Hotel was beyond what we could have expected. The hotel was serene feeling, almost as if the entire hotel was part of the on-site spa. Every detail was luxury, down to the diffused lightly scented air throughout, the full sized spa toiletries provided, and extremely helpful and curteous staff available and eager to help with every possible need. The complementary electric Audi's available to use for short distance trips to other beaches and botanical gardens were a wonderful addition, as well. As a regular traveler, this destination and hotel lands at the top of our list!

Beautiful resort, amazing location. Genuinely felt like staying on a remote island. Quiet and peaceful. However, extremely annoying that valet is the only option for parking and is $50 a day, when staying up there practically requires that you have a car to travel with. Also, we were told the buffet was included with the room we rented, but then they charged us for it every day and I had to ask for it to be removed. It happened again the day we left and I had to call once we were home to have that charge removed again. Just annoying and felt like multiple people weren’t doing their job properly.

1 Hotel had stunning views even from the rooms, many amenities such as multiple pools and gym with fitness classes, e-bike rentals, & friendly staff. It’s a perfect spot for relaxation. I absolutely love this hotel and recommend it!

Stunning location. Very attentive staff. The whole experience feels relaxing and luxurious. Many times we had areas completely to ourselves. The stars were amazing with no light pollution and 24 hour access to heated pool and hot tub. Spa sauna access was great as well.

We had a room that was described as having pool access yet they gave us a room without pool access. There is glaringly loud music that starts early morning until 10pm every night and we had kids in the hot tub outside our room till after 11pm. We also had roaches in our room. Quite disappointing on a few levels at the rate we paid. You can also hear everything above you and the room above us was quite disturbing. All said, beautiful property and amazing location.

Absolutely stunning property as I expected from all the reviews! They were nice enough to upgrade me to a high floor--had a beautiful room overlooking the ocean. There were a couple minor hiccups with the TV and shower, but they were quickly resolved. My only complaint was that the beautiful soft lighting in the room was not great for trying to work, and or seeing myself in the full length mirror! But it was a stunning, tranquil room with a very comfortable bed, amazing huge window and shower that felt like you were showering in a rain forest!

Stunningly beautiful facility. Very new, clean, everything beautiful to look at, and amazing views. Took a star off because it is kind of a stuffy place. Some of the staff was super friendly, some seemed like they had their noses turned up and didn’t want to be bothered. Tried calling concierge multiple days in a row, never got through, no voicemail was set up. Asked for room advice, lady was really unfriendly and said the most expensive rooms are the best, and would you really want to come all this way and not have the best? Seemed like a tone deaf answer when some rooms are more than double the cost. The outside of the windows in the rooms need to be cleaned more often. They are dirty and makes for a hazy view. One of the most beautiful properties I’ve stayed at, but just didn’t care for the vibe of some of the people and staff there, so probably wouldn’t go back. Room tip: request a room higher and more towards the middle if you have a Mountain View. If you are low your view will be blocked by trees and landscaping by, and if you’re at the end you’ll be looking at a lot of empty fields. Towards the middle you’ll see a lot more ocean.

Really restful stay. Its been recently refurbished - so all the facilities are sparkling new! Also reflects the chill atmosphere of the island. Wish the parking/valet costs were not mandatory - would make things feel a bit more cost efficient. Will stay again and probably also try their other locations.

Beautiful location nic facilities but: paid for an ocean view in a tropical location. Assumed it came with a balcony. Did not seem to have any rooms that had balconies. Also I broke a glass in our room cut my foot. They cleaned up mess but did not do a good enough job cleaning an area rug. My husband stepped on a piece of clad the next day. Blood every where, he had to go to a medical facility to have it removed. The blood got all over the rug. They were not able to get the blood out of the rug. Instead of removing it we had to stair at these big blood stains the rest of the trip. Also paid a lot for room and we felt we got very little for it. No nalcany and they charged too much for extras. Felt like they were nickel and dimming us.

The hotel is very beautiful, with very scenic spots and a wonderful pool area. The food is good, not exceptional. We got an oceanfront room, and found it very small - way below the expected for a hotel of this price range - and too dark, and slighltly poorly equiped.

The design of the property alone, with its vistas of Hanalei Bay around every corner, plus the beautifully appointed rooms and great staff, makes it all worthwhile. Our only minor quibble is the service can be slow at times, especially at their main restaurant and bar, and with their bell (luggage) services. This might have been that they were understaffed given the slightly off-season time we were there, but at these luxury price points slow service, for whatever reason, should not be tolerated. To pay north of $1K per night I expect my food to arrive within a reasonable amount of time (say, within 20m). After all, while the food is very good it is not Michelin-starred (so why the long wait times...?) In the grand scheme of our stay this was minor and we would definitely return.

Excellent interior design choices, very attentive staff and stunning views from our oceanside room. Room was laid out perfectly, with beds out of site of the room door (so no hallway light keeping us awake), clear view of the bay and mountains on the other side of the bay from natural laying positions on the bed, perfect stone and wood finishes that echoed the nature around us, endless filtered water in the room. I could go on.

You pay a bunch to stay here and frankly it qas rpetty disappointing Checkin took over an hr. No apology Bags werent delivered to room until more than 3 hrs after arrival. We had nothing to wear for dinner. No apology No real food options in walking distance Power went out in restaurant at hotel so couldnt even get food at one point I was travelling with a friend. The hotel staff continuously called my friend mrs (my last name) which was pretty presumptuous and offensive in this day and age. She was getting pretty annoyed by it too Overall found it pretty disappointing. Hotel didnt seem to care. Try someone else next time :)

We stayed four nights. The property and the setting are absolutely impeccable. The service was quite good. However, there were a few episodes of service which although were well intended, seemed a bit rough around the edges. These would not even bear mentioning anywhere else, but they just stood out in such a wonderful 5 star hotel. We attributed it to the fact that the hotel had opened about 9 months earlier and per staff had seen a ton of new hires. But this is not a complaint, only an observation which we are sure will disappear with time. What also bears mentioning is how exceptional the food was. Everything we tried from the pool, to the sushi restaurant, to the breakfast was fantastic. We will definitely come back as soon as we can.

While the property grounds and the views are amazing, the hotel staff is in need of either more help or more training. We enjoyed our stay and would come back however it does not have a 5 star resort feel. Valet staff and the host for the bar were the most welcoming staff we interacted with.

There was a problem at every turn - a problem with getting our bags following check-in, a problem with the room, a problem at the restaurants, and a problem with billing. The staff had unprofessional attitudes and were not considerate in assisting to resolve any of these issues. It was beyond frustrating and completely unnecessary, especially considering the hefty cost to stay at this hotel. The grounds are beautiful but it does not make up for the constant issues and burden to resolve the problems.

Views and turndown service were great . Food was overpriced and only two lunch/dinner options. The beach is not actually a beach as there are reefs in the shallow water so mostly for tanning but not for enjoying the ocean. Not much access to other parts of the island if you scheduled other pursuits and Ubers/lyfts can be pricey. Good if you’re planning on staying at the resort during your entire stay.

I absolutely loved my stay and wish I could’ve stayed longer. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we are so glad we did. It was beautiful, and very elegant. It was very expensive and didn’t have a lot of food options. We ate out most of the time, and had one dinner at the property. Luckily a few restaurants and food trucks were nearby to keep our bank accounts from drying out completely.

Incredible location, friendly staff, nice rooms and hotel layout. Bad food! The restaurants over priced and breakfast and terrace food tasted pre-prepared and reheated (like a Starbucks). Go into town for food. Lots of options and fresh!!

The hotel was absolutely stunning inside and out. The views were incredible and the staff was amazing! Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, making it an excellent place to stay. The only feedback I have is regarding dining. It would be nice to have more casual options onsite, especially during the week, without always needing a reservation at the two dinner restaurant options. Another suggestion would be to include certain water activities, like paddle boards, in the stay. For the price point, I was surprised these weren’t offered, especially since I’ve stayed at less luxurious hotels that included them as part of the experience. Aside from that, I have nothing negative to say. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be coming back (budget permitting 😉).
