere. All the staff was great and helpful!

The 2-bedroom condo was spacious, clean and comfortable. The property is beautiful - including the pool, landscaping, views, nearby beach, etc. We ate at the on-site restaurant once - it was crowded and the food was ok. We really wish this resort had more food options, such as breakfast, lunch and poolside snacks and drinks. The pool and hot tub area is gorgeous, but unfortunately the pool was a little cold and no pool toys or floaties are allowed, so that took away from the fun for our family. The water pressure in the shower was terrible, and we couldn't get enough hot water for a whole shower. The location is convenient to Hanalei Bay and the other North side activities. Overall we had a great time!

I was disappointed that pool bar was closed. Also Happy Talk was also closed one day. The resort was very pretty and had great views. My choice of condo was not a great view However very quiet and peaceful. The interior of the condo was very nice. We were close to BBQ and walk to the pool was easy.

Loved our stay, we had gorgeous mountain view on first floor. Pool and hot tub were very nice. We loved the happy talk restaurant and the pizza place. Also enjoyed the sunset view from the restaurants. Our bed was very comfortable, only thing negative about our room is the dishwasher didn't work very good but other than that it was amazing. I would definitely go back
