Very spacious room, view is excellent facing east with stunning sun rise. Staff are very friendly with smile on face. The onsen is great with sauna room. A very nice place to stay, will come again

The traditional Japanese breakfast was excellent and filling. The staff very friendly and a clean excellent onsen. The traditional tatami mat room was very large!

Great ryokan. We paid for half-board, so dinner and breakfast were included. Typical kaiseki dinner. Rooftop bath was amazing. The public baths overlook the sea and provides an incredible view. On the men's side there are two baths indoor, one hot and one cold. There's also a dry sauna and an outdoor bath.

海が近く、露天風呂から海が見える所が良かったです。駐車場も隣接してるのでホテルとの行き来も良かったです。

別府タワーや海も近く、何と言っても露天風呂が静かでゆっくりできて最高でした！

Amazing spa

Nice Ryokan, a little old but a very nice place to rest for the night. Right by the coast so good access to water and the rooms tub had a sea view. Close by is the dining/shopping area around Beppu station which was nice, and we had a car to get to the further places of interest. We might hesitate to stay again in the future. The windows desperately need mosquito nets! We opened them to let some air in and also while having a private onsen and spent the first night hunting down all the little bugs that got in. Even now my partner and I are still battling the bites. The private onsen also needs a good clean and repaint. The water and tub were fantastic but the room it’s in is a little gross looking in the light.

7층 짜리의 크지 않고 고즈넉한 분위기의 호텔입니다. 리모델링되었는지 깔끔하고 직원들도 체크인 시 주차장 앞에까지 나오셔서 친절하게 안내해주십니다. 대가족이 방문했고 잔여 객실이 거의 없어 오션뷰, 시내뷰 나눠서 묵었는데 오션뷰가 확실히 바다가 눈앞에서 보이고 좋습니다. 이 근처 해변 라인으로 여러개의 호텔이 줄지어 있는데요 여기 호텔이 가격도 저렴하고 위치도 나쁘지 않다고 봅니다. 옥상 야외 온천도 리모델링되어 깔끔하고 바다 경치 보기도 좋아 추천합니다.

In the name of eco mindedness, there is not much service. We told front desk that our bathroom sink has bad drainage, water would fill up sink and drains super slow, plus our drinking water tank is almost empty, yet nothing happened. Location of hotel is great though with front view of the sea.

Booked this hotel specifically for the private onsen experience. I was aware prior booking that the hotel is old and based on reviews and pictures, the hotel seem to have made improvements and maintained good quality standard. To my disappointment the bath/private onsen in our room was way off from the picture advertised. There was mold on the walls, on the sliding door..every where including where the water comes and also drain. we we’re exhausted from a long trip to get to this property looking forward to relaxing bath ..which we did not get due to probably health hazards for having that amount of mold everywhere.

我住的是4樓海景大房，面向別府灣浸溫泉的體驗很好，雖然酒店很有歷史，但大部分設施經已翻新，整體住宿感覺良好，員工亦非常專業而且有禮，價錢更加是超值。我是自駕遊，泊車沒有煩惱，兩天泊車費只是1,100日元。由酒店往別府樂園只需8分鐘，往九州自然動物園只需半小時，往大分亦是大約半小時。

酒店位近海邊,環境寧靜,令人心情放鬆。附近有巴士站到別府鐵路站,尚算方便。 房間很大,和式房間有別於一般市區酒店,有獨立浴室亦有獨立私人風呂。房間內部有玄關,和式客飯廳,西式睡房,結構接近傳統日式住宅,給人一嘗日式生活環境。玄關位置還有蒸餾水機,可以即時有冷熱水。 員工親切友善。

I woke up and wondered for a few seconds whether I was on a moving ship - Good breakfast - Close (1-2 min) to Beppu Tower bus stop Did not like: - I did not feel comfortable with the staff. They would not even try to speak Japanese to me, even though I replied in Japanese to them. Neither Japanese nor English is my native language, but I want to speak Japanese while in Japan, and have had many wonderful experiences doing so -It's one thing switching, 勝手に, to English as a default, it's another thing rushing customers in, then from one place to the other (temperature-measuring stand, hand-disinfecting stand, proper check-in, amenity, elevator), using gestures and isolated words, as a substitute for language. Politeness is lost in the process. From the first to the last second I was in that hotel, I felt not welcomed. I do understand that the lobby was crowded at check-in, but it never got better - The main window in my room did not close properly. All night, I could feel a flow of cold air on every part of my body that was not shrouded by the (otherwise warm) futon. The room never really got warm. Under normal circumstances, I would have contacted the front desk before even going to bed, but based on my previous interactions I felt the interaction would go terribly - A bit more to say, but no characters left. Nothing really bad, but still. Two words : look elsewhere

Very large room, so comfortable for 3 people. Ocean view is nice. Public onsen is so private, no one to use.

冷蔵庫の音がうるさくて寝れないです。

룸 컨디션과 욕장 시설은 흠잡을 곳이 없었습니다. 외관이나 설비에서 약간 낡은 감이 있지만, 그조차 아주 깔끔하게 관리되어 있어 오히려 고풍스러운 세월의 흔적이라 생각되어졌습니다. 현대적인 숙소보다 전통적인 숙소를 선호하시는 분들께 추천드리고 싶습니다. 입지 또한 세븐일레븐 편의점이 도보 2분, 후쿠오카 타워나 돈키호테, 토키와 백화점까지 도보 5분 이내로 여행을 즐기기에 무리가 없습니다. 벳푸역까지는 도보 15분 정도가 걸리는데, 잘 정비된 대로변을 따라가면 되기에 찾는 데 어려움이 없었습니다. 저희는 바다 전망을 원해서 일부러 벳푸역에서 조금 떨어진 곳을 잡았음에도 근처에 랜드마크가 많아서 길찾기가 수월하더군요. 무엇보다도 감동한 것은 직원 분들의 친절함이었습니다. 저희는 일정상 체크인 시간보다 한시간 정도 일찍 도착했는데, 전혀 싫은 티를 내지 않고 로비에 안내해주시고는 삼사십 분 정도 룸에 일찍 들여보내 주셨습니다. 세미 가이세키풍으로 조식을 서빙해주시던 직원분 또한 그 이른 아침에 계속 투숙객의 상태를 살피고, 미소를 띄워주시던 것이 기억에 남습니다. 개인적으로 가장 인상이 깊던 일을 꼽아보자면 투숙 중 새벽 4~5시 경 잠시 마실 것을 구매하러 편의점에 혼자 나섰는데, 상주하시던 프론트 직원분께서 야심한 시각 여성 혼자 외출하는 것을 걱정하셨는지 대문 앞에서 제 귀환을 계속 기다리시던 것입니다. 그분께는 정말 개인적으로라도 감사를 드리고 싶을 따름입니다.

응대도 별로이고, 불친절 합니다!

笑顔で迎えてくれる！これってあたりまえッ！でも結構出来ていないホテルが結構あります 忙しいのはわかるけど定型文のロボットフロントマンが多い😑 しかしこのホテルはじめは、気持ちいい笑顔で迎えてくれて気さくな話もしてくれて「あーここにして良かったわ」って思わせてくれるホテルです（フロントも他のスタッフさんも！） ホテルの年季は仕方ないけどなかなか綺麗です 朝御飯のときスタッフさんのオネェ風の方は細かいことまで気づかいされてめっちゃ良かったです👍 またリピしたいホテルですね！

Apart from the private hot spring in room and near the sea view, it is not worth to stay here. This is an old hotel, the decoration is old style. Water leaks from air conditioner but no one answer the hotline by the front desk. The staff are not very helpful. However, the location is still convenient, quite a lot of restaurants and a shopping mall nearby.

The sea view from the room is amazing. The staff is friendly. There are nearby convenience stores. And we have tried the hotel's complimentary indoor and outdoor onsens which are good too. Recommended!

숙소 위치가 너무 좋아요 역근처에 돈키호테도 가깝고 앞에 바다뷰가 너무 좋아요 직원분들도 친절하고 호텔내 온천도 이용하기 좋았어요 만족해요

目の前が別府湾で、部屋からはるばると見渡せました。日によっては四国まで見えるそうです。部屋付きの温泉もよかったです。お食事もおいしく、人は優しくあたたかく、素敵な土地だと思いました。また訪れてみたいです。
