An adorable boutique hotel in the heart of Rome, a short walk to the Spanish steps. Parking is at a small offsite lot 4 blocks away, so the hotel is more preferable if you dont have a car. The breakfast buffet was delicious. Our room was in the annex across the street. Small but very comfortable with a great bed, terrific air conditioning in the middle of a Rome August. The staff was very pleasant and responsive. Would definitely book here again, without a car.

Beautiful boutique hotel, the rooms are lovely and the staff attentive. A delicious and varied breakfast with Valerio and the team on the top floor, is a wonderful way to start the day. The location is fantastic too.

We love staying at this property. The location is central and very convenient to many of the highlights of a Roman holiday. It’s nice that it isn’t terribly touristy by the hotel though all things are accessible. There’s a great breakfast that is included from a rooftop restaurant. The rooms are well sized and sophisticated in design and feels more residential rather than “hotel cookie cutter” like. The staff is very professional, helpful and pleasant. We love the guidebook that the owner has written that they give you when you check-in. It gives you an insider’s look into the places to shop and eat.

The 2 best things about this hotel is its location and the rooftop terrace. Located between Piazza di Popolo and The Spanish steps it is close to the famous shopping streets and the monuments are close by. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace which is also available for guest only use throughout the day. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. This is the second time we have stayed here and loved it

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Babuino 181. This small hotel is perfectly located between Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo, in the very heart of the shopping precinct of Rome. Fontana di Trevi and Pantheon are within walking distance. our room was spacious, very well furnished and immaculately maintained. breakfast is served in the roof terrace and offers great selection of food. the whole staff is very corteous and kind. we will definitely get back there!!!!

Excellent location for those looking to check out all major attractions and spend some time shopping. We were able to walk everywhere. The stores around the hotel offered variety of world known brands and local designers. Many great restaurants and cafes to try variety of Italian food. The hotel was very clean, our room was very spacious with a balcony and huge windows. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The decor is a bit dated, but they do a great job keeping everything sparkling clean. The breakfast was alright, it would be nice to order a few warm menu items and have more healthy options such as berries, quality granola and freshly squeezed juices, but knowing that Italians don’t eat breakfast what they offered was more than enough to load up on calories in the morning.

The hotel is in a fabulous area close to all the major Sites to visit, great restaurants and boutiques. Our room was large and very comfortable but on the 2nd floor and dark. The breakfast on the rooftop was great with good ingredients and great staff. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and the front desk allowed us to have a late ck out which was very nice.

I've stayed in a number of SLH hotels and it's usually a superlative experience. While the Babuino staff were nice, the hotel was missing the attention to detail I've come to expect from SLH - door frames were chipped, floors were heavily scratched up, bad lighting, the heater hummed so loudly I had to turn it off to sleep, screw holes in the walls in the room (shelving had been removed but not covered up).

Room 104 - was extremely noisy. Guest on second floor walked a lot during the night (up to 12:00-01:00) and I could hear every step. My room was door to door to house keeping outlet, also pretty noisy. Mattress is in bad shape.

We enjoyed our stay over the holidays. Our room was small, but very well appointed. We were not able to control the heat, so my husband did crack a window because it was extremely warm in our room. Breakfast had a great variety and delicious cappuccino’s. The area was so walkable and lovely. We will stay again in the future.

Really nice place. Big rooms and comfortable accommodations. However, there is only single-zone heating/AC, which means the whole building can only have either heat or AC. We went in late April and being from the Northeast U.S. found Rome quite warm and wanted our rooms cool at night. But others in the hotel complained the rooms were too cold, so we were forced to endure very hot rooms at night. Luckily, the windows opened.

Apesar de ter reservado o quarto no hotel, eles me colocaram no anexo alegando que tinha ganho um up grade, mas não gostei do anexo. quando cheguei no hotel a noite, após o jantar, o hotel estava trancado. sai muito cedo pela manhã para ir pro aeroporto e o hotel também estava trancado.

Nice property but questionable service. We stayed in annex (across the street and down the block). Every day the housekeeper did not leave any bottles of water. (Water in sink non- potable which desk never told us until I asked). Tried to call for water but our phone was dead. Otherwise property was good

Our entire stay, from the moment we walked in, was spectacular. The bell staff proactively helped us with luggage without us asking. We checked in a few hours early and our room was ready, hassle-free. The front desk even gave us a free upgrade to the best suite with the rooftop terrace. The room was amazing. The space was so large that we needed a mini tour. Everything was spotless and tastefully decorated. The minibar was well stocked. Breakfast was delicious and again friendly staff. This made our trip even more memorable. We stayed in a lot of nice hotels, but this was easily our best hotel experience!

This is an overpriced and underwhelming hotel. Super expensive for what you get. Service is poor and the property is old. I could hear everything from the room next door making it awkward and difficult to sleep. The only good aspects about the property were the location and the breakfast. Overall, not recommended.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Babuino 181. This small hotel is perfectly located between Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo, in the very heart of the shopping precinct of Rome. Fontana di Trevi and Pantheon are within walking distance. our room was spacious, very well furnished and immaculately maintained. breakfast is served in the roof terrace and offers great selection of food. the whole staff is very corteous and kind. we will definitely get back there!!!!

Excellent location for those looking to check out all major attractions and spend some time shopping. We were able to walk everywhere. The stores around the hotel offered variety of world known brands and local designers. Many great restaurants and cafes to try variety of Italian food. The hotel was very clean, our room was very spacious with a balcony and huge windows. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. The decor is a bit dated, but they do a great job keeping everything sparkling clean. The breakfast was alright, it would be nice to order a few warm menu items and have more healthy options such as berries, quality granola and freshly squeezed juices, but knowing that Italians don’t eat breakfast what they offered was more than enough to load up on calories in the morning.

The hotel is very well located with major landmarks (Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain etc.) within walking distance and local train stations nearby. We also managed to walk to the Colosseum and Vatican City (c. 30 mins). The street has a number of lovely shops and cafes too. Staff were welcoming and pleasant. Being in the Annex building was fine for us. The room was quiet, dark, cool and had very comfortable beds giving us great sleep after long days of walking around Rome. Very happy with our choice

We loved our stay here. 40 minute walk to Colosseum, and 20/30 minute walk to Trevi Fountain, and Pantheon. Closer to The Spanish Steps. Very crowded even on off peak time though but hotel was amazing and included breakfast was a huge plus!

The 2 best things about this hotel is its location and the rooftop terrace. Located between Piazza di Popolo and The Spanish steps it is close to the famous shopping streets and the monuments are close by. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace which is also available for guest only use throughout the day. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. This is the second time we have stayed here and loved it

The hotel is in a fabulous area close to all the major Sites to visit, great restaurants and boutiques. Our room was large and very comfortable but on the 2nd floor and dark. The breakfast on the rooftop was great with good ingredients and great staff. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and the front desk allowed us to have a late ck out which was very nice.

Beautiful boutique hotel, the rooms are lovely and the staff attentive. A delicious and varied breakfast with Valerio and the team on the top floor, is a wonderful way to start the day. The location is fantastic too.

A perfect experience and stay for our honeymoon. We stood in a deluxe room and it was more than spacious enough. The place was extremely clean and the staff was super nice. The rooftop was a relaxing spot as well. It’s a little bit further from some of the tourist sites but regardless, I would stay here again when I return to Rome.

Baubino 181 was the perfect choice for our vacation in Rome. The staff was so friendly and gave the best recommendations for restaurants! The rooms were huge and the bathroom was amazing. Honestly the best shower I’ve ever had in a hotel. The rooftop bar was so adorable and not only had wonderful drinks but the best breakfast as well! Would definitely recommend anyone going to Rome to check this hotel out!
