We absolutely loved our stay here!! The suite we stayed in had incredible views of the bay and a private deck area to take it all in. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating, and we greatly appreciated being able to use their kayaks for an early morning paddle. To top it off we saw multiple bald eagles and herons to our delight. The suite itself seemed brand new or recently updated, and our kids loved sleeping up in the loft. We can’t recommend this place enough! One last thoughtful touch… the owners baked fresh muffins and delivered them to our suite the morning we departed! :)

The stay at birds of a feather is quiet and convenient. The owners had dropped us a guideline in advance and checkin was quick and hassle free. Plus, they had offered us freshly backed muffins complimentary. Last but not the least the property is located in a beautiful area, with a personal patio and dock, which has a kayak, a boat, a peddle board, and bicycles added as amenities! Sitting on the patio sofas and sipping wine and cheese would be ideal, if time allows.

We would highly recommend this B&B. Rooms are clean, the owners are gracious & kind and the setting is spectacular. Kayaking on the lagoon is a great perk & there is a hot tub for a little extra fee. Bicycles are also available for touring this beautiful area.

This property is in Colwood. It is a beautiful, quiet & safe area. Easy parking - host left message saying you are welcome to use bikes/paddle boards/kayaks available on site if you wish. You need a car to access down town Victoria from here. Our room - Room 4 - is probably the smallest in the property- was fine for an overnight stay. We woke up to freshly made muffins on the Sunday morning (a gift) which was a lovely surprise.

Suite had gorgeous views, was comfortable, and had an amazing soaker tub/waterfall shower. Our stay was enroute to elsewhere, but I would come back to spend more time here. Amazing one night stay at birds of a feather. The location was great - right near the ocean and on the lagoon. We loved sitting on the dock in the morning with a coffee. We were brought freshly baked muffins which added to the whole experience! Would have loved to have more time here.

Amazing, well kept and beautiful property directly on the ocean and lagoon. This property has beautiful views and is close to everything you could possibly need while feeling quiet and peaceful at the same time. There are even bikes, kayaks and canoes available to use on the trails and the water. We love it here and would highly recommend.

The location is excellent, in the community, by the lake, very good environment. Check-in was very easy and convenient. The room is relatively small for a family of four. The stairs on the second floor are a bit obstructive, so be careful when walking. The external environment is very good, the entertainment facilities are complete, and the weather is good, especially suitable for boating. It is really pleasant. The housekeeper delivered homemade muffins in the morning, which tasted delicious.

The B&B is built right on the waters of the Esquimalt lagoon. I captured some of the most beautiful sunrises on camera. Large beautiful natural parks you can walk too or drive within minutes. If nature is your thing this is your place. The hosts are some of the most wonderful and personable people I have met. Fresh amazingly good muffins everyday. If you are looking for a safe, quiet place to relax or contemplate life, here it is. The rooms are so well kept, comfortable and beautifully designed. I will recommend this place over and over.

What a beautiful property. We only stayed overnight but we enjoyed the use of the upper patio outside if our room and our daughter and son-in-law visited for a few hours. The room was very nice, well appointed and very comfortable. The views were fantastic and loved watching the geese and ducks wash up for the morning while having my coffee on he deck. We will definitely stay here again!

When I looked at the pictures of the rooms and property I was impressed. But the actual room was nearly claustrophobic. I mean a double bed in a room. This room was not in the pics. I would have stayed there anyway, but I think they need to be more upfront about what they actually delivered. The people where nice, the property nice, but the room was way small.

The economy room was small and not cute, like a sad basement suite. Fine to spend a night if you don’t care about aesthetics but certainly not a place I would have a romantic evening. I had ant visitors and had to get up to swat a mosquito buzzing around my face. I could hear the people upstairs walking. Not worth the money for me — should’ve stayed closer to restaurants, etc. I imagine the other rooms are much nicer? The property itself is very pretty.

It is just what it says, economy. Very small. The lake is beautiful. Parking is on road get there early, or you park next block. Step up to bathroom is quirky, no handle to hang onto. It is quiet.

The room was very small for $177 with a view of the carport ceiling and the bed hurt my back. Pretty sure there's a hot tub you can use but I'm not sure as it wasn't on the ad for the room and there was nothing written up about it in the room. If you have a room with a view it will have a fantastic view :)

Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a solo retreat, or an adventure with friends, this BNB ticks all the boxes. The tranquil setting, amazing views, and kayaking opportunities make for an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back!

My husband and I liked that this property was outside the hustle and bustle of the city. It was at the end of a street which made it feel more private and the property and views from the property made it feel like a peaceful retreat. Our honeymoon suite was very nice, offering wonderful views of the lagoon, having everything we needed, and an amazingly large bathtub. This was an especially nice bonus since our package didn't include the use of the hot tub. The bed was not too soft or too hard and we slept wonderfully. We are more accustomed to large refrigerators but the small one did its job, for the small amount of food we were storing. Our package did not include breakfast but we were treated to amazing cranberry muffins one morning. Every day we would go on adventures and every night we had somewhere safe, beautiful, and peaceful to rest. When we had to leave our beautiful getaway I accidentally left an important item behind. The owner was wonderful to work with and shipped my item back to me at my home. We had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this property.

It's an easy drive to shopping and services, and not very far (20-30 minutes) to downtown Victoria. The hosts are kind, responsive and well-organized. Spectacular B&B. What more can one ask for while in Victoria. Our family enjoyed the ease of check in, the graciousness of the owners and the comfort of the room and our beds. The location to the local castle, dinning and downtown was perfect. At first I thought it might be too out of the way, but I was certainly mistaken and thankful I chose Birds of A Feather for our two day stay in Victoria. By far, this B&B was one of two of the best stays on our Canadian Rockies adventure. My family and I would certainly advise you to stay here for your next vacay.

Amazing one night stay at birds of a feather. The location was great - right near the ocean and on the lagoon. We loved sitting on the dock in the morning with a coffee. We were brought freshly baked muffins which added to the whole experience! Would have loved to have more time here.

We absolutely loved our stay here!! The suite we stayed in had incredible views of the bay and a private deck area to take it all in. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating, and we greatly appreciated being able to use their kayaks for an early morning paddle. To top it off we saw multiple bald eagles and herons to our delight. The suite itself seemed brand new or recently updated, and our kids loved sleeping up in the loft. We can’t recommend this place enough! One last thoughtful touch… the owners baked fresh muffins and delivered them to our suite the morning we departed! :)

How quaint and quiet this turned out to be. Absolutely adorable it was for a night stay. I would have stayed longer. We stayed in the smaller room downstairs which was just enough for us. We are simple people. This was simple, quiet and clean. We kayaked in the morning and sat on the beautiful large patio with our coffees. It felt like no one else was around. And the morning muffins? Delicious! We met the owner and she was kind and sweet. Thank you for this stay! I have already recommended to people who I think would like this style.
