Parking system that charges 1,300 JPY/night takes forever when multiple guests all try to leave at once. Also in the morning the very strong smell of spices from the hotel’s restaurant permeates into the central A/C system in the hall and enter the rooms. It’s simply unacceptable.

Has a sauna, cold bath, natural bath and hot bath. Staff were excellent, and parking on the opposite side for about 1600 a night. Right in the middle of a very bustling night life. Although, windows on the 10th non smoking floor weee fastened shut and in early March the air on was very hot. Good for some. Fukui is great area though, plenty to go and see in1hr around by car.

The hotel is relatively short distance away from Fukui station, about 12-15 minutes away. The hotel room is spacious except for the bathroom. The bathroom’s age is noticeably and if you are taller than 5’11, you will have a hard time fitting in the shower.

This was my first hotel in Japan. Great value for the quality of the stay. The location has plenty to offer in a walkable distance, including close proximity to the Shinkansen (bullet train). I staid here to be able to visit Daihonzan Eiheiji. The bus to Eiheiji temple is at the transportation center where the Shinkansen and other trains depart.
