This was a complete waste of money. The cabin was dirty, wet, and musty smelling. There's no space between cabins and things are in disrepair or non-functional. Staff was very unhelpful with questions regarding parking while we visited the island, so we just opted to park off site to play it safe. The "waterpark" is a very poorly kept up hotel pool area with a small water feature for children. It was dirty and cold. We felt completely scammed!

Sauna not working. Some jets in the hot tub not working. Handicap cabin 337 needs a new mattress on sofa sleeper. More blankets and sheets for the sofa sleeper liked the early check in. Water park was nice for the kids.

The outdoor pool was so cold and the hot tub was not working.The indoor pool was much better. The exterior was in poor condition, chipping paint, molding unkept carpet on the stairs and walk ways. The beds are very comfortable.

They left trash outside of our room. There was a huge pothole puddle in the parking lot, the pools were all cloudy, and the toilet seat was broken… but otherwise the staff was great, the place is so so close to the mackinaw island ferry, it’s a perfect location and area for family and kids.

The hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel was outdated and a little ran down. The water park was a nice addition, but the water was cloudy and the abundance of chemicals burned our eyes. We stayed in the hotel section, so maybe the cabins were better.

I was not impressed with this property by any means. It looks like it hasn't been worked on in years. There was mold around the caulking in the shower. The bathroom fan did not work therefore causing the bathroom mirror to become extremely fogged up. The wi-fi at its best was 6 Mbps. Highly unacceptable when facility is using Spectrum internet as thier provider. If you don't care about Wi-Fi and you don't care about cleanliness then this is your place.

The rooms were very dirty, uncleaned, dusty, and old. They had a moldy smell to them. The shower heads were very low and had black stuff all around them. I’m going home tonight and feel like I have to shower with bleach. Felt like a 1 star motel. Way too over priced. Never again

The beds in the bedrooms were fine; although the light in one bedroom didn’t work and was almost hanging from the wall. The smoke detector in the other bedroom was disconnected. The pullout couch, where I slept, was very dirty, and the springs made it extremely hard to get comfortable. I cleaned the air conditioning unit- the whole place was dusty, cobwebby, and did not seem vacuumed. The floors in the bathroom were sticky. The dirt and cobwebs on the outside of the cabin were fine- I tent-camp and am not a complainer but, the dirt and cobwebs inside were not acceptable. We used the cabin only to sleep, so we worked around the inconveniences.

OUR ROOM WAS FILTHY & SMELLED LIKE URINE!! We asked the staff 2 DAYS IN A ROW to clean the bathroom & they could've cared less! I was personally assured by Jamaican woman at the front desk, on Wednesday morning at 8:45 AM that this is unacceptable & would be sanitized immediately! When we returned 10 hours later, the room had not been entered at all & STILL WREAKED OF URINE! IT WAS DISGUSTING! When i went to the front desk to tell them , (YES, the SAME WOMAN!) she REFUSED TO LOOK AT ME, LET ALONE ANSWER MY QUESTION! The Jamaican guy at the front desk told me - flat out, "DON'T TALK TO ME!" &wouldn't look up from.his computer! This place is a filthy sh*thole that is run down & ran by a staff of INCOMPETENT people that do NOT care & are RUDE on top of it! With all the.places in Mackinaw City, STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

Room smelled of wet dog and worse when we arrived. Window had been left open to air out prior to our arrival. Staff quickly and kindly switched us to another room, but sent cleaning staff to spray it profusely as we walked in. Minor wear and tear that could been easily repaired and wasn't, giving a careworn appearance. I stepped out of the shower to grab soap, and after stepping on the carpet with damp feet,I left BLACK footprints on the white bathmatt. Beds clean and comfortable. But I understood we were staying in a cabin, but it was just a hotel room. It was none refundable, orherwise we probably would have left, as I am allergic to dogs and try not to stay at pet friendly facilities.

They didn’t clean the cabin. We had no blinds in the kitchen. Cob webs everywhere and spiders everywhere. Carpet was so dirty. The bathroom was nasty. Just all around dirty. Could not sleep because of all the loud noises. Water park was so dirty. Windows had mildew and nasty stuff all over. Our outside lights didn’t even work. Had problems with the light inside the cabin as well. Too close to everyone. No privacy at all.

Everything was clean and tidy. Just quality of furnishing was less than usual. Also limited outlets was a problem. Hot tub was adequate but tricky to get in and out of. Overall stay was good, not sure I would return.

We booked a room with two queen beds, but when we got there the lady at the desk said they over booked but they were going to give us a cabin instead. The are some beautiful cabins at the front of the property so we agreed. The cabin we received was in the back. It was very small but did have a queen bed in each room (two rooms), and a living room. The only air conditioner was mounted in the wall in the living room. We ended having to set it at 60 to get it to cool the rooms. The cabin was cute but small and old. My sons bed was broken on one side to you slept at an angle. The end of our bed sloped downward. The rooms were just big enough to squeeze around the sides of the beds. We did not have towels or soap in the room, so I had to go to the desk and get some. We were missing a smoke detector. It was not very clean at all. The cost was cheap so I guess we got what we paid for.

The location is the best part of this property. We stayed in the hotel part not the cabins. The room is in rough shape. The door to the outside gaps and you can see outside when it is closed, which is better than the bathroom door that doesn't close at all. The amenities listed a microwave which our room did not have, when I asked I was told that only the cabins have microwaves. In addition there was makeup on one of the bed pillows, the others seemed clean so we just didn't use that one. My kids did enjoy the water park passes.

Room was dated. The air conditioner and lights were very, very dusty. Mini fridge condenser was frozen over so it didn’t work well. Beds were really comfortable. We had great water pressure in the shower and very hot water. Having the patio chairs out front was nice.

Overall, enjoyed our stay. Loved the cabins for larger families and that the water park had unlimited availability for guests (during the hours posted).The staff was friendly and accommodating when requested pillow and blanket for pullout couch. The cleanliness of the cabins needs to be improved: partially empty water bottle found on floor in kitchen, used makeup wipes left behind in bathroom drawer, pacifier found on floor under bed. The pullout couch was bent, broken and uncomfortable and one of the televisions didn’t work. Neither was upsetting to the children (thought it was fun that the couch bed tipped down on the ends and popped up in the middle). Safety concern with the water sanitation of the pools and hot tubs. The cleanliness of the cabins needs to be improved: partially empty water bottle found on floor in kitchen, used makeup wipes left behind in bathroom drawer, pacifier found on floor under bed. The pullout couch was bent, broken and uncomfortable and one of the televisions didn’t work. Neither was upsetting to the children (thought it was fun that the couch bed tipped down on the ends and popped up in the middle). Safety concern with the water sanitation of the pools and hot tubs. Had multiple things not working - Internet and cable TV, refrigerator and porch light. Called front desk multiple times and was promised service that never came. Talked to Manager who rudely and sarcastically said “sorry, have a nice day.” Staff absolutely rude, didn’t care are offensive. The room was the size of a closet with nowhere to sit or move around. The honeymoon jacuzzi room was ok. There was room for more cleanliness and air that worked better. The raccoon that was in the ceiling was a little funny but kept us up all night. We moved to the actual cabin and were very happy and wish we had got that from the start. Very roomy and all around amazing. The staff was super friendly and willing to help you. They were super amazing and very happy. You don’t get that kind of kindness these days and it was nice. You can walk to almost everything as well as the beach across the street with fore pits and chairs is awesome! Will definitely return and get the cabin again

We really liked the staff! Meg at the front desk was so kind and helpful! They let us check in 2 hours early. The tv wasn't hooked up so when she sent someone to fix it he was also kind and courteous. There wasn't a microwave and the door to the room was so hard to open that I had to push it open with my whole body. It was very clean and within walking distance to all the stores ,,dining and water! I would recommend this place. The price was very reasonable! Plus we had access to the indoor Waterpark at no extra charge. We will be going back next year.

OUR ROOM WAS FILTHY & SMELLED LIKE URINE!! We asked the staff 2 DAYS IN A ROW to clean the bathroom & they could've cared less! The front desk service was a little rude and when checking in we thought we rented cabins offline and it was not the cabins so online when ordering room service this it is misled and also we need to fix things in the water park things are broken and staff does not fix them for you

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfy and most important to me, the staff were friendly and treated you with kindness. I will definitely stay there again. The only thing our room didn't have was a microwave but they do have one in the lobby.

I loved that everything was walkable from this cabin. We basically parked on arrival and didn’t have to drive until check out. The cabin itself could’ve used some updating, but had everything we needed so no sense in complaining. We didn’t use either pool area, but it was nice to have both indoor and outdoor options. The cabins advertised breakfast, however, we didn’t partake.

Overall, the cabin was clean. And very well kept. The outside had lots of spiders. A couple of the outlets didn’t work & the water pressure was awful. The tub was big enough for 3 people. The water park was nice for the kids. The beach is actual in front of another hotel but less than 5 minute walk. We walked to all the stores and food. Lots of stuff to do near the cabin. Def worth checking out and staying there. But they don’t offer breakfast & give you a coupon for this breakfast Buffett down the road & that is NOT worth it. It cost $84 for two adults & two children. We had some eggs, a couple pancakes, fruit bowls, & two coffees. Better food places a little further down. The ferry was nice, & close. The hotel offers discount tickets. The staff at the cabin was incredibly friendly & helpful. It’s in a quiet area. You can still see the water from our porch.

They don't have breakfast so to bring your own would be nice to have a microwave they did not had to go to the office and use the one in there. Also there were no washer and dryer had to use at another hotel which they let the customers do. Other wise it was nice cute inside

I rented a family cabin. There was a king size bed and the large loft, pull out bed in the sofa in the living room with a large TV and cable. Very good size refrigerator and freezer, microwave, double sink, bedroom with queen bed t.v., and one bathroom with stand up shower on main floor. We stayed in the smaller cabins that are right behind the newer larger looking ones that you can see from out front. They were definitely dated, but still not too bad. It could use some upgrading like tearing the old nasty carpet out and maybe installing hardwood floors, laminate floors, or something along that line. Beyond that everything else was fairly decent did not see any major bugs other than an occasional spider, but that’s to be expected seeing how you’re literally staying in a cabin. Overall, not a bad place to stay for the price.

We ran out of toilet paper. It is definitely a bait and switch place. The cabin they show in the picture is not the one you may be staying in. Our bed sheets had an unidentified stain on them? Was it clean? Parking is horrendous. For sure will not be staying there again or telling anyone to stay there
