This is a beautiful 100+ year old house that is in very good condition. The Hostess is friendly, gracious, professional and efficient. She made us feel comfortable and always answered any questions immediately. With only 9 rooms, it is quiet and quaint. We loved sitting in the Library after a day of touring to relax and prepare for the evening. The breakfasts were delicious and were a work of art on your morning plate. We hope to stay there again when we return to Victoria. The house is located walking distance to downtown and Chinatown along with multiple restaurants for dinners.

Our host, Cathy, was an absolute joy. She was so friendly and helpful. She did whatever she could to make our stay enjoyable. Thanks Cathy! Our room (Hideaway) was clean, very comfortable, and had plenty of space. Everything we needed was available and everything was in good condition. The fireplace worked great and made the room very cozy. The food was exceptional. We had a delicious and beautifully presented breakfast each morning. The additional dining area was great for getting takeout food and bringing it back to the inn for dinner. There was a common fridge which could be used by all guests, which we used for drinks and other food. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and will look to stay again on our next trip to Victoria.

Highly recommend Beaconsfield Inn for its charming indoor and outdoor spaces, location, amazing breakfast, free parking and attentive and friendly service. Just 15 minute walk from city centre, 5 minutes from Beacon Hill park, 15 minutes from the incredible ocean front. Tranquil and peaceful yet so central. A gem!

The best thing about this place is the location. Everything is so close. Go left. You're in town. Go right you're at Cook Street. Go south is Beacon Hill Park. We arrived. We parked the car and we didn't use it again until we left.

It was all so wonderful I scarce know where to begin! We arrived in the afternoon at a stately premises and were ushered in by Jenny, a most welcoming hostess. This is a Victorian era home, early 1900’s, updated and restored to all its former glory. Dark paneling, actual fireplaces, creaky floors, high ceilings all setting the mood. The library was special, containing perhaps 500 books and artifacts of a bygone era. We stayed in a suite having had the choice of two, both magnificent. In the morning a catered breakfast is served in a sun filled nook and that too was splendid. Victoria’s primary attractions are within walking distance of The Beaconsfield and we eagerly looked forward to returning to the residence in the evenings to slip back into the feel of a golden age. The Beaconsfield is highly recommended!

We first stayed at the Beaconsfield Inn back in 1991 when we were 22 years old. We eloped on the property and spent our first married night at this beautiful character filled heritage building. Last night was our first time back and it was magical!! I spoke with the host last week and told her our story and she was very excited that we were returning. Our check-in process was fast and meaningful as we were given a tour of the common areas and then given an upgraded room which included flowers and a handwritten note welcoming us back. Our "Garden Room" was very spacious with a fireplace and wonderful walk in shower. Our breakfast was also lovely!! I highly recommend visiting this B&B!

An old Victorian style home. Spacious room, with comfy bed. Bathroom was very adequate but not great. Staff were brilliant. Breakfasts were Michelin worthy. Restaurants, downtown tourist sites within easy walking. Easy and free parking at the properties a bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here with my hubby for my birthday weekend, and it was a lovely stay. The inn has many beautiful antiques throughout and is spotlessly clean.The breakfast was delicious and the library/lounge had free cookies and pastries available for guests along with glasses of red wine. Jenny, the innkeeper, was wonderful and kindly brought me a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries to enjoy on my special day! Thank you so much for making our visit so memorable!

The suite my wife and I stayed for 4 nights in needed to be renovated or badly in need of some major repairs. The carpet definitely needs to be replaced as it caused all kinds of problems including dust and smell. The doors and windows don't shut properly, either. The hostess', Jenny and Su-Bin, worked hard, but there was only so much they could do because the property, at least the suite we stayed in, needed a whole new makeover, it seems!

The Beaconsfield Inn is an amazing place to stay. The 1905 structure has original charm. The shared spaces are unique and interesting and they take you back in time. Our room was beautiful and spotless. Our breakfast was amazing just as is the owner of the inn. She is friendly, and very accommodating. We would definately return, as well as recommend it to others. Great location, as well!

This is a lovely place to stay and we definitely recommend it! So much more charm in this historic building than a standard hotel. Cathy was very courteous and thoughtful. Easy checkin and out, good communication. The neighborhood is very pleasant and relaxing with a park nearby. We had the Duchess room which was a bit older in terms of wear but spacious. Best of all we saw a peacock greeting us at our tasty breakfast!

Tolle Lage direkt am Rand des Zentrums. Man kann von dort alles im Zentrum fußläufig erreichen und muss sich nicht um teure Parkplätze kümmern. In weniger als 15 Min. ist man am Parlament und am Hafen. Wir hatten das Dachgeschoss, ein sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit sehr gemütlicher Ausstattung. Das Frühstück war super, das gesamte Haus hat ein tolles Ambiente. Wie auf einer Zeitreise, trotzdem alles sauber, modern (Whirlpool-Badewanne, viele Steckdosen) und mit schnellem WLAN.

Beautiful heritage house with exceptional staff. Its very walkable, only about 10 min away from all the action, and we loved the aesthetics of the house. Our only complaint was the “penthouse” we got had a skylight and window that was pointed forward an outdoor light so it was very bright all night long. A curtain for the window would have made a big difference (we covered it with a bathrobe and that worked)

Two major problems with this B & B. As an 82 year old senior there is a full level of stairs to carry bag up to the entrance level. Two, Room is quaint but had no heat (three possibilities are visible - electric floor bars, gas fire, and old radiator. None have any visible accessible controls and room temp was so cold at night. No extra blankets so had to sleep fully clothed. Noisy in the morning when the garbage truck clunked with such next door. Electric plugs in sockets for computer and phone was a strip on the floor (behind a chair) and also had to plug in the water jug there. Staff and breakfast excellent. But this place is overpriced and not really up to even 2 star standard. Seniors should avoid. Room had no view and blind could not be raised for more light, Finally Wi- Fi is confusing and link faded and needed reboot several times.

My mother and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Beaconsfield Inn. The McClure room was very large by today's standards, filled with antiques and the beds were very comfortable. I very much enjoyed the jacuzzi tub! Cathy and her staff provided to notch service. I will definitely bee returning

We first stayed at the Beaconsfield Inn back in 1991 when we were 22 years old. We eloped on the property and spent our first married night at this beautiful character filled heritage building. Last night was our first time back and it was magical!! I spoke with the host last week and told her our story and she was very excited that we were returning. Our check-in process was fast and meaningful as we were given a tour of the common areas and then given an upgraded room which included flowers and a handwritten note welcoming us back. Our "Garden Room" was very spacious with a fireplace and wonderful walk in shower. Our breakfast was also lovely!! I highly recommend visiting this B&B!

Would love to have the opportunity to stay there again. Emily Carr room. An extra arm chair was provided when asked for. Interesting reading material about Carr. 10 minute walk to waterfront, dining and shops. Service could not have been better. Our hostess was friendly, accommodating, helpful, just great.

We had a lovely stay. The property is beautiful it was like stepping back in time. Staff are amazing can’t do enough for you. Your stay here includes breakfast we are vegetarian and also do not eat eggs this was accommodated for with no issues. We were also leaving before breakfast time on our final day so they arranged for a to go breakfast for us which was so nice of them. I had also left my coat in the room on check out and they kindly arranged for this to be posted to family in Toronto where we would later be visiting. If we ever return to Victoria I won’t hesitate to book again.

Our host, Cathy, was an absolute joy. She was so friendly and helpful. She did whatever she could to make our stay enjoyable. Thanks Cathy! Our room (Hideaway) was clean, very comfortable, and had plenty of space. Everything we needed was available and everything was in good condition. The fireplace worked great and made the room very cozy. The food was exceptional. We had a delicious and beautifully presented breakfast each morning. The additional dining area was great for getting takeout food and bringing it back to the inn for dinner. There was a common fridge which could be used by all guests, which we used for drinks and other food. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and will look to stay again on our next trip to Victoria.

This is a beautiful 100+ year old house that is in very good condition. The Hostess is friendly, gracious, professional and efficient. She made us feel comfortable and always answered any questions immediately. With only 9 rooms, it is quiet and quaint. We loved sitting in the Library after a day of touring to relax and prepare for the evening. The breakfasts were delicious and were a work of art on your morning plate. We hope to stay there again when we return to Victoria. The house is located walking distance to downtown and Chinatown along with multiple restaurants for dinners.

Highly recommend Beaconsfield Inn for its charming indoor and outdoor spaces, location, amazing breakfast, free parking and attentive and friendly service. Just 15 minute walk from city centre, 5 minutes from Beacon Hill park, 15 minutes from the incredible ocean front. Tranquil and peaceful yet so central. A gem!

The best thing about this place is the location. Everything is so close. Go left. You're in town. Go right you're at Cook Street. Go south is Beacon Hill Park. We arrived. We parked the car and we didn't use it again until we left.

This was a repeat stay for us. Breakfasts are very nice. The Inn is near the Inner Harbor and major dights, but about 1 km back and away from that, so it is nice and quiet. We love being able to go to Victoria with our bikes via ferry and take rides in and around Victoria.

What a treasure we found in Victoria- a classic Edwardian mansion, 2 blocks from Beacon Hill Park, 15 min walk from downtown. Beautiful, well maintained, large rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious and plated and served well. The best part? The staff- kind, generous and full of hospitality and charm. We cannot wait to return.

The Beaconsfield Suite gets you the entire third floor to yourself - quiet, spacious and private. Great location - grabbed a coffee on Cook St. and walked through Beacon Hill Park to the ocean every morning before returning for an excellent and creative breakfast.Staff was helpful and accommodating. Only two suggestions: the coffee and the pillows could both be better. The former a bit weak, the latter a bit thin. But overall, definitely recommended.

This B&B was a last minute booking and it was a wonderful surprise. When you book here realize that this house is in an oldee English style which involves some of the quirks that go with that. Our room was the 'Parlour' which was opposite the entrance. Despite this we didnt hear anything from the entrance or lobby during our stay, as well as nothing from the floor above. The room style was lovely with beautiful drawers, a huge bed and chairs to sit in infront of the fireplace. There is even a glass case/table with older ladies hairbrushers and some other items. When I saw breakfast was included I assumed it would be typical bagels and fruit etc. laid out. When we checked in we were given a choice of 3 times to attend breakfast, and were told it would be what the chef wanted to prepare. To our delight the breakfast had 2 courses and both were absolutely delicious! The person who seated and served us was also attentive and welcoming. The chef even created an egg-free version of their intended breakfast for myself on just an evenings notice. The neighbourhood is quiet and pleasant and the location is very close to the downtown area. It would be very easy to walk or bike to some of the shops and restaurants. My mum and I would definitely recommend staying here for your trip to the City

My stay at the Beaconsfield Inn was lovely. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and quiet. The chef was able to accommodate my food requirements (celiac and soy allergy) and I enjoyed delicious breakfasts. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Can’t recommend the place enough!

Charming stay at the Beaconsfield! The whole place was so cozy and the staff was wonderful. We had a room on the main floor, but had no noise problems and slept great. Breakfast in their beautiful breakfast room was a highlight of the stay.
