Great hôtel to stay at !! Big outdoor pool and a few bbq areas, near a couple of café and restaurants . The hôtel was clean and felt very safe . I’d go back again !!

I liked that there were many barbecues set up complete with utensils for our use. Lots of tables in a nice courtyard and a clean pool. The owners were very nice and accommodating

This place is a gem ! The relaxed atmosphere and friendly service , along with our very clean , and comfortable room made for a great stay . Some of the decor is outdated but there has been lots of thoughtful upgrades as well. We were pleasantly surprised , our room was nice . The saltwater pool was great and we enjoyed that there was lots of outdoor seating. The location to the beach was perfect. We would definitely stay here again in the future .

This hotel is extremely well appointed and convenient to the area. We were impressed buy the amenities available outside where there’s a large pool, numerous lounge chairs, picnic tables and multiple BBQ’s that would make this an excellent venue for a family reunion. The manager is extremely professional and friendly. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

As soon as we pulled into the (ample) parking lot, we were charmed by the 1960's retro vibe of Empire Motel. The building exterior and grounds are very well kept. Check in was a breeze and Estelle is a wonderful host. The room was updated and very clean. The beds were comfortable. Cable tv, ice in the refrigerator, shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the shower. Speaking of the shower, there is plenty of water pressure. There was plenty of storage, if you wanted to unpack and settle in. We were only in Penticton for one night, but we'll definitely be back and could happily spend a week or more at Empire Motel.

We just spent four nights at this lovely little motel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained. We had a 2bd suite with kitchen, and they provide grills and tables around the pool area. Perfect for a home cooked dinner. The saltwater pool was clean and refreshing. We loved everything about our stay. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at the Empire Motel at a great price. The rooms were updated and clean, the owner/manager was very friendly and helpful during our stay. It also has a nice outdoor pool area and bbq area. I believe the outdoor pool opens in May.

We initially were given a top floor room, which was hard for my mother in law to go up the stairs. The woman at the desk was very friendly and accommodating- offering us a ground floor room. The room was very clean, and the back yard has a nice pool with picnic areas with bbqs. No issues.

The property was extremely clean and rooms were very spacious. Front desk staff were also very friendly

The room was good for the price. Bed was comfortable. There was some spider webs in the corners of the bathroom and an issues with the draining of the tub but the staff was friendly. Only recommendation would be an 11am check out time like most other hotels.

Good location close to beach. Nice pool area with grills. What we didnt like was that the maid service. They didnt make the bed, didnt leave clean coffee mugs...just straightened up bathroom.

Cups were dirty, no soap to clean cups. No coffee or tea left the second day.

This is the cleanest motel that we have ever stayed at. Management is extremely helpful and always available.

Checkin was a breeze - very nice clerk. Room was clean, but mediocre - my feet got dirty walking barefoot in the room. All ok until I saw the note on the fridge ‘if you don’t wash dishes you use (2 coffee cups) you’ll be charged $30’!! Note also says to keep linens clean or you’ll be charged damage! Total turn off to an otherwise decent stay.

Friendly staff! We had six people in our party and they had a two bedroom unit that worked well for us. While the motel is a bit dated in places, they have done important updates and have made it a comfortable place to stay. Only about a five minute walk from the beach!

Bed was new and very comfortable, and room was super clean! Basic motel room, nothing fancy, but there was a good sized fridge, a table and chairs, everything needed. Outdoor pool area looked nice, and saw they have a ping pong table outside as well. Would be great for kids.

What we liked: incredibly friendly and personable staff, clean rooms as advertised, good kitchen facilities. What we didn't like: extra guest fees for the 4th guest in a family suite that is advertised to sleep 6 is just ridiculous. The 'master' bedroom that faces the front is subject to INTENSE light pollution from the direct overhead fairy lights- the curtains are not good enough to block this out.

Beds were comfortable, place was clean, shower pressure excellent. Only warning is that the AC unit is loud.

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff was friendly and the room very clean. I would have appreciated however a bit more space to put toiletries in the bathroom as well as a night stand. But overall very happy.

Everything was very clean upon arrival, front desk staff were extremely helpful and even when they could not extend my stay they found me a room at another hotel— great experience and will definitely return

I booked this hotel for my parents and paid by Amex Credit card. When they checked in, the owner didn’t allow them to use Amex to pay. In addition, I booked the last room which was shown on website, actually there were more vacant rooms. Totally spam information, not worth the money! Bad service!

Estelle checked us in and was so friendly and helpful! It was a wonderful place to stay, very comfortable, quiet and clean.

Our family went their and the owner was amazing. Close to the beach and the pool was awesome. Lots of other families and the courtyard also was in an amazing shape.

We had to leave our home in West Kelowna due to an evacuation order. 🔥😥 It’s a really stressful and unsettling time for so many people in our community & our hearts go out to everyone experiencing this challenging time. ❤️ We drove towards Penticton to find accommodations & booked the only place with a room that we found on hotels.com on our way. We booked two nights accommodation at the cost of almost $700 plus a $300 damage deposit. Not affordable by any means. Well, this situation only got worse for us. After one nights stay, the owners of Empire Motel Penticton informed us that they have a no pet policy. We missed this information in booking quickly under the circumstances. They then told us that we have to leave, with no refund for the second paid night and likely no return of the deposit regardless of the place being as perfect as we arrived. We informed them that we are evacuees, that we have no where to go & we need our funds returned… They had absolutely NO COMPASSION, proceeded with their unethical behaviour & poor business practices that has left our family further stressed & caused us further mental & emotional harm during these unprecedented times. This motel with hearts everywhere truly has NO HEART. Our message for everyone is to be cautious, there are businesses that are purely in it for profit like this one, are taking advantage of people in bad situations & truly DO NOT CARE about the circumstances our province or it’s residence are in. 💔

What a great place to stay. Its a little older, but is very well maintained. The service was excellent, and we recievec everything we requested without delay. The location is fantastic with convenience stores all around, and just a short walk to Skaha lake. I fully recommended staying here.

The property was very clean, and the area seemed safe. It's close to shopping, and the beach. Excellent Japanese Fusion restaurant just across the street. Very friendly staff, i was pleasantly surprised when the hostess remembered my name at checkout, despite only meeting her for several minutes at check-in.

We really had a great stay at Empire Motel. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The pool was clean and fun for the kids. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating areas and BBQs. Absolutely will go back and have already started recommending Empire Motel to family and friends. You could really tell the owners and staff worked hard at keeping everything clean and cared for!! We had a family suite and it was perfect for our family of four. Looking forward to staying there again.

The Empire Motel is the perfect place to enjoy your Penticton getaway! I was recommended to stay at the motel by family, and I’m so glad; the place is loved by the staff and owners as it’s very clean and well kept. The place is steps away to 1 of the 2 lakes and everything else is within a easy 10 minute or less drive. Across the way are 2 tasty spots for food - Japanese food and ice cream! Special thanks to the owner of the motel who greeted us so warmly! I look forward to visiting Penticton again and staying at the Empire Motel!

This was an excellent family property, we enjoyed the pool and bbq area. A great Shushi restaurant accross the street and ice cream parlour down the block. We took advantage of the close beach proximity and enjoyed subset strolls along the boardwalk and building sandcastles
