Older building with good remodel except for not enough outlet and poor internet. Very noisy due to traffic flow near by. Entry door needs updated due to space and light coming in. Would have been nice to know about the hot tub. Add something for breakfast, even donuts and juice. The front desk folks were friendly and welcoming.

It's an older property that has been maintained.. the first issue was their Internet and Wi-Fi service was out for an unspecified time. The staff/ owners were friendly and upfront about the issue. The room had a refrigerator,microwave and an alarm clock. The bathroom fixtures were more than likely original. However the bed was stiff as a board, pillows were flat as pancakes. So, sleeping was a bit rough. Parking was tight, but good and the property had two ways to egress without getting onto the main road. Honestly, it was ok. It's a nice place, but not for the price point. I feel as though a reduction in rate should've been offered due to the lack of services.

this place has a good location and the room was very nice and clean. They have a very nice jacuzzi and parking was great. The only bad thing was that the ice machine was not working and they said it had been broken for about a week. They should have at least bought ice for their guests to use, but other than that the place was great.

Checkin was good. Clerk gave me a first floor roo to accommodate my bad hip. Room was ok, but the TV service was terrible. It was a streaming system, and it constantly scrolled to find the program. That made watching it impossible.

This is small and renovated hotel. There is a very large clean hot tub. They have outdoor area to sit and relax. King suite was clean and comfy. We would definitely stay here again.

Nothing is unique about this property. Highly overrated would not recommend it to anyone. Nighttime staff rude and should not be in this industry. Condescending and disrespectful to female guests in particular. Go somewhere else in addition ice machine is broken and was told to go across the street and buy our own ice.

Dirty floors, walls and yes dirty bedding. Hairs in the sheets and human secretions and what appeared to be blood on the bedspread. I was asked to carry this filth to the front desk. I refused and they sent a housekeeper. Changed the bedding out and told me they would seek a discount for me. The next AM I went to front desk and spoke with the manager or perhaps owner, elderly lady. She was very rude. Called me a liar, yelled at me. Kept insisting nothing was on the blanket. I have pictures. It is gross!!

FYI- went to go to bed and pulled the blanket back to find dirty sheets with a brown disgusting stain on both the top and bottom sheets. Had to pull sheets off the bed and sleep with just the blanket. Horrible to find disgusting sheets at 11pm and no one to contact to get clean sheets. Fire your cleaning crew!

The room was dirty. When I got into the shower dirt was in the bottom of the shower from my feet from walking in the room. The hotel was rundown and in much need of remodeling. They never gave us new towels or cleaned the room when we were there.

This property is filthy. The door doesn’t close, a filthy undersized window AC stuck in the wall for cooling. Tub was clogged with hair so it wouldn’t drain. The window overlooked a service yard pilled with filthy rotting mattresses. I’d deem the place a health hazard.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay for one night, and this fit the bill. It's not luxe, but it had a good bed, tv, fridge and microwave...everything I needed for a quick in and out of town. It's a little noisy because it's on a busy street, but it's close to the historic streets with lots of bars, restaurants and shops, so that was nice.

It was very noisy: heard lots of noise from the street outside, from voices of people outside the room, and from an adjoining room. The bed itself made a lot of noise getting in and out, and moving around lying on the bed.

Staff is super friendly. Older, run-down place. Rooms were stuffy, had some over-powering air freshener scent, and the mattress has seen better days. Sinks are too tall for the vanity, and no where to hang towels. We did not get much sleep, because the place is super noisy, being right on the main road. Traffic does not really quiet down. We skipped breakfast (not really sure if there was one), since another guest parked outside our room turned their car engine on at 6:20am, and woke us. Their truck still idling when we left at 7:15am. With costs of everything increasing, this place for $115/night was over-priced.

We arrived, checked in and the office closed at 9:30PM. My girlfriend went out front on our room to smoke about 1130 pm and i joined her. When we went back our room key did not work. We called the number for after hours service.A grumpy man answered," yeah I live about 30 minutes away, see you in about 30." It was snowing and 20 degrees. He showed up about 45 minutes later and was so rude and pissed at me that my key didnt work. The only thing he offered was to check me out right then at 1230AM and put us on the streets. Then he told me i have a bad attitude. Not very comforting or hospitable. We noticed lots of remodeling going on while waiting in the snow and cold.The next morning we awoke to pounding nails and sawing at 730AM. This continued all morning so although the room was ok, we didnt get back to sleep. Just not a very hospitable place. Acted like it was my fault for all the problems

The hotel was advertised as "pet friendly" but did not note a pet fee or extra charges of any kind for pets. When I arrived I was told they required a $30 CASH deposit, refundable on departure day after inspection showing NO pet damage. I told dthe desk agent that I was not happy with this since it wasn't noted online and I didn't carry cash. I had to go to an ATM and get cash. The next morning when I was ready for the inspection, I notified the desk agent and she slammed me with rude language telling me it was a NONREFUNDABLE FEE. When Ii told her about my experience the night before with the desk clerk, she told me that was not their policy and told me to leave. If there is sa pet fee, it should be clearly disclosed along with other parameters like "CASH required upon checkin" I am not objecting to a pet fee, but I'm strongly upset about the manner it was handled--first lack of website disclosure, then lying that it was a refundalbe deposit, then acting rudely when I asked for the deposit refund relatibe to NO pet damage. What a disturbing and dishonest experience. I would never recommend this establishment.

The front desk was not the most welcoming when I arrived. In fact, she was kind of disturbed that I arrived at 2:30 pm and check-in was not until 3:00pm, which she proceeded to tell me 3 times as I was there. The rooms were average. I would not stay there again. The laundry room was ok. The equipment worked fine. The hot tub/pool was nice but it was out front right as you pull in. No privacy. It is a dog friendly motel, but they need to keep the grounds clean.

James checked me in and put a smile on my face just by being friendly. The room is great and parking is convenient. The AC works, it just needed an hour to get cranking. There's a cool stream nearby. The area is walkable; James recommended Fridas, an excellent Mexican restaurant about 3-4 blocks up the road. Great margaritas and tacos and excellent salsa, an easy walk. The trolley that moves people around town has a stop right here. The wifi is a little slow - but you're in Durango, go outside!

The hotel is a decent place, and a fine place to stay inexpensively for a few nights, and on top of that is a five minute walk (or less) from the nearby the fabulous Animas river walking trail, which you can walk right into town.

I’ve stayed before and enjoyed .. this time the rooms heating didn’t work we were provided with a small noisy heater it did the job with questionable safety. No longer offering breakfast (another convenient covid excuse to reduce services) But here is the problem… woken to yelling, screaming, fighting the police showed they were not going to arrest the ass creating issues as the commotion continues for 1.5 hours .. car alarms going off all over the parking lot .. YET No management on the premise.. I called the police to find out what was going on as we were asked but to exit our room .. was told that hotel management was aware but they never showed up .. the police left and of course once-an-ass-always-an-ass the yelling screaming started again. It was simply MISERABLE. Next morning the manager on duty stared at us stupidly saying there is an emergency number on the outside of the office door (as if I’m charging past police protection to try and find it) Since the police stated that the management was INFORMED and chose to do nothing. I realized that this is NOT a safe place for us or any others any longer.

Beds were very comfortable & room was modern & clean. Biggest complaint is that the coffee maker in room was broken (discovered at 5AM when preparing to leave for the day) & no coffee available in lobby (locked until 7AM). Otherwise it was a good stay.
