The Royal Kelowna - Bellstar Hotels & Resorts

Had a great family vacation while staying at this hotel. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms are very clean.The downtown location is extremely convenient to travel and shop around. So many food options nearby. The walk along the lake is a great refreshment. Kids loved the rooftop pool and hot tubs. Gym is small but has equipment to workout all body parts. Plenty of parking for vehicles/trailers of any size. I definitely recommend this hotel.

The room is spotless, the staff is friendly, this hotel is so quiet! The pool and hot tubs are great, great for families with kids. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing space for families. Towels at pool would be nice instead of taking them from your room.

The parking is quite pricey at $25/day and they only let you register one vehicle. It makes more sense to park for free by the library!

For this price point, it's a 8/10. The suite was spacious, and although older, well equipped and comfortable. I would detract points for the gym which just wasn't up to standard for a high end hotel. The weight equipment was old/refurbished and barely functional, and the cardio equipment although relatively new, was low quality. This aspect of the facility was definitely designed with cost cutting in mind.

Had a great room with lots of space and comfortable beds. Nice big balcony looking over Okanagan lake and the floating bridge. Solid bathroom space and shower, lots of TV channels to choose from. Rooftop pool and gym. Great location right across from the Junior hockey rink. Casino close by and lots of restaurants in the area.

Perfectly comfortable for a girls weekend. The pool was not heated to a comfortable temperature - it was too cold to enjoy.

Told the people at the front there’s black mold in the multiple showers and I have sensitive lungs. If someone can get in there and scrap and clean it properly while we were gone for the day. Wasn’t cleaned. They upgraded us to a room on the next floor up and still had black mold in the showers. Unacceptable. I took some pictures and videos of the incident and no word back. Id book another cleaner hotel especially for the ridiculous prices.

This is an excellent location, however the condo we were in needed a bit of work. Cob webs on the inside of the upper bedroom window, black mold in the shower, bathroom sinks do not drain properly and dishwasher did not work. Not sure if they neglect the unit we were in because it was in the worst location in the building? Don't book a 1 bedroom Queen Room because you will literally be overlooking the Oak and Cru and the only lake view will be a side view out the bedroom window. Very small windows in the living area. I asked if we could move to another unit and they said all 1 bedroom queen rooms are in that location!

I stayed in an expensive top floor suite, they are in the middle of replacing the furniture, so we got upgraded to a three room space with a hot tub which was nice. The cleanliness could have been better as there was left over crumbs from previous guests. The tub jets have must of not been cleaned and or operated in a very long time, as it was full of bacteria film when I turned on the jets. Other than that the stay was fine. Parking is pretty expensive and a continental breakfast would have been great.

The room was spotless and very nice. The staff was excellent.

A comfy bed and nice room. A bit dated but comfortable. Unfortunately we found many areas that were not as clean as they could be. Just splashes of white on walls and doors and tile. Maybe cleaners… Also general dust build up on door frames etc. it just needed a more thorough deep clean.

I have stayed many times at The Royal Kelowna. The location is beautiful and convenient. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

We had an extraordinary stay at The Royal Kelowna in a 1 BRQ suite. We made full use of the amenities in the apartment including a washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen and patio, as well as the hotel amenities like the rooftop patio with infinity pool and indoor/outdoor hot tubs with some of the best views in Kelowna. The hotel is is conveniently located to tourist attractions and entertainment, parks and dining/shopping options. The Royal is one of Kelowna’s best-kept secrets.

It was a beautiful king suite. We were quite impressed. Large balcony overlooking the lake. A rooftop swimming pool. It felt very luxurious compared to an ordinary hotel room. It’s expensive but worth it.

Our room was like a small condo. It had a full kitchen, living and dining room, ensuite laundry and a large terrace facing the lake. We were very comfortable and it felt like a home away from home. Most importantly, the suite was clean!

The room was big , however it needed some home improvements,and a good cleaning. Unfortunately the bed was creaky and sunken in, definitely needed new pillows, The staff was amazing, location excellent.

This is our second stay at this location and it is perfect for us! The front desk staff are welcoming and helpful.

It’s always the people for me, the Manager on site for our stay was incredible. So helpful, charming, friendly. He really went out of his way to help us with our accident of buying and flying with 3 cases of wine. Above and beyond for this hotel!. We will be back every trip.

The property was beautiful dont get me wrong, but if you are going to have some of the nicest rooms in Kelowna, your service should be congruent with that. I felt an unaccomodating vibe right from check-in. You dont get the impression the staff actually wants to help. First point, when we wanted our room turned over the next day, they said they dont do that since the pandemic because its hard to hire staff. We then just asked to have our bed changed only with a lot of pushbacks and maybes.... Next point, when we ordered food to our room from skip the dishes, the front desk did not bring it up or call our room to let us know it arrived and the food sat there cold. We gave her advise for what she could do differently and the next time we ordered food, she called our room and we asked her to bring it up, but when she brought it up she left it outside our door and didnt knock or ring the doorbell, so it sat there again. We spoke to the manager the following day to offer suggestions on how to make the stay better and all she had to give was defensive comments about their policies. Completely unreceptive to constructive feedback. I feel like if you have the nicest place in town, you should strive to have the best service too. End of story! Fuether more they charged out all these hidden fees at checkout, late checkout fee of 1pm (most places do this free), housekeeping fee (what housekeeping????they dont turnover rooms), and service fee (what service???)

Evening check-in staff was absolutely amazing! He was so kind and even upgraded us and actually prompted me to book for a girls weekend coming up in December

I am having a nightmare time with the billing. I tried talking with The Royal Kelowna but their response is unsatisfactory. First, there are three charges on my credit card between April 22 and April 26: $712.34, $277.37 and $714.27. I am going to dispute all of these charges and hope that The Royal Kelowna will submit one charge for what I owe. When I spoke with the representative, he told me that my room charge went up and day 2 and up again on day 3 -- he said I had been notified, but that never happened. This is a lovely, lovely facility but the billing is a nightmare.

Very disappointed with the overall service. No check in details example Wi-Fi password, and that we had to use our actual key to get into the door of the hotel. Overall, if this is better communicated, our experience would’ve been much better.

Our stay at The Royal Kelowna was amazing. The ambience throughout the hotel was warm, professional, and incredibly welcoming. The staff were not only helpful but also very accommodating of all our requests, making us feel truly cared for during our stay. The location struck the perfect balance. It was close enough to everything we needed, yet far enough to feel peaceful and safe. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again.

The property is right by the Okanagan lake. Next door to a beautiful park right in the cultural centre. Walking distances to restaurants, boat launch and several amenities..

The Royal Kelowna offers a quiet stay, great location, nice clean suites with comfortable beds and fully furnished kitchen. Beautiful surroundings, very walkableand plenty of restaurants.

Great location, walkable area to restaurants, beach and shopping. Felt like being in a home not a hotel room. Great view. Peaceful.

Great location on the water. Easy access to walking along the boardwalk area. The unit itself was very nice with lots of space and kitchen was well equiped. Would definitely stay there again.

The condos are beautiful with gorgeous views of the lake -- the boats docked just outside also give it a holiday feeling right away. The excellent food at the Oak & Cru next door sure makes it convenient. The waterfront is all walkable with a gorgeous park steps away.

Beautiful hotel where we had an amazing three bedroom suite and fully equipped kitchen. Perfect spot right by the water with a lovely rooftop pool. Limited restaurants- none on site that we found! But there are plenty around. Fully recommend.

The hotel lacked the hotel convienence. We never had any cleaning service nor did we have fresh towels, bottled water, the pool didn’t get fresh towels you could not use the Other pool it charge anything to your room from the Delta which is attached. Nice room but for the money that we paid you would expect some type of service with it and not just like an apartment

Property is looking dated now. Clean rooms. No restaurant on site so we went next door Hotel. Good location!

Great location if you’re staying in Kelowna. Right on the lake with a beautiful view, and within walking distance from their main street area. Our condo was perfect for two couples, plenty of room and nice amenities, including a washer/dryer in the unit.
