The room was in need of updates. The floor was warped where water from the leaking shower doors had damaged the floor. There was dust buildup in the corners of the room. The breakfast was the same every day, no variation. The rooftop bar was no longer in operation, but you could go and sit on the terrace.

We arrived at the hotel a day late due to flight problems. The lovely gentleman at the desk went out of his way to contact house keeping to ensure our room was ready explaining that he knew we would be tired. The front reception area was lovely. You could see the dining room opening and this area was neat, tidy, clean but also quite basic. The lift was quite modern however the staircase was absolutely beautiful. A carved, marble, sweeping area from the ground floor to the gorgeous rooftop garden/bar which sadly was closed. The bedroom itself was very basic, there was a building site outside our bedroom window (outside the hotels control) however the bed itself was extremely comfortable. The hotel location was really good for the Vatican but a little way outside the city but close enough to access via the public transport system which was fantastic albeit costly. The area had quite a few very nice bar, restaurant, pizzerias. All in all I would say we had a very pleasant stay for a reasonable price. Thank you

Reasonable hotel, dont bother paying extra for a vatican view, our " view" was out on the balcony and looking right you could just see the dome of St. Peter's. A/C wasn't upto to the job when it was high 30s outside, especially overnight. No rooftop bar as they are struggling for staff. Website won't let me upload pictures

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nothing special. There is a building site right next door, which will be noisy and dusty at times - we were lucky that hardly anyone was working on it during our stay.

The views of St. Peter’s from rooftop are beautiful. However, there is no mention of the noise, huge crane over property and the construction site right next to the hotel. This started on 2024 and still ongoing for 1.5 yrs. I had been here before and I was looking for an enjoyable and quiet stay. Hotel won’t reimburse you for the noise inconvenience or misrepresentation. The front desk guy Maximilian was rude. He also didn’t help to change the language on the computer to English for me to print my airline ticket. My trash cans or coffee mugs weren’t clean for 2 days. Room Temp was hot. It used to be one of my favorites hotels for its location and customer service, not anymore.

We have stayed this place for 5 days and complained things after first night. They changed our room in 3rd day. The room we had first has: The next room's bathroom was sharing a common wall with the room. Whatever they do there was like happening in our room. There is a construction also, it can be very noisy. If you're not normally getting up 7:30 sharp, you will. The bathroom was looking clean at first glance but the cleaining is obviously done very superficially. Dusch was full of water stains and other things you can imagine between the glasses etc. The second room they put us had: Softer bed, less noise and newer bathroom. However it still had so many dirty places in the bathroom and I couldn't get into the dusch room due to insects on the dusch floor. There was a towel on the floor, insects started running around once I touched it. Breakfast: The breakfast had only few options and they are not changed for 5 days at all. Some bakery I tasted was not fresh. Facility and employees: There is only one elevator and everyone uses it. Including the staff. We have called the elevator few times and it stopped at our floor with full of stuff like towels. The employees just pressed close button and moved on. No guest priority arrived to Rome I suppose. Last day we saw an old man with suite, probably was the boss and he wasn't nice to the guests also. Reception personell was overally nice and helpful.

Das Hotel ist sehr einfach, die Zimmer auf den ersten Blick sauber, jedoch wurde der Schlafbereich, trotz täglicher Reinigung, scheinbar nicht geputzt. Nach dem Duschen hatte man nach dem durchqueren des Zimmers staubige Füße. Die Dusche war verkalkt, die Halterung der Handbrause hing nur noch an einer Schraube, die Heizung war scheinbar undicht und verkalkt an den Seiten. Der Boden im Schlafbereich hatte Risse, die Wand war unsauber mit weißer Farbe angestrichen. Die Betten waren bequem. Das Frühstück war nicht gerade toll. Wenig Auswahl, nur Toastbrot und wenig Auswahl an Belag. Der Herr am Empfang grüßte zwar immer freundlich, beim Auschecken wurden wir jedoch weder grfagt, wie der Aufenthalt war, noch, wurde "Auf Wiedersehen" gesagt. Das Hotel an sich ist extrem hellhörig, man hört in starker Lautstärke die Dusche des Zimmers nebenan und Schritte und Stimmen auf dem Flur sowie das Poltern der Leute, die die Treppe nutzen. In der ersten Nacht vergnügte sich lautstark ein Pärchen nebenan. Die Lage des Hotels ist ansonsten ruhig, eine super gute Pizzeria direkt nebenan, die Metrostation 3 Minuten zu Fuß und die Bushaltestelle 3 Minuten in die andere Richtung. Alles in allem ist das Hotel halbwegs okay. Die guten Bewertungen kann ich allerdings nicnachvollziehen

The staff was very pleasant, breakfast decent, but there was mold all over the bathroom. You could tell the floors hadn’t been mopped, nothing had been deep cleaned, and it all smelled of pee. If you tried to get fresh air, there would just been smoke filling the room. I would definitely not recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days and had several issues. After the first night, we raised our concerns, and our room was changed on the 3rd day. The initial room was noisy due to a shared bathroom wall and nearby construction. The bathroom appeared clean but had superficial cleaning with noticeable stains. The second room was better with a softer bed and less noise but still had cleanliness issues, including insects in the shower. The breakfast offered limited options that didn’t change during our stay, and some bakery items were not fresh. The hotel has only one elevator shared by guests and staff, which was often filled with supplies, and staff did not prioritize guests. On our last day, a manager seemed unpleasant towards guests. On 10-10-2023, we arrived before check-in. Simon allowed us to leave our luggage. When we arrived at 7:30PM from our tour the room was not available/cleaned. The night manager, Arturo, was upset that I stayed by the door to make sure the room was cleaned properly as he as going to clean the room. I also told him I didn’t want a dirty quilt put back on the bed. Arturo told me I should go to another hotel. I told him that at this time (8:30 PM) I cannot go find another hotel. I also told him that I have every right to be upset as I made my reservation 10 months in advance back in January. Arturo didn’t speak to me after that. The room was finished after 9 PM. The room did not resemble like the pictures on their website. The room was very out dated, leak and mildew on shower door.

The hotel was close proximity to St Peter's Basilica and good restaurant and cafe. The room was right size and clean. The staff were all very nice and helpful. From check in to check out everyone we met were awesome. Front Desk Max checked us in early, walked us to the next door resto and booked us taxi back to the airport. The other front desk guys were as nice as well. We would definitely stay at Hotel Gravina again and highly recommend them to travelers visiting Rome.

The location of this property isn’t great. It’s close to the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica but isn’t close to other Rome sites. The breakfast was ok. The shower was horribly small and uncomfortable. I would not use this hotel again.

Reasonable hotel, dont bother paying extra for a vatican view, our " view" was out on the balcony and looking right you could just see the dome of St. Peter's. A/C wasn't upto to the job when it was high 30s outside, especially overnight. No rooftop bar as they are struggling for staff. Website won't let me upload pictures

Great views of Vatican City from our balcony. Wonderful breakfast included (and I don’t even like breakfast). So easy to walk everywhere from our hotel. Our only complaint was it was quite hot in the afternoons and our thermostat could not be set lower than about 75. It was really hot trying to sleep at night. Otherwise, we loved our stay here.

Air condition couldn't be adjusted. Either full power cooling on high speed fan (noise) or off. Very bad noise protection. Every step on the floor or at the stairs, any water flow in the neighbor rooms very disturbing. From 6am sleeping not possible anymore. Breakfast acceptable, limited choices.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nothing special. There is a building site right next door, which will be noisy and dusty at times - we were lucky that hardly anyone was working on it during our stay.

The hotel served a very limited breakfast. The room was ok but the shower was very small and awkward to get into and out off. It was on a back street within 10 minutes walk of the Vatican & St Peter’s Basilica but a 25 minute bus ride from the main attractions of Rome. The buses were frequent but very crowded.

reception and staff were very helpful. provided guidance about the area. Mike and esp Andrea went above and beyond to help us to safely get around the area. Andrea even packed up a bag of breakfast for us to take to the airport on the day we left (around 4 AM). Excellent location, walking distance to Vatican city and very close to public transportation to access to other important sites. I recommend this place to anyone.

On 10-10-2023, we arrived before check-in. Simon allowed us to leave our luggage. When we arrived at 7:30PM from our tour the room was not available/cleaned. The night manager, Arturo, was upset that I stayed by the door to make sure the room was cleaned properly as he as going to clean the room. I also told him I didn’t want a dirty quilt put back on the bed. Arturo told me I should go to another hotel. I told him that at this time (8:30 PM) I cannot go find another hotel. I also told him that I have every right to be upset as I made my reservation 10 months in advance back in January. Arturo didn’t speak to me after that. The room was finished after 9 PM. The room did not resemble like the pictures on their website. The room was very out dated, leak and mildew on shower door.

The views of St. Peter’s from rooftop are beautiful. However, there is no mention of the noise, huge crane over property and the construction site right next to the hotel. This started on 2024 and still ongoing for 1.5 yrs. I had been here before and I was looking for an enjoyable and quiet stay. Hotel won’t reimburse you for the noise inconvenience or misrepresentation. The front desk guy Maximilian was rude. He also didn’t help to change the language on the computer to English for me to print my airline ticket. My trash cans or coffee mugs weren’t clean for 2 days. Room Temp was hot. It used to be one of my favorites hotels for its location and customer service, not anymore.

This hotel is just a 20 minute walk from the Vatican, very convenient for that. Outside you have 2 restaurants and a supermarket. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The bed in the room was too small for the 3 of us. Hair dryer stopped working and was replaced with a newer model. Air conditioning could be controlled once it was granted through the front desk. Overall we had a good visit.

Ruime kamer en fijne badkamer met prima douche. De bedden waren goed. Het hotel ligt op circa 15 minuten lopen van het Vaticaan. De bussen stoppen net om de hoek en die brengen je overal in Rome. Het ontbijt is eenvoudig, maar voldoende. Goed hotel om als basis te dienen voor een meerdaags bezoek aan Rome.

The room was in need of updates. The floor was warped where water from the leaking shower doors had damaged the floor. There was dust buildup in the corners of the room. The breakfast was the same every day, no variation. The rooftop bar was no longer in operation, but you could go and sit on the terrace.

It provided minimal services, it was sufficient. I appreciated the fridge. It was very small, needed more place to store items in bathroom and also for clothes. The room was better for one person, not two. The breakfast was the same every day and we were there for a week!

It is a 3 star hotel, so do not expect 4 or 5 star facilities. Staff were great and helpful and attentive. Buffet breakfast very basic with limited options, but as I say, it is a 3 star hotel.

The staff was very friendly especially Marcello at the reception desk. The airco did his job by an average temperature of 40°C ! Cleaning of the room was good. Poor was breakfast everyday scrumbled eggs & sausages,cheese & salami of one kind...no variation at all in a country of salamis, mortadella's,Parma ham, etc. Only industrial breadslices to toast no other kind of bread, rolls....!

Staff, especially the gentleman on early morning shift was very helpful, very supportive and gave us good information about our travel. Toilet is not too hygienic - insects were found. I was expecting soap be in a dish and not left on its own wrapper.

1. The first attraction we noticed when booking was the roof top bar (first photo in the advert). It was closed for refurbishment. We were not told about this. 2. Building work for the hotel directly behind started at 730am every morning. 3. The building work for the roof top bar on site that was directly above our room started at 7.10am! Banging through our ceiling. 4. The overhead shower didn't work. We informed reception to be told to try again. It didn't work so we had to use the hand held one below. 5. The bed was rock hard and was so uncomfortable. I paid for this room as an upgrade so I could have comfort and space. Not extremely loud noise, early wake up calls because of building work and men shouting all morning. I asked for some refund or acknowledgment and they have taken 0 responsibility and no refund or care given.
