Auberge Gisele's Inn is conveniently situated at the edge of Baddeck. Check-in was quick and easy and there was an elevator available for our room on the second floor. Their restaurant is open for both breakfast and dinner. Our room was clean and comfortable. Would recommend.

This property was awesome, and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. The grounds are beautiful, we had a wonderful bay view, and it was conveniently located to shops and restaurants. My only suggestion is if you need to use an elevator to access your room, make sure to include that when you make your reservation, because this property has 4 separate buildings, but only 1 of the buildings has an elevator in it. We would definitely stay here again.

This Inn overlooks the water in Baddeck. The property has many well-tended gardens and fountains. Several restaurants are within walking distance. Our room was large, with a sofa near the windows, end tables with lights on both sides of the bed, and a refrigerator and Keurig coffeemaker. A lobby on each floor has a microwave. This property has a main building with a restaurant, and several 3-story outbuildings, so it can host large tour groups. Spaces in the parking lot closest to our building are quite narrow; our Prius could barely fit between the lines. A pickup truck drove in and then drove away to park in a secondary lot. Overall, this is a lovely and convenient place to stay when you visit Baddeck.

Great location. They do receive quite a few tour busses so we skipped breakfast as it was a large crowd in the breakfast area. Good options in town also. Easy walk to main area. Under 10 minutes. I recommend it.

Excellent staff. I stayed in 2 different rooms. The second more expensive room was very nice with a fireplace. The only problem is that the fireplace is tricky to turn on. And, even though this is a large room with 2 queen beds the bathroom is very small with very little counter space. A bigger issue for me is that the building I am staying in that has the larger room has no elevator. I am 75 years old with bad knees so slugging heavy suitcases up a flight of stairs was not possible. The manager heard my story and immediately came to carry our bags up the stairs. He said when we are checking out to call him and he will take the bags to the car.

I booked this property for a work trip and it was a very good choice! The sheets were very clean and the bed is super comfortable. As someone with chronic pain, having a comfortable bed is so important so I was pleased with the support and comfort. We were given a free upgrade since the room we booked was unexpectedly still under construction. I appreciated the upgrade and thoughtfulness of the staff! Due to the construction and also time of year, we didn't have a chance to enjoy the restaurant. The view is beautiful though and the grounds are quite lovely! Loved the setup of the king room with the full kitchenette including fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Didn't know there was a fireplace but would've potentially used it if there was any firewood. Would definitely stay there again! However, some of the furniture was very stained to the point we didn't want to sit on the couch or arm chair. Also there were several bugs in the heater and a Japanese beetle in the bathroom. We did our best to get them outdoors and / or squash them with our shoes, but it would have been helpful for there to be supplies like a swatter in the room or for staff to ensure there weren't any bugs to begin with.

This hotel was on the older side and probably needs an overhaul. That being said, it was clean and the staff was good.There was a dripping noise in the ceiling coming from the room above that I told them about and they looked into it and said there was nothing they could do about it. They didn't offer to change our room or do any more follow through with my concern. Since we weren't in our room much, we just dealt with it. Great location in Baddeck and it was walkable into the town center.

Property had lots of character and you can’t beat the location. Can’t recommend the buffet breakfast for the price. The wall a/c unit was incredibly loud making it difficult to sleep with it on, but we needed to have it on as it couldn’t keep up.

Lovely view over Bras D'or lake. Dining on site after a long drive was most welcome. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms are very clean, but a little dated. Internet service was very slow....and one of the reasons for a 4 rather than 5 star rating.

The hotel has nice design, but the stay wasn’t very restful. The air conditioner was quite loud and turned on suddenly at night, the curtains offered little to no blackout, and the soundproofing was poor. I could hear footsteps and noise from other rooms. Overall, the place looks good but needs improvement to ensure a comfortable night’s sleep.

Overall, this hotel was a nice place to spend our 3-day stop in Baddeck, NS. The grounds are lovely, our room was very spacious and comfortable, the staff & service friendly and courteous. Most notable was the great job their housekeeping did to keep our room sparkling clean! If there was anything that should be considered for improvement, it would be the very poor reception the cable TV service had. Our room was not the only one noting this as our friend's room had the same issue. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay!

For a resort so large they need more than one person at the front desk ! If the phone rings they may get a line up waiting at the front desk. Also they have no luggage carriers or persons to help you with your luggage I have limited mobility which did not phase the person at the front desk I had 2 of their customers help me with my luggage. This was not a good first impression !

The beds are so comfortable. Flew in on the red eye and arrived in Baddeck early. Front desk allowed us to check in well before check in time. Awesome service and very accommodating

This is a large in with several options for stays. We chose a suite with a bedroom and sofa bed. It was very convenient, had a large bathroom and small table/kitchenette for dining (note: no real options for cooking other than microwave. It was quiet, and the grounds are lovely. (One caution: we booked three people in the room, but there were no pillows or blanket for the sofabed.) The inn is having a lot of trouble getting staff, so sometimes it is hard to get assistance. The staff they do have is fine. The town is pleasant to walk in, and the ferry service to the little park across the channel is very nice.

Well presented and clean property and rooms. I stayed here with guests for my Falls Colours tour. Great buffer breakfast. As a tour operator it is important to have a place that builds confidence when booking that your know will be an enjoyable stay. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Future tours will definitely have Auberge Gisele's Inn on the list of places for consideration. Would definitely recommend.

The Auberge fit the bill for what we were looking for on our trip around the Cabot trail. It was a great location just a short walk to the Restaraunt we chose for dinner. The staff was very friendly and I especially enjoyed a chat with the two chambermaids that popped by thinking we were gone. The price/benefit ratio was spot on given the location and time of year, but I say that because it was inexpensive, dated, clean, thin walled, friendly, basic, odor/fragrance free, had a coffee maker and fridge. It’s what I usually get when road tripping and popping in for a quick overnight. I would stay here again.

Great hotel just outside of the main walking area in Baddeck. The views from the property are great. They are only a 15 minutes walk to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum which felt great after a day in the car. Dining options are available at the hotel but plenty of other options within walking distance. Would come back again.

Good property with park like grounds. Rooms are clean. Toiletries and supplies minimal and miniature sizes, could be more generous. Breakfast for a charge leaves much to be desired. Cheap cafeteria quality, day old quality baking and basket of pre toasted cold bread. 1 watermelon fruit selection. They’d do better to up their game or not offer at all. Clearly a cash grab for hostage guests as there are no convenient options for guests in the morning ready to continue on with their journey. Staff training could be more professional. Seems like a family run operation with mandate to cut cost beyond reasonable.

Very convenient location and in a nice spot. The staff were efficient and friendly. The room was pretty good but dated. The beds were rock hard and the bathroom was not particularly clean. Missing tiles and the sink was ancient. We ate dinner at the restaurant which was excellent. Fantastic service, delicious fresh bread and massive portions.
