Pool was down and had been. Wales false advertising to not let it be known beforehand. Room was filthy! Food and beer cans in the garage and the floor not vacuumed! Just guessing the bed sheets weren’t changed either! Gross this time!

Hotel pool area was not opening or functioning at all. The lady who checked us in indicated it was likely going to be closed for the entire winter. IF you are booking and paying more for this hotel to plan on using the pool I highly recommend calling ahead to see if it is working or not. Apparently this is how alot of hotels operate in Williston - they have pools or hottubs but do not have them functioning. Also the breakfast area was dirty and out of supplies and no one was around to clean or refill anything.

Overall I will not be coming here again. I wanted to have a family trip and got there and found out the pool was t working and wasn’t working for a while but nobody told me and site doesn’t mention anything. Breakfast had only one item sitting out so my kids didn’t eat. The staff was not eager to help and when I asked about issues they didn’t seem to care

Worst experience, lobby was not clean, washroom has a foul smell, pool was not working, breakfast time was 6.30 to 9.30 am, when reach for breakfast at 8.30 there was nothing left, when asked for breakfast they take out froze beagle and give it to me, rude staff, please stay away from this place

Outside had trash everywhere. The bed seemed cleaned but that was the only thing. Old pizza stuck to the wall by the trash can, mini fridge dirty and frozen over. Was told we had to wait for clean towels and linens. "They were running low" Every morning the breakfast was picked over and no-one around to restock or clean. The coffee was out!!! Was told it would be one price for a pet was charged a different amount.

My husband needed to travel to Williston for a quick work situation. The regular hotels he stays at were fully booked. We had stayed at Microtel in the past, so he gave it a try. What a disaster. The room had candy wrappers and other things on the floor and had NOT been cleaned. He called to tell me and I called the front desk. There was a nice gentleman that said that they had some employee issues and would get it cleaned the next day. Nope. Didn't happen. Nor the next day. My husband said politely "Knock Microtel off our list of ANYWHERE I would ever stay again."

One staff member ignored me at first as she was in the back room of the front counter. Then i saw another one with her, and she ignored me for a few seconds but then realized i was a customer waiting at the front desk. The front area wasn't clean, the elevator was dirty and stunk of oil. The room was very smelly of some kind of chemicals and oil as well. We had booked for 2 nights but after all this we didn't want to stay any longer than we had to. Was not a pleasant experience and will never be returning to this hotel.

Our room had not been vacuum dirt was around on the carpet. Sheets on one of our bed were stained but smelled clean. The window sit pillar was stained. I think maybe more housekeepers need to be on staff to make sure enough time is spent on cleaning the rooms once the oil workers are checked out of the room.

Checked in and had to be moved three times to a decent room 1st room had body fluids on the bed, sink was broken and bathroom vent was hanging from ceiling. 2nd room had broken AC, broken vent in bathroom and broken phone 3rd room was clean but paint on the carpet and vent was partially hanging from ceiling in bathroom.

I have stayed here every year for the last six years for a week in October/November. Each year the quality has declined. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in this year and saw new tvs. However, they are all internet based and not cable, so you have to sign in with a service unless you are happy with Rifleman reruns and such. It has been at least 40 years since I stayed at a hotel where you couldn’t flip on the tv and see ESPN. We couldn’t watch baseball playoffs or NFL games in the room or in the lobby. And the wifi is, and always has been, free and not worth it. Utterly useless. I’m done. I’m not to hard to please, and rarely post reviews for anything. I’m not going back.

A good stay, but the TV needed attention to even have a signal... they had to come from the desk, poke around behind the TV to get a signal. As soon as you turned if off and back on... same process. . WIFI access did not connect.

Rooms need to be remodeled, they are very small. Breakfast really is more of an after thought nothing special at all. Cookie tray in the lobby with nothing but crumbs on it, remained there our entire stay, 5 nights. Walls are extremely thin, u will hear EVERYTHING going on in your neighbor's room. Would not recommend staying at this hotel.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a very disappointing experience. I booked through Expedia and checked into room 314 at approx 6:00 PM. The room door lock was malfunctioning, so I reported it to the front desk. The employee misunderstood and gave us new key cards, but I clarified it was the deadbolt that was faulty. He insisted on checking the lock first but attended to other guests, delaying our issue. When I asked if we could move rooms before he checked the lock, he rudely interrupted me, pointed his finger, and repeatedly told me to wait. After finally checking the lock, he demanded I say "please" before giving us new room keys, which I found unprofessional. This experience was very different from the excellent service I received at the Microtel in Nanaimo. I hope management addresses this behavior. Until then, I cannot recommend staying here.

If the guy at the front desk didnt wait to call me at midnight to come add a card to my room, which i had already done at check in, i wouldn't have been so mad. But the fact of when i went down the next morning to add the card and he took 15 minutes just to tell me that the card on file was just fine, then i kinda lost my mind. Not a great place if you want rest.

This hotel is in town. Close to restaurants ans shopping. A little noisy with semi parked outside our window. Exhaust fan in bathroom very loud. The minifrige in the roo. Also loud. Sounded like a white noice machine all night.

This property is in a good location and that is about the only positive thing. The breakfast area was a constant mess. Both times we tried to eat breakfast 45 min before it was over the food co gainers were empty and the place was disgusting. Even after returning hours later it still had not been cleaned up. The carpet and wall on the third floor had something resembling pizza sauce from the time we checked in to the time we checked out three days later.

We have stayed at this property in the past and had no problems. This time was far different. We booked because our grandson wanted a pool - the pool was closed. The TV was beautiful, but we could not find any local channels - only apps, which we do not use. This was not on website. Breakfast - there was syrup, but no pancakes or waffles to put the syrup on. There was no bread for toast. The best thing about this property was the ever-full coffee vending machine. Finally, I had booked 3 nights, but a family emergency caused us to leave after one night. I had to leave a 24 hour cancellation notice. The person at the desk assured me I would not be charged for the 3rd night, but only for the 1st night and the 2nd night (because of the 24 hour cancellation notice). Nevertheless, it appears I was charged for the 3rd night as well. We will likely not stay at this hotel in the future.

I had a great room, it was clean, and the staff was nice. I slept great, and the bed was really comfy. Only thing I fidnt care for was the breakfast.. the food had zero taste.. the eggs, and bacon.. it was like eating when I had covid except i can taste! Everything else was great!

We stayed in an accessible room, it was spacious for us considering we were not in any wheelchair. We booked this room because it was available. The bathroom was huge with a flat shower floor, no bathtub. The continental breakfast was basic, we saw biscuits and gravy which we didn't eat. We decided to checkout and have breakfast elsewhere.
