Outdoor onsen is a must-visit. Bathhouse features Sulphur bath, iron bath and sauna. It worths to stay in a suite, huge quiet room facing the mountain with spacious bathroom and wood bath tub. Dinner buffet features wagyu, crabs, shasimi and melon. Breakfast buffet features kaisendon, onsen eggs. Finally, staff are super friendly, always greet and even helped us to move our luggage up the enterance slope. It's a nice relaxing experience.

버스정류장에서 매우 가깝고, 곰사육장, 지옥계곡 등등 도보로 이동할 수 있는 좋은 위치입니다. 방도 청결하고 직원분들도 친절합니다. 특히 뷔페식 조식 훌륭한 편이고, 옵션이지만 뷔페식 저녁식사도 매우 좋습니다. 저희는 이틀 연속 조식 석식 신청했지만 석식은 한 번 정도로도 좋을 듯 합니다. ( 하루 정도는 근처 식당에서 새로운 맛을 경험하는 것도 좋겠습니다. )

The Japanese style room did feel old and not particularly clean, the bathroom smelled bad. Sulfur smell in the room was too strong from the hot springs. No one was very friendly and I just felt out of place staying here as an American. Buffet was just weird, not very good, and extremely overpriced. Onsen was an experience though.

Less than 10 min taxi ride from the JR station. Easy check in and out. Room is Japanese style but clean and has a beautiful view of the mountain. Onsen is large and the outdoor ones are nice. We didn’t do the dinner but signed up for the buffet breakfast. There are several restaurants a short walk away. Went with the front desk recommendation and it was great. The hell valley park is about 10-15 min walk uphilll. There is a free shuttle that go around the onset street and the park. Took off one star only because there was absolutely no communication from the hotel before arrival. I emailed 3 times before I left for the trip to confirm the reservation and received no reply. I had to ask the staff from my first hotel to call to confirm. Even that it took a day because the hotel phone line was closed after certain hours. Every other hotels I booked on my 2 weeks trip by Expedia either confirm my reservation when I emailed or reached out to me themselves way before my arrival.

We had the Japanese style room. It’s a great cultural experience. The setting is not for everyone, since almost everything is on the floor. But we enjoyed it and having a lot of fun taking pictures. It’s a 5 minutes walk from the Hell Valley and the shopping street. Some of the great trails to walk around the lakes and to the foot bath stream. Lots of options for breakfast buffet.

Great place to stay! Easy access to different must-go places. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Except for the breakfast buffet which end at 9:30. When it says 9:30, it means that everyone needs to leave at that time. We were obviously not aware of that and kept working on what’s left in our plates when one man seemed like a manager came with a raised voice saying “Out, out!” Guess that’s the culture difference.

The hotel is at the beginning of the town. It is across from the bus terminal to get to the station or Date Jidaimura. It's actually a 5 min walk to a 7-11 but can't tell from there. The workers will always willing to help with calling cabs. Compassionate when I had my 10 yr old daughter and they let me add her to my reservation for around 5000 yen with my 12 yr old son and did NOT charge us 17000 yen like a nearby hotel did. Enjoyed the onsen. Iron, salt, sulfur, etc baths. I love the outside one.

Nice and big hotel that is great for tourists. Very walkable to Hell Valley yet far enough to not smell the sulfur. We had our own private onsen tub in the room, and the public one was nice as well. Amazing breakfast buffet selection, I highly recommend to include that in your booking.

15年以上ぶりにお世話になりました。以前は一人で、今回は高校生になる息子と２人旅。夕食のビュッフェにアルコール飲み放題が無いのは残念でしたが、ビュッフェが充実していて、飲んでる暇など有りません（笑）定番のイクラかけ放題の海鮮丼、オオズワイガニの食べ放題、和洋中に加えてアジアンコーナにガパオライス！まさかの好物鶏飯（北海道版）！アイヌ料理のオハウ（雑煮の様な汁物）等々、絶対に食べきれない種類が勢揃いしており、とても楽しく美味しかったです。また温泉は硫黄泉、食塩泉、含鉄泉と泉質も充実。露天風呂も温めで長湯可能でした。サウナ好きの息子もキッチリとした熱さに大満足でした。中々来れないけど、いつかまた、お世話になりたいお宿です。
