Hotel is undergoing a renovation, pool out of commission, dusty, will be nice once complete

Room was clean and comfortable. Gym and pool were under construction and we were not notified until after the room was booked. Right next door to the casino.

Don't stay here if you want a gym - they advertise they have one...let me tell you what they have...3pcs of cardio equipment THAT's IT! No weights or machines or mats or balls.

This is a great property! No complaints. Breakfast was delicious, lots of variety. Beds were a little too soft for our liking but pillow options were wonderful. Pool was clean and warm.

We really like the facility. It would have been a higher rating,but they are under construction so made for extra noise etc. The pool was small, but a lovely temperature.Haven't finished or evening,but am sure we will sleep well.

Property was under construction. Not noted on the Expedia ad. Gym was not available. There were 2 options on Expedia - a main floor room or a non-main floor room. I chose a non-main floor room but got a room on the 2nd floor that you could walk out of.. and only the view of a wall 10 feel away on a roof (I believe). Not sure how that is different from a first floor room. I felt deceived. Noted that the property was full. Doubtful. This hotel is next to the casino. Breakfast was over at 9:30am and the food was not great. Not an inexpensive hotel. I would not stay here again. Poor value for the money spent.

Room was great. Pool was great. Breakfast was excellent.

Staff was friendly and accommodating, but too many little issues made this stay unpleasant. (not our first visit to this location). 1. We booked here because of the pool, only to discover that it was closed due to renovation - try telling that to a 4-yr old whose heart was set on going for a swim. Staff very pleasantly shrugged shoulders and blamed the booking partners who were supposed to be responsible for letting us know - never happened. Staff directed us to a nearby splash pad where they were sending everyone - that was closed for maintenance. Double-Whammy. 2. The bathroom door did not close/lock properly - again not a huge deal, but awkward with a 4 yr old. 3. The room door would not open properly - key was recognized but needed several tries to unlatch. 4. USB ports: Only 3 were available in the room, 2 of which were dead. So, 1 port was left for us to charge 2 phones, a tablet, a watch, and hearing aids. Staff did offer to send a maintenance person around, but it was already bed time. 5. Having stayed at other Holiday Inns, was expecting a small security deposit ($50 at previous HI), but this place charges $200 for deposit which was supposed to be be refunded. 4 days later it has not be returned. We shall not be returning to this location unless some major changes made.

Our room was on second floor - not a great view (parking lot and old transport trucks).. our room was clean some hair in shower, our second day quick tidy housekeeping service lady was very nice. Hotel was super busy for tournament or something and food was in good supply for everyone. not as many options as our other holiday inn stays but still good! Pool was warm and clean. Our second night was less impressive, pool area had a garbage bag of empty alcohol cans beside pool and people drinking. Manager did come in and clear it at some point and he seemed to be just as annoyed about it. Hotel was under construction but couldn’t tell - quiet and clean. Car was broken into on the second night of stay. Hotel doesn’t have cameras in back lot so do not park there.. Front desk staff were kind, helpful and sympathetic but there was nothing they or police could do. If the pool wasn’t there i don’t think we would’ve enjoyed our stay at all.

Nice to be right by the casino. Enjoyed having a swim to relax. Enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. All the workers at the hotel where great to deal with. Like there was restaurant right next door.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The facility was very clean.

Breakfast was ok. Peeling wallpaper in bathroom, terrible view, no microwave in room, or mirror for dressing. Dirt, musty smelling.

This hotel is in desperate need of a good cleaning and update. The hallway to the room was filthy and needed to be vacuumed. The room smelled musty and damp. When I closed the curtains, there was a HUGE black spider. The lobby and breakfast area was clean. Good variety of food options during breakfast. Staff was friendly.

Carpets were very much in need of cleaning.

There was hair on the sheets (disgusting), had to sleep over the flat sheet.

Bathroom was very dirty! Shower floor covered in black marks. Shower looked liked it wasn’t cleaned in weeks. Towels had hair stuck in the them.

Bed was very comfortable. Great breakfast in the morning. Room was very clean.

Constructing everywhere, Paid over $300 to listen to drilling and hammering over are head, than again in the morning were waken up at 10am to electric saws.

Very convenient for our purposes going to Chatham, friendly, nice breakfast. Ourroom was clean and shoing age. Damage to the bathroom door and bathtub. In this day of computers and cell phones, insufficient electrical outlets.

The king bed was very comfortable

My room was in dire need of an upgrade which I believe they are working on but it was unfortunate to stay in a run-down, dusty part of the building and be woken up to work on the facade outside of my window. I’m sure it will be great once they are finished.

The property looked right down inside the room was very dated. The elevator was an absolute mess. I probably will not stay here again.

Very professional staff, pleasant and accommodating. Check-In and Departure was quick and easy. The Continental Breakfast was pretty good, everything was kept clean and in order in the eating area, albeit numerous people. Beds and pillow were super comfortable!

I made three calls asking for my invoice to be sent by email, and after being hung up by front desk on the second call, was promised that my invoice was sent on third, but an hour later - and three hours since initial promise, invoice still hasn't been received. That is a new and disappointing experience for me, a frequent global traveler.

Staff were very rude. Huge language barrier. Made it considerably frustrating to check in

The room was exceptional. The location is great. It is easy access to the 401 has restaurants near by and the casino next door. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a great selection for the complimentary breakfast. They currently have renovations going on but it was quiet and clean.

Room was great! Staff was excellent. The gentleman at the front desk was even able to recommend a few different restaurants for us to try. Will definitely stay there again when in the area.

Disappointed in staff. I was not there 10 minutes and they breached my security, by giving someone else a card to my room, and it wasn't just me. A large group of service techs were also at this location, and they gave a co-worker a key to his room, while he was using the facilities. The back door to the hotel was also not latching and locking at night, causing a security risk for everyone. I expected more for what I paid, and so should every guest. Spend some money on security, and train your staff to clear out the programming system, before moving on to the next guest.

Staff is always so friendly and helpful. They were doing some renovations but explain that when we booked. We arrived an hour earlier then our check in time ,and. They let us check in and not wait. Which we really appreciated that.

The hotel is next door to a casino. If you want that convenience, it’s perfect.

Quiet area

I had a great stay at Holiday Inn Chatham. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to everything I wanted to visit. Overall, it was a pleasant and hassle-free experience!

This is my hotel of choice when I’m visiting Chatham. I like the location; close to downtown, dining and casino attached. Also close to other surrounding communities.

This was our second stay at this property. Staff is very friendly. Free breakfast is above average. They have a specific gluten free area with a dedicated gluten free toaster, which I personally very much appreciate it.That is a very unusual and appreciated accommodation for those with celiac disease. The property is currently construction so we are excited for a stay once that is completed. Recommend this hotel for sure.

It was clean and comfortable. but they use plastic knives and paper plates for breakfast and don't even separate into recycling and waste. It would be better for the environment, i.e. for all of us, if they used real knives and forks and plates, and washed them, but if they MUST use plastic ones, then they should at least recycle. We desperately need to reduce our use of plastic.

The suite was very clean and remarkably spacious. Excellent customer service, both at front desk and from the breakfast servers. Love that there is a dedicated gluten free breakfast bar! We will stay again.
