Older hotel right on the beach. Comfortable and clean. J-Mikes restaurant 2 doors down. Fairly large pool with seating and tables. Lobby open 8am to 8pm. Friendly staff.

Was right on the beach, had it's own beach access, swimming pool, friendly and helpful staff!

This is our third stay here . One of the main reasons is they are one of the few places left that are pet friendly for a reasonable fee. The cleaning staff does an excellent job ! Easy access to the beach as it is an older property and not a high rise that I have to carry all my beach stuff out with dogs in tow, down the elevator.. Few steps out the door and your on the beach . The place is older but pretty well maintained . It’s usually quiet when we go , mainly the dogs making a ruckus from time to time but they always quiten down . Great location . I don’t like having to go to the office to request ice , annoying so you may wanna pick up a bag on the way in. Wal Mart grocery right around the corner and McDonald’s within walking distance as well as a couple other restaurants. We will return in the fall hopefully!

Staff was accommodating for an early check in. Was right on the beach with an ocean view! Dogs were allowed. A one night stay to the end of our spring break trips. Pool was sparkling.

Great time at the Vancouver Motel! They allow smoking on patio and made my friends happy. Older motel but well kept. Clean and pool was awesome. Downfall no elevator. But only 3 stories.

What a wonderful little vintage gem on the Strand. Does it need updating.. Yes. Was it clean...absolutely. Pool was sparkling clean Owner is on site all day. Eager to please. We had a few saw inconveniences but they were addressed immediately. A great place to stay if you do not want all the frills of the larger hotels.

Best budget motel in Myrtle Beach. Owner is on sight daily and everything is keep.clean. Propane grill is always ready.

I stayed here 33 years ago and was so happy that the Vancouver hadnt been replaced with another high rise or gone over to the sketchy side like so many other small motels I used to stay in. Yes, it is old and it shows in places. You won't find the newest furnishings here. If these things bother you, don't stay here. What you will find is a clean and comfortable room that is steps from the ocean, a clean pool, and your vehicle. Check in took all of 5 minutes and our room was exactly as pictured, clean, and well stocked with towels. It is a pet friendly motel but there wasnt any evidence of that in our room. The beds werent the latest, but they had snow white sheets and fluffy pillows and we had no trouble sleeping in them. Good clean cold refrigerator and AC unit that had no trouble keeping the room cool in the heat wave we had that week. We come for the beach and this is the perfect place to enjoy it without waiting on an elevator or going through a lobby to get there. Convenient shower to rinse off. Staff was friendly and never far away. The atmosphere felt safe and was so relaxed, and we met some very nice people staying there. It was easy to get in and out to go places and we had plenty of dining options less than 10 minutes away. We extended our stay there and have already booked a room for next month. Safe to say that this will be our go-to for Myrtle Beach!😀

The food choices around the hotel was amazing and affordable. The hotel has a pool and has a view of the ocean which is walking distance. Parking was convenient and free! The rooms were tidy, neat and the air condition was on point. Everything was great I would stay here again. Me and my husband had a great 3 day stay!

Nice hotel and easy access to the ocean!! Pool is a very nice size as well!!

The room did not look anything like it showed online. There were live bugs (roaches) in the tub. Loud noise throughout the night. We did not feel safe at all! $160 a night was way over priced. I could see maybe $60. I do not feel i got what i paid for at all.

Our stay at the Vancouver was perfect! It’s a great little motel right on the beach. The rooms were clean, the motel was quiet, and the staff was AMAZING. We are planning to stay here again on our next visit to Myrtle Beach.

Worst place I've ever stayed in. We packed up and left to come home at 2am. The person staying above us was loud and yelling nonstop. There was no one in the office after 6pm. The room we stayed in needs to be painted. The ceiling was peeling and black mold was visible. There was also mold in bathroom and baby cockroaches.

the ideal place for those seeking sun, sand, and everlasting memories,Located 1 minute walk from the beach. We chose the Vancouver Motel as a wonderful location on the beach with ocean view room.The room was huge and clean,the bed was very comfy.Room includes small kitchen with oven ,fridge and coffee maker ,no cups.Pool was clean.Every employee we met was super nice. The bathroom was clogged but the maintenance came immediately and fixed it.Would definitely go back with family and friends!

We arrived later in the day, so the office was closed. We got our room key from the key box and went to our room. The room smelled like urine and everything was just dirty and gross. The ceiling in the bathroom had two holes. I’ve never walked into a hotel room so dirty, even my 7 year old didn’t want to sit on the bed. We stood in the room for about 10 minutes debating on what to do, since we had drove over 7 hours there. We ended up leaving after 10-15 minutes and drove an hour away to stay with family instead. It was just awful.

This is my 2nd time staying at Vancouver. Rooms are very clean and office staff was very nice. It's on quite end of the blvd, so that was a plus. Was too cold to get in the pool, but the water was crystal clear!

They called ahead of time to see when we would arrive; we gave a time frame and arrived at the end of it which was after the check-in time. We were told we would have to wait because the room wasn't ready. We dropped our stuff in the room and went to the beach. When we got back we realized there was dog hair everywhere, the floors felt slimy, mold around the room and in the air conditioner, there was stuff from other people under the bed including a leaking water bottle, dog treats, food. We got the room specifically for the kitchen and only 1 burner worked on very low and another burner shocked my husband when he tried to use it. The tub wouldn't drain properly even after they "fixed it". The sheets on one of the beds were dirty. We asked for a mop to clean and they said they didn't have one. The biggest thing for us even after all of that was there were roaches. Not just palmetto bugs that are common around water but small cockroaches. We complained and they said they didn't have roaches and offered us a different room 2 days later. By that point we had cleaned what we needed to and if 1 room has roaches they are in others. Management came in our room and sprayed but we continued to see roaches the entire time. Babies and adults even during the day. If I would've had the means to leave I wouldn't have even stayed 1 night. The people were nice but it wasn't enough for those conditions. The ONLY good thing I can say is the location and pool were nice.

I checked in on Thursday May 22nd and woke up on Friday the 23rd to Bed Bugs. This hotel in Run Down and not clean. Please spend the extra money and find a decent hotel, going cheap is not worth it!!

Bed was ok. AC was awesomely cold! Now the bad part, internet really sucks! Motel is old and could use some upgrades but it’s still workable. Had a great time with my bestie! We will be back! Just next time we wanna go upstairs so we can see the ocean better.

This is an older motel that needs some work, but the location is great. My room had a balcony which had a view of the ocean, which was very nice. Everything was in working order. The sink in the bathroom was clogged and had a nasty odor coming out of it. Everything other than that was clean. The bed was not the most comfortable, but not the worst one I’ve ever experienced. The front desk/manager, Michelle, was extremely helpful and nice!

It's a budget motel that is very pet friendly! Which is the main reason we chose Vancouver Motel. The room was very much dated. Some things didn't work (we couldn't get the Tv to work, but we don't watch much tv anyway, low shower water pressure, hot water took forever to come through), there were rust stains on the interior door, etc. A good paint job and some sprucing up is needed. Mostly though, we enjoyed our stay. It's a very laid-back atmosphere. Check-in was straight forward and easy. The lady who checked us in was so nice and pleasant. We definitely will consider coming back at some point. I will request a second or third floor room next time.

Room was clean.. a little outdated. Took five min for water in shower to get hot and air conditioner didn't work all the time. But for price and location I was overall happy..

The AC barely worked so we had to buy a box fan. The sink didn’t drain at all and that was nasty! The shower head was tilted and sprayed all over the floor - there was no way to adjust it. The beds weren’t comfortable. WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE IT WAS AWFUL

Would of been nice to have coffee when you stay for a week. No housekeeping on site except weekends I believe. You can only get ice dieing office hours. Phones do not work. Shower was not great and beds and pillows need to be redone to say the least. Beds very firm to the point of uncomfortable and pillows very old. Decent place to stay if in a pinch. Rooms need to be deep cleaned . Staff was great. Probably would not be my first choice of places to stay again but the price for the week was ok. We left early for family emergency but connected cutting our trip short regardless due to uncomfortable beds

The room was on the small side and dated. Really needs a refresh. Oceanfront so I guess that makes up for it.

Everyone was so nice and it was clean but it was VERY hot. The one unit in the room either wasn’t working properly or it wasn’t enough. We had to purchase fans and it was miserable.

Great stay only problem was the their internet doesnt connect to their tv

Flood lights from pool shining into room all night . 1:30am the sound of someone kicking in a door over and over . Toilet ran all night , super flat pillows just an unpleasant stay all around

Checking in was really easy as we did arrive early. Although its an older property it is very well maintained. Pool was wonder and properly maintained and nice lounge chairs. Well kept room nice view from the balcony. Only 60 seconds from the ocean out the back door. Very comfortable bed and the water pressure was strong enough to power hydraulics. Air conditioning was very efficient yet quiet. Mr. Patel and his staff were very attentive. No problem with anything. No ice machine but always given plenty at the front desk. The aquarium on the check in lobby is so cool. Spent 6 nights wish we could have stayed longer. Being a runner great area to run really safe neighborhood.

The property is an older one, but for the price you can't expect a big resort. There was an issue with the door lock when I first arrived, as you are given an actual key. But, I was promptly moved to another room with a better view. I saw them replacing the knob on that particular room while I was there. There WERE some bugs in the room, not bedbugs. There's a full kitchenette, with some dishes included and a full refrigerator. The view from the balcony and the location to the ocean was what I chose to focus on the most. Also, being a smoker (I know, it's a dirty habit), they let you smoke OUTSIDE your room. You don't have to walk away from it to a designated area. No smoking inside, which I completely understand. I didn't have a pet with me, but it is definitely pet friendly. The staff that I encountered was excellent! The gentleman, Raj (not sure if that is correct spelling), and the lady that first checked me in were both super nice. He asked me each morning when I went for ice if everything was okay and if I needed anything!

The staff was excellent. I had a beautiful view of the beach from my room. Hotel is definitely older and it shows. No elevator and I was on the third floor so had to make several trips up and down the stairs to get everything I needed to my room. One incident of someone trying to get into my room but I’m pretty sure they were confused and was trying to get into their room by mistake. Was quite with no loud music.

The room was pretty good and fairly clean. Liked the fact that it had a small cooking range and a refrigerator. The best part was the ocean view. Nothing could beat that.

Super cute affordable motel. Staff is very nice. Its an older motel but I like that, it was nice and clean and right on the beach. Our room was right by the pool enterance so we could hear the gate closing shut if people let it slam and our last neighbors had louder dogs but that would be my only complaints. We would stay again.

It wasn't the fanciest or the biggest but for the money and a place that pets are allowed it was a win. It's and older place but it was clean and well maintained. It didn't have a hot tub which we usually look for but it did have a nice pool. It was right on the beach and we got a ocean view room and you can't go wrong with that.

What I liked the most is that this motel is the location. It is located on the beach. The beach is beautiful. The staff was very friendly, plenty of parking spaces

Front desk & housekeeping not too friendly. Sand on the floor in the room, phone didnt work to call front desk, curtains were broken & hanging off, shower curtain was ripped, didnt close right, took forever for burner to light on stove and felt springs went we sat on the beds. I guess you get what u pay for, our mistake. The pool was nice & the motel is close to the beach.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. They provided recommendations for dining out. They allowed us to leave our car in the parking area after checkout time so we could stay on the beach longer. The motel was convenient to restaurants and Walmart, etc. Only problem was the TV. It is internet based and never worked properly during our stay. Otherwise we had a beautiful time.
