Location is great - close to Kitkat and Tressor which are popular clubs in Berlin to visit. Room was adequate for October as we had no need for AC or heating. Bathroom is small but pretty clean. Unfortunately the elevator was broken for most of the time we were there so we had to carry our luggage down 6 floors (our room was on level 6) which was terrible, but otherwise good price and clean place

Für den Preis ein super Hotel. Wir hatten das Frühstück für 11 € pP noch dazu gebucht. Auch dieses war super und günstiger als beim Frühstücksbäcker um die Ecke. Die Zimmer sind recht klein, aber ausreichend für 1-2 Nächte. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Kleine Kritik: Die kostenfreie Gepäckabgabe wird nicht kontrolliert. Jeder Gast (oder nicht-Gast) kann dort hineinspazieren und sich einen Koffer schnappen. Das könnte man etwas besser kontrollieren.

Det var ett bra boende med perfekt läge för oss. Enda negativa var att när vi kom dit ca. 11.30-12.00 så var bagagerummet fullt så vi kunde inte lämna våran packning någonstans utan fick släpa med oss den. Det andra är att det var många våningar men bara en relativt liten hiss så mycket väntetid. Men det är bagateller. Skulle oavsett lätt bo här igen.

Hostel hat tolle moderne Gemeinschaftsräume im Foyer und eine Terrasse. Man kann Getränke und kleine Snacks an der Bar kaufen. Ich hatte ein Doppelzimmer gebucht, was für zwei Personen eher zu klein gewesen wäre. In dem Bad konnte man sich nicht mal umdrehen. Für mich alleine ging es ansonsten müsste man das bei der Buchung ggf. Abklären. Dafür fand ich den Preis fast etwas viel. Bett war ok. Handtücher und Seife etc. vorhanden. Anders als in den Mehrbettzimmern waren Betten auch direkt bezogen. Das muss man ansonsten nämlich selber machen. Sauberkeit war ok. Wände etwas rustikal an einigen Stellen. Ich habe aber trotzdem gut geschlafen und fand es recht ruhig Nachts. Es gibt einen Spielplatz und Spielzeug im Foyer eig super auch für Kinder. Allerdings sind überwiegend junge Leute, die auch in Umliegende Clubs feiern gehen dort. Zumindest an dem Wochenende. Es liegt sehr nah an einer UBahn Station und bis zum Hauptbahnhof sind es nur 15 min mit dem Taxi. Daher alles gut zu erreichen.

Wir reisten mit drei Kindern an. Für einen Zwischenstopp bzw. für 1-2 Nächte reicht es aus. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich. Die Küche bietet Speisen wie z.B. Pizza, Pommes, Snacks, Eis usw an. Waschmaschinen und Trockner sind auch vorhanden. Die Betten waren in Ordnung und müssen selber mit Bettwäsche bezogen werden, die zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Die U-Bahn war nur ca. 5-8 Gehminuten entfernt. Leider hat uns die Lage unseres Zimmers nicht gefallen, das im Erdgeschoss und direkt neben Ein-/Ausgang war. Die Raucher standen direkt unter/neben unserem Zimmerfenster und dementsprechend stank unser Zimmer, weil man auch die Fenster nicht richtig schließen konnte. Es hatte einen Flair von einer Jugendherberge. Wer also Ruhe haben möchte, ist das hier nicht das Richtige. Parkplätze (19€/Tag) sind vorhanden, muss aber frühzeitig reservieren. Ansonsten gibt es auch vor dem Hotel an den Strassenseiten (Mo-Sa 9-18 Uhr kostenpflichtig / Sonntags kostenlos)

Das Personal war nett. Das Zimmer war aber halb sauber. Die Seifenbehälter waren leer. Alle Türen quietschen usw. Man kann halt 1-2 Nächste schlafen. Ohne Seife kriegt man die Hände auch sauber aber mehr bietet das Hostel nicht.

The rooms needs better cleaning and maintenance. We stayed in a private family -room in building 2. Walls are thin so you can hear absolutely everything from the neighboring rooms. Check-in was super strange and a total chaos. My confirmation number from Expedia was not working on their automatic machines so I waited in line to get help from a customer representative at the reception. I wasn't the only customer having issues with the machine, it seemed to be a general issue. The staff insisted I try again with the machine with some "tips and tricks" from them which by the end worked out but my question to A&O is: if your machines are not working, isn't the staff there to do things manuals?. I felt I was dealing with a robot instead of a human. The rooms need to be cleaned more often. I found dirt and mold in the shower!! Definitely not what I had experienced in other A&O locations (Berlin Hbf and München for example). I get this is a hostel but for a family room I expected way more. Bottom line: cheap- built rooms with poor isolation from the noisy street (it's in Mitte but bordering Kreuzberg). Area around the hostel is not clean but hey! So is Berlin right?

Hade privat dubbelrum med egen toalett. Svartmögel i badrum, ostädad toalettstol med massa brun beläggning i toalettstolen. Vidrigt gemensamt kök med smuts, matrester och smutsiga tallrikar, stekpannor etc överallt. Iskallt rum trots stängda fönster, fick sova med 3 täcken. Enda bra var trevliga receptionister

Broken shower fittings, radiators turned off which made the room really cold at night! Despite pointing this out, they did not turn the radiators on! The door to the room would not close properly unless you pushed it shut yourself, which is a security risk as someone unauthorized could get in if you forget — something that can very easily happen! Incredibly poor check-in system (the worst we have ever experienced at any hotel anywhere in the world). Even though we have stayed at this hotel several times before, the check-in still takes at least 25–30 minutes. All guests in the room, even those who have also stayed here before, must manually fill in their passport details, name and address, phone number, and email every single time. The hotel staff does NOT assist with this, and the system is outdated and keeps freezing, so you end up having to go to the reception multiple times just to get help! There is always a queue at check-in, and every time you have to ask for help because the system isn’t working, new people are allowed to cut in front. It has been like this every single time and continues to be with every new stay! It is so frustrating and exhausting to deal with this nonsense, when normally (like at all other hotels) you simply walk up to the reception, give your last name, and within a minute receive your room key or card! The fact that the hotel cannot even save previous guests’ details makes this ordeal and waste of precious time an absolute nightmare!

Kleine Räume für 2 Personen. Kaum Platz für 2 offene Koffer. Teilweise zu wenig Ablagefläche. WC/Dusche für schmale Leute, ansonsten Türe offen lassen! Viele Jugendliche und daher lange laut vom Innenhof her. Fenster lassen sich knapp öffnen und es ist am Morgen trotz Verdunklungsvorhänge bald hell. Früher Strassenlärm. Der Preis ist dafür günstig.

You get what you pay for. We only needed a place to rest our heads and for this it worked well. Location is about 10 minute walk to public transport. We stayed in a private room with ensuite and 2 single beds - it was tiny with no Aircon and poor pillows but otherwise clean and comfortable.

Everything here was average, but our room was really affected by noise from other guests inside and outside.and the metal ramp outside our room where suitcases were being rolled up and down caused a terrible racket. Worse though, was the room was so cold. The tiny quilts did not help.

Photos weren’t entirely accurate for the two twin bed room - the bathroom was beyond tiny and there was hardly room for two large suitcases. Would recommend being mindful of this. Also no air conditioning and during hot days, rooms can feel muggy and stale. Also very limited availability for electric/plug-in fans (none come standard in the room)

This is a very affordable place to stay in Berlin, the rooms were nice and the staff was excellent. It is close to the subway (Heinrich-Heine strasse station) and within walking distance to Alexanderplatz. There were several school classes staying at the same time and during the morning peak the breakfast buffet could get a little bit chaotic. The neighbourhood is perhaps not the nicest, but did not feel unsafe. Overall I thought it was good value for the price we payed - and would highly recommend it.

Det är ett hostel så förväntningarna ska inte vara för höga. Dock var det en onödigt komplicerad incheckning och personalen i receptionen var väldigt ointresserad av att det skulle gå smidigt. Rummet var väl vad jag betalade för: mitt egna, men trångt och med en hård säng och med sträva lakan. Utcheckning kl 10 är i tidigaste laget. Kollektivtrafik finns ganska smidigt nära i form av bussen. Om du vill ta tåget så behöver du gå en bit till Ostbahnhof. Jag kommer inte att boka här igen, men jag kan förstå lockelsen om du har en begränsad budget.

I booked the room for one night with Orbitz in the morning and received an email to confirm that the room was paid. I just need to pay the city tax on site. However, when I arrived around 10:30pm, the woman at the reception charged me the whole price in euro when I intended only to pay the city tax. She was rude and unprofessional, refused to give my money back when I showed her the confirmation email that I already paid through Orbitz. She refused to acknowledge this and claimed that she was asked to charge guests from Orbitz. I had to argue with her. Only because I demanded the money back, she consulted her colleague, then without any explanation she threw the money back on me without even Issuing a receipt for the city tax I paid. Horrible check in experience: the lobby was full of people, very noisy: when I found the room ok, clean, but we were harassed by strange people hammering on the door until midnight. Property was okay but the staff was rude and they didn’t explain to me about the rooms I wanted they booked me for a room with several beds and told me that I couldn’t cancel it after I went to the room and saw it wasn’t what I wanted I didn’t even stay there I had to book a different hotel to stay at….they didn’t explain that it was a dorms they told me after I paid I would never recommend anyone to stay there…the staff wasn’t helpful at all

A huge property but really friendly. I arrived late at 1.30 and it was no problem. The staff were really friendly and were I slept was quiet. The location is great, about a 20 minute walk to the museums abd 10 minutes to the east side gallery.

It was very convenient to public transportation at the Ostbahnhof. The room could have been better insulated to cover some of the sounds that go along with a large youth hostel. We liked our stay and we woukd stay again.

Jag var positivt överens Överraskad första natten. Andra natten var väldigt mycket rörelse i korridoren. Det är lixom lägenhetskorridor och dörrarna smäller mycket. Frukosten var okej, alldeles tillräckligt för oss. Inga laktosfria el vegan alternativ till yoghurt. Fanns dock laktosfri mjölk.

Wir reisten mit drei Kindern an. Für einen Zwischenstopp bzw. für 1-2 Nächte reicht es aus. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich. Die Küche bietet Speisen wie z.B. Pizza, Pommes, Snacks, Eis usw an. Waschmaschinen und Trockner sind auch vorhanden. Die Betten waren in Ordnung und müssen selber mit Bettwäsche bezogen werden, die zur Verfügung gestellt werden. Die U-Bahn war nur ca. 5-8 Gehminuten entfernt. Leider hat uns die Lage unseres Zimmers nicht gefallen, das im Erdgeschoss und direkt neben Ein-/Ausgang war. Die Raucher standen direkt unter/neben unserem Zimmerfenster und dementsprechend stank unser Zimmer, weil man auch die Fenster nicht richtig schließen konnte. Es hatte einen Flair von einer Jugendherberge. Wer also Ruhe haben möchte, ist das hier nicht das Richtige. Parkplätze (19€/Tag) sind vorhanden, muss aber frühzeitig reservieren. Ansonsten gibt es auch vor dem Hotel an den Strassenseiten (Mo-Sa 9-18 Uhr kostenpflichtig / Sonntags kostenlos)

Einfaches Frühstück mit frischen Brötchen. Das Familienzimmer, was wir hatten war sehr eng. Das Bad war sehr klein. In der Nähe des Hotels gab es Bushaltestellen über die man die S und U Bahnstationen erreicht.
