The hotel is lovely and the staff was polite and efficient for the most part. That being said, my girlfriend and I were really bummed at check-in when we found out the 24hr advertised pool wasn’t actually 24hrs. It’s available from 9am-9pm, which is typical for most hotels. But we went with this hotel because she loves late night swims (former competitive swimmer). Had we known that really wasn’t the case, we would have just booked a home with a pool instead for labor weekend. Just a heads up for anyone else with a similar mindset. Also, a microwave in the rooms would be nice. We stayed in the elm suite.

My stay was okay, but this isn’t a true 5-star property. It’s more like a 3-4 star hotel, with no luxury amenities or special services you’d expect at a higher-end place. The rooms and public spaces show noticeable wear and could use a refresh. The hotel shares the property with a residence, so some areas are off-limits, and the pool is shared too. The pool area wasn’t well maintained, with leftover food and drinks around. On the plus side, the room was comfortable, and the TV had streaming. However, the walls are very thin, and noise from the halls kept me up, especially with a group of guests coming and going all night. The area around the hotel also wasn’t very clean, with quite a bit of trash and a large homeless presence nearby. The pool was great. The restaurants were top notch. Staff was friendly and helpful. Use of the house car was such an added treat. The only negative was that the breakfast room service started too late as well as coffee service for a downtown hotel in a big city. I would definitely stay at the Thompson again.

Great location and secure. Great gym!!!!! and pool area. Definitely can relax. Room was on the smaller size, no desk if you need to get work done. Nice bathroom. No iron board but had a handheld steamer although awkward with no hanging area near an outlet. Nice, comfortable with restaurants all nearby.

The girl at the pool bar had a bit of an attitude and the valet takes forever to bring your car but other than that a great stay everyone else was so nice and helpful and made my stay very smooth.

The Staff was so professional and friendly upon check in and departure. Extremely accommodating with late check out request, luggage storage, etc. Only minor complaints was that the area around the hot tub was littered with multiple towels on the ground and edge of hot tub (that were there one evening and remained there all the next day) and our bathroom had noticeable hair from prior occupants indicating that it hadn't been mopped / vacuumed well. Otherwise, a great experience.

Everything but the bed was great. Guarantee there were bed bugs. Woke up every day with new bites on my body/face. Didn’t even think about it til the last night what was likely happening. That part was a bummer since I liked the property and amenities.

For this to be a 5-star hotel, they fell short in some areas. The shower and bed hair random hair strands. The shower wasn't fully clean. The floors in the bathroom were also very dirty. They charge a daily hotel fee. The lobby was beautiful. Walking distance to restaurants.

Hotel is excellent. Sadly the street out front North Akard is like a drag strip for hot rod high performance cars revving engines and super noisy all hours of the night. Very noisy neighborhood. Great hotel. I slept very little over 3 night stay. Shame.

Amazing stay! Wish we were given a higher floor but the views were still good. Skyline suite was amazing, bathroom was great, bathtub against the window was top notch, bed was comfy, staff and valet were superb, in building dining options were one of the highlights of our trip. In room bar was excellent. Some well placed mirrors around the room made our time in the room more enjoyable :)

The staff and restaurant/lounge are fantastic. The rooms felt more worn than I would expect for the price and the automated heating/cooling wasn't working properly so my room was freezing all night. It would have been great to have it automatically turn on when I checked in.

The stay was awful for the price of this hotel the place just felt dirty in general. However the real issue is the general area around this hotel it is loud they provide ear plugs but they do nothing. I didn’t sleep at all and we just left as soon as we could. The area around this hotel is constant car racing street take over and the occasional gunshot.

For the price I would expect front line staff to be friendlier and more helpful. Front desk staff seemed unhappy with their job and irritated. Valet was very friendly Rooms are basic, bed comfortable This was our only experience with unfriendly people in all of Texas. We LOVED Ft. worth’s people immensely and will stay in that area next time we visit!

The girl at the pool bar had a bit of an attitude and the valet takes forever to bring your car but other than that a great stay everyone else was so nice and helpful and made my stay very smooth.

We expected much more from an expensive 5-star hotel. Instead, we got a small room with a broken coffee machine, vents blowing directly onto the bed, hidden charges everywhere, and unresponsive, indifferent staff. Really disappointed—especially coming from Hyatt.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we were met with so much respect, care and love from every member of the staff. Jade was especially helpful at the front desk, and made our stay seamless. The valet professionals were very kind and welcoming. The food was delicious, the pool was clean and nice, the room was comfortable and unique. We just had the best time! Thank you x 10000000 !! We will be back :)

This was our honeymoon hotel roght after wedding and our shower wouldnt stop dripping the tv remote didnt have batteries, we had barely any coffee with the coffee maker that couldnt work right. As newlyweds this is not something we should have worried about with the price of this place. Room service was extremely slow. Just a terrible yet expensive experience. Wont be coming back.

Hotel is excellent. Sadly the street out front North Akard is like a drag strip for hot rod high performance cars revving engines and super noisy all hours of the night. Very noisy neighborhood. Great hotel. I slept very little over 3 night stay. Shame.

We had a wonderful stay at the Thompson Dallas. The hotel is extremely beautiful and the staff are always friendly and attentive. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, looking for amazing service in a central location.

Excellent and beautiful hotel, unfortunately terrible location in the center of Dallas with too much congestion, slow valets, noise at night and too many vagrants. I do love the chain however I will continue to stay at Thompson properties.

I was very pleased with our stay at the Thompson Hotel Dallas . I love that a Beautiful Classic Dallas mid century bank building has been repurposed as a hotel in the absolute center of the city . The room was well appointed with tub in front of a wall of slightly tinted glass , and walls of windows and great sheets on the bed , This hotel is also walking distance to many things including the recently renovated AT& T,center and Clive Warren Park . The staff, especially the parking attendants ,were polite , and the room cleaning service was exceptional .

The stay was awful for the price of this hotel the place just felt dirty in general. However the real issue is the general area around this hotel it is loud they provide ear plugs but they do nothing. I didn’t sleep at all and we just left as soon as we could. The area around this hotel is constant car racing street take over and the occasional gunshot.

Amazing stay! Wish we were given a higher floor but the views were still good. Skyline suite was amazing, bathroom was great, bathtub against the window was top notch, bed was comfy, staff and valet were superb, in building dining options were one of the highlights of our trip. In room bar was excellent. Some well placed mirrors around the room made our time in the room more enjoyable :)

The pool was great. The restaurants were top notch. Staff was friendly and helpful. Use of the house car was such an added treat. The only negative was that the breakfast room service started too late as well as coffee service for a downtown hotel in a big city. I would definitely stay at the Thompson again.

Pros: The hotel is beautiful, clean, lovely, filled with art. Our bed in the deluxe corner suite was so comfy & the room was so spacious, the views were wonderful, valet was so nice & easy, staff were all so kind and two showed us areas of the hotel we normally wouldn't see. Breakfast was so good and lunch at The Nine was special and delicious. Cons: Our room wasn't ready upon check-in which thru-off my entire birthday night schedule. Our room keys didn't work after 1st use. We waited an hour & 1/2 for the room though check-in was 3 pm, got an appetizer, beverages, they were sweet about it, but by the time we got in our room I had to rush to steam my dress, rush to decorate, rush to do my hair, had no time to fix my makeup, didn't have time for pictures I wanted before dinner at The Monarch. They sat us in the middle of the room which I specifically asked not to be sat there. Didn't offer to change My food was delicious but my guests didn't like the lasagna, service was so on this 6:30 pm Thurs night. We had to ask 3 times for more bread, music was very loud and unpleasing (edm like?) I expected classy. They were all very kind, but we had 2 small children and it was hard to handle lots of waiting. Overall, we had a fun time though. No one offered me a dessert, it was my 60th! And honestly I felt we'd have to wait 30 min for one so I didn't ask. My meal was delicious, but the disappointments make me hesitate to go back for a special occasion. It's a lovely place though.

Hi, if you're looking for a true 5 start hotel this is not it. I didn't even want to take my shoes off in the room. The blinds were almost impossible to move up and down, the bathroom shower was nasty. I asked them in the am to bring me some hot water and no one showed up after 45 mins.
