Riptide Oceanfront Hotel

Great spot! Walking distance to so many restaurants and bars. And literally right on the beach. The only downside was that the tiki bar kitchen was closed. They said it was being renovated. But that was OK because there were so many other options in walking distance.

The over all experiences were good The staff was helpful They also give beach chairs and property location view etc is awesome Few things I highly recommend Should have a room service like food etc delivered to room since they have good restaurant Reception intercom No breakfast facility should start one Do also keep in mind Swimming pool is not there

Our view from our ocean front room was fabulous. The room was adequate and offered a full size refrigerator, a 2-burner cooktop and a small microwave. The hotel charges a $15 per day parking fee which is a deal for the location. It also charges a $15 per day amenities fee which we felt a little high since there is no pool and the only other thing we considered an amenity was the Wi-fi. They do have a tiki bar that sells beer, wine and some food that hosts a singer from noon to around 8. All-in-all the hotel is a good value for the money. My only “selfish” suggestion would be to provide morning coffee for guests to purchase or include a cup in the amenities charge.

Loved the location right on the boardwalk and ocean! The tiki bar was fantastic and they music was amazing. The bartender Brook was so fast and friendly along with the server and bar back. Parking is rough but the front desk lady was great and made sure we got a spot. We also left behind a pair of tennis shoes and she contacted us and had them mail right out. Excellent service. The rooms are a little dated but good enough. The only thing missing was a pool!

It’s like waking up to a picture perfect frame. 180 view of the beach and the Board Walk.The shower water temperature is perfect, pressure is deficient. There is a kitchen and room 24 easily fits 5. The booking promised a bottle of wine but we did not get one. Air conditioner is only a window unit. So it gets very warm during the day, and “comfortable” during the night. Linens and towels are are very clean. I would stay there again… for the view.

If you want bar loud bar right outside your room this is the place. Location was amazing but very loud.

We were there during a hurricane. The location is awesome...right off the beautiful boardwalk and beach. The facility is dated due to its age, but the beds were comfortable and there was a small kitchenette. Good parking, but cost $18/day.

Its a beach access hotel. Nothing fancy Loved the tiki bar and bands in the court yard. Didn’t like the daily resort charge per person $60 for 2 days and wish there was a pool or jacuzzi. For the cost I will look elsewhere before booking same place.

Overall, this hotel is very cute and in a great location. The TV in the room didn't work but by the time we figured it out it was late at night. The beds are hard, as are the pillows. Could use some updating there. The tiki bar while convenient, did not have a hard liquor license so it is beer and wine only. They made me a cranberry "vodka" wtih wine. Not very fabulous. The staff was super friendly which always makes up for most negatives for me. The view was gorgeous! We enjoyed sitting on the patio area and taking in the scenery.

We had a great stay. Rooms are outdated but clean. PERFECT location. The staff was excellent. We will be back

This motel is in a great location and has a tiki bar that faces the ocean. Those are the high points. The room was average at best, large enough with a small kitchenette. The bathroom was tiny, and clean but not spotless. The door to the room had a large crack at the bottom where it did not tightly shut even when the door was locked. There were several windows, two of which faced the ocean, but they opened onto the narrow walkway (which is called a balcony) so we did not really leave the curtains open as our neighbors were walking by regularly. If you reserve a balcony room, just be aware that it is not a private balcony. The tiki bar has only wine, wine based mixed drinks, and beer, but the service and the food were good. We stayed here for one night before a cruise and were scheduled to spend the night there after the cruise, but I canceled the second night and stayed elsewhere. Although it wasn’t terrible, I wouldn’t choose this property again.

The only plus was being on the Broadwalk! Checked in late, front desk help was very nice, waited for me to arrive. The room #10 was not ready for me. The sheets were not changed from previous guest! The shower

This property is in a perfect location, right on the broadwalk and beach. Dining and shopping within a reasonable walking distance and the view from our room 28 was amazing. The hotel however was very run down and dirty. I don’t believe they wash comforters and sheets between stays. On one bed looked like a spot of blood the size of a quarter, everything was insanely dusty, hot water in the bathroom sink did not work at all, like the nozzle turned wouldn’t even spit out any water. Floors left bottoms of our feet black and there were some type of tiny bugs crawling all over in the kitchen counters. Hotel says family friendly but really is no different from any other hotel. Nothing aimed towards children to do, besides the obvious beach. Had to tote the car seat and stroller up and down steps because there is no other way up. Would have LOVED to have a private balcony for when my toddler napped to sit out in the beautiful weather instead of having to sit inside the room (but that was my fault for not ensuring the hotel had a private balcony). Cannot comment on the tiki bar and food because i couldn’t for the life of me get a bartender to take my order for a couple beers, food and some ice so left and walked the broadwalk instead. Hotel staff however, was friendly but personally I would not book again.

Bartenders & baristas were great. Bed sheets in room clearly had not been changed upon arrival, there were cigarette burns and black streaks on them. Public bathroom for guests has maybe never been cleaned.

Bed Sheets in our room and our friend's room next door were filthy. Our friend's went and bought sheets for the bed. Absolutely no hot water in our room. #15 Sand on the sofa bed. sand all over the floor.

The motel property is beach front and beach view is beautiful, easy access to the beach Great beach vibe. Staff very friendly and nice Room was clean

Do not stay here if you mind music playing in the tiki bar starting at 11am until 9pm. It sounds like it is in your room.

Loved this place! Live music, view and breeze from our balcony and right on the beach. Rooms and bathroom are a little small, but we did not spend much time there.

location is great, right on the broadwalk. The room was huge, clean and light. The tiki bar was nice but only offers “wine-based liquor”, cocktails were $14 and the liquor was not detectable. Staff was all very pleasant. Downside was the refrigerator froze all our food and drinks solid. Also the room was warm depite fan and a/c, didn’t really seem to do the job. Location was the key though!

Quick family stay after a Transatlantic cruise. Stayed for 3 nights. Our room was perfect for our needs. Bigger and better then expected. Excellent views and great location. Only negative was the beds were horrible. The tiki bar was great. The musician's that played every day were amazing. Such an entertaining and great place to stay

The location was excellent and the view from the room was just what we wanted, oceanfront. Unfortunately the weather in the low 40s made the room temp uncomfortable with no heater. We showered early but had NO running water after 8 am, sink- shower-toilet. Nothing from 8 am until checkout

Excellent location on the BroadWalk. The rooms are nice and roomy ~ we had an ocean front room and the view was absolutely stunning. The sheets were a bit thin and pilling and the door was incredibly hard to open and close (the bolt was sticky and we had to get maintenance to use some W-D40 to unstick it.

I liked the property location, housekeeping was excellent and very friendly. Checked out early as I requested a rollaway 4 times and never received it.

Beach and broadwalk are right outside. Staff was great just didnt have someone in lobby later in afternoon and early morning. Would stay again.

Our room is fronting the ocean where you can feel the breeze just sitting outside your room. The desk staff is not accommodating, not helpful and not friendly at all. They should be the 1st as frontliner to make your stay comfy anf fun. I dont know if this lady Annavelle owns the place or a relative of the owner. The waitress at the bar is more serviceable as well as the cleaning crew. Both teams are hardworking.

I have been coming to the Riptide for 5 years. I love this place. From Annabella (receptionist?) at the front desk who always has a smile to all of the workers at the hotel who make you feel at "home". The rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant has alot to offer. I love their nachos!! The music makes your evening a little more enjoyable as you watch the beautful ocean right there!!!!

Staff was wonderful. Front desk clerk was SO friendly. The staff must helpful. I accidentally dropped a bottle of wine unloading, and they insisted on taking care of it. My room surrounded the tiki bar, and the environment was beachy with great music. Right on the beach. Appreciated their eco friendly turtle stickers on windows to encourage you to close curtains to help the turtle nesting.

Everything was safe clean and great service

We come to Hollywood often. This was first time booking/staying at Riptide. Communication was excellent. My VIP status got us an upgraded room with an ocean view and a bottle of wine! Air conditioned room was large with a kitchenette. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is a bit dated but was clean. Ali at the front desk was so nice and accommodating. We got there at noon; our room was not ready. She held our luggage for us so we could walk the area and get some lunch. Our room was ready 1.5 hours later and earlier than check- in time. The hotel is right on the beach/broadwalk and convenient to everything. The tiki bar (their signature bar) located on premises was crowded and is obviously a hot spot in the area with live entertainment. Some reviews mentioned hotel bar was noisy; that was not our experience. Although we vaguely heard some music, etc, we had no trouble sleeping. There is coffee in the small lobby until noon. Ali gave us each a beach chair to use for the day. Overall, it was a nice stay and we would definitely stay here again. Don’t hesitate to book this hotel!

This was the perfect place to stay! The beach was just steps out of the room. And our room was beachfront with large windows for a beautiful view! The front desk manager was awesome! I can’t think of anything that wasn’t available. The AC could have been a bit more efficient but that’s the only negative! Will definitely come back sometime!

Fantastic location right on the boardwalk, steps away from the beach. Older building with no thrills older style room. Live music every day at the outdoor bar on the property but the noise stops early. Great vibe. Jose cleaning service was not great but good enough.

Great location! Had plenty of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Easy access to the beach.

Loved this property! Perfect location, right on the Hollywood Broadwalk and a step to the beach. Will definitely be staying here again!

Did not like our waitress the first day she was very rude, also ordered burgers medium they came more than well it was probably because she had an attitude so we never ate there again

The room was great! Amazing view and good size. Had a little kitchen with a coffee pot and toaster. There were also dishes and silverware that was nice. The service was good from the hotel staff. The restaurant and bar were another story. The daiquiri was gross and the kitchen forgot to put turkey on my turkey club. The food wasn’t that great. The waitress and bartender seemed to ignore you for a while before serving you. The hotel was great but I wouldn’t go back to the bar/restaurant.

Not a fancy updated hotel, but it was perfect for us! Right on the beach, food service, tiki bar, live music daily, staff was great! We will definitely be back!

What an ADORABLE beachfront property! I can't really call it a hotel, it's more of a motel -- IT AIN'T THE RITZ CARLTON, HAHAHA! The rooms are modest! Bathroom is tiny, however I was able to lay out my makeup on the table near the kitchenette. The tiki bar has a very good (limited) menu and WOW, it's a hot spot. Lots of peeps come to eat and drink and take in the ocean view. (Only beer & wine, no liquor.) I highly recommend it for a low key getaway.

We were disappointed in the severe cuts to the menu at the restaurant. We invited family to join us for dinner expecting to have the same larger number of options as in the past. Otherwise, you can’t beat the location of being right on the beach. Live music and a very good staff.

Myself and 3 friends had a great during our 2night stay. The food was good and they didn’t prohibit drinks that we brought to the outside restaurant. This is my 3rd trip and the first 2 trips accepted a credit card for meals and drinks. This visit they only accepted cash. It would have been nice to know this ahead of time. Other than that everything was perfect.
