Great location, as long as you don’t have a car. There is no parking. Parking is 3 to 4 blocks away and has limited access and time to park.

The room was pleasant, bed was comfortable. The pictures of the rooftop area was deceiving as it was very crowded and full of smokers in the evening, hardly a relaxing spot for non smokers. Elevators do not go to the floors, but rather a half flight of stairs between the floors. Be prepared to carry suitcases.

The hotel was in a great location. However, the rooms didn’t have coffee pots or tea makers and were very dated. Do not stay on the fifth floor as you will be hearing the terrace chairs scraping on your head all day. At least they shut it down at 10 PM. Given the traffic up to the terrace., be prepared to walk the stairs or wait in a long queue. The air conditioning did not work so we had to sleep with the window open and deal with the bugs. We called the office they sent someone up and did not make any difference. In conclusion you have to trade the good location for a mediocre at best hotel. how they ever got 9+on hotels.com is beyond me.

Fantastic stay! Room is HUGE with an ensuite fit for a king. Has a soaker tub, a large shower and mood lighting. Lots of towels and robes were provided which was a nice surprise. A complimentary bar fridge with beer/coke zero/water which is refilled each day was also unexpected. If this wasn’t our first time in Munich I would’ve spent a lot more time in our room. A balcony if you want to get some fresh air is accessible too. Staff were friendly and helpful. The area is safe and close to main food areas and attractions. The only negatives are parking is a bit further away although you get a discount on the daily rate as a customer of the hotel, and there a half a flight of stairs from the elevator to the even numbered floors which can be difficult if you have large baggage to drag around. Love the hotel and would return here in a heartbeat.

Hotel, roof top bar and restaurant are all very charming, great drinks and delicious food. We had a delightful quaint top floor room, very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful in all areas. Very walkable to many restaurants, shopping and most Christmas Markets. Had an amazing stay!!

This place was great! VERY clean and VERY helpful/friendly staff. The beds were super comfortable and the room was restocked/refreshed everyday. I traveled with my husband and son. We enjoyed the breakfast 2xs while there- it was better than other places we ate. The customer service at the restaurant is iffy depending on the person there. Very close to the farmers market and Marianplatz. Room was a touch tiny- for 3ppl- but it was comfortable. Only complaint: The sliding glass bathroom door is a terrible idea-you can hear/see everything. We would definitely come back!!!

Excellent location. Very nice and accommodating staff. Stuff in the mini fridge was free and appreciated because the stores were closed and we desperately needed water. We had 4 people in the room so we needed at least 2 beds. There was a king and a pull out sleeper. The king was fine. The pull out was so hard and uncomfortable that I may have permanent hip damage! Lol. There was a lot of unnecessary furniture in the room. They should consider investing in a second bed instead. Overall would recommend.

Unlike in many other situations where the top floor would mean peace and quiet, the top floor of this hotel is directly below the terrace bar and is therefore plagued by the sounds of furniture scraping across the ceiling above. Additionally, the top floor hallway and upper floor stair wells are cloaked in cigarette stench from people coming and going from the terrace. Otherwise, the room was clean, and well updated, but i wouldn't stay here again.

Overall a great place to stay. Very well located in the city center so it's easy to walk to a ton of places. The only complaint we had was that the WiFi was really hit or miss. It worked for us about 20% of the time in our room. Worked better down in the restaurant. Would have loved to have a more stable connection for streaming, etc. Otherwise a nice hotel.

Large, clean room (Junior Suite/balcony). Large bathroom with separate toilet is very handy. FREE mini bar restocked daily with 3 bottles of water, 3 cokes, 3 Beck's beer and 3 non-alcoholic beer)!! Very nice estaurant below. Would definitely stay again.

Had a lovely 2-night stay. Great location. Staff was very nice and helpful. Sharing some detailed specifics below. Had a "VIP" room, but not sure what comes with that vs. non-VIP. Your experience may vary. * Quiet little street. Very easy access to the market, Marianplatz and the train * Got a VIP voucher for a German plate at the restaurant. It was very good. * Restaurant was nice. Very busy, including locals it seemed. * Room fridge had a beer, water, soda, and one other bottle. They were replenished every day. VIP thing? * My room was small, but very nice. I am 6'3" (195.5cm) and I was worried about the small bed. It fit perfectly fine. * Room was DARK with great shades. Woke up first morning and thought it was still night. * Hot shower with strong pressure * AC worked great. * Only popped into the rooftop bar for a bit, but it looked very fun. Less the beer crowd that is so fun at various places, and more of a younger set who were dressed well, drinking wine, etc.

Great location close to all the sites. Amazing staff and great customer service. I was especially impressed when I left my expensive headphones in the room and when I came back 2 days later they were in the lost and found. It really says a lot about the kind of staff here.

From the moment we booked, the service at Hotel Deutsch Eiche in Munich was exceptional. Even before check-in, Pavlo was in touch to help reserve parking and recommend restaurants and activities during the Christmas holidays when many places were closed. This hotel was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a medical issue on arrival and the reception could not have been more helpful and concerned. They assisted with where we should go and contacting transport to the local hospital. Thank you so much Hotel Deutsche Eiche we will forever remember your concern and hope to be back again someday under better circumstances.

The Hotel Deutsche Eiche was perfect for our small family for our visit to Munich. It was very conveniently located near the Viktualienmarkt. My stay at this hotel was perfect! Friendly staff at check-in, comfortable and very clean room for my stay. The bed was cozy and I appreciated the extra amenities like the mini bar and complimentary glass of Prosecco. Great location and great service! Walkable to major sites but not in the middle of too much busyness. Also has a great gelato place near it and various dining options, as well as a couple bookshops. Rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and kind. Only negative (minor) is there's not an easy place to drop off luggage on the street and you may have to go up or down a flight of stairs even if using the lift (but that can be common for hotels in the city). Overall, if I'm back in Munich, I would definitely stay there again.

It was very good. * Restaurant was nice. Very busy, including locals it seemed. * Room fridge had a beer, water, soda, and one other bottle. They were replenished every day. VIP thing? * My room was small, but very nice. I am 6'3" (195.5cm) and I was worried about the small bed. It fit perfectly fine. * Room was DARK with great shades. Woke up first morning and thought it was still night. * Hot shower with strong pressure * AC worked great. * Only popped into the rooftop bar for a bit, but it looked very fun. Less the beer crowd that is so fun at various places, and more of a younger set who were dressed well, drinking wine, etc.

We had a large and very comfortable room in this hotel, which is located very near the centre of the city. Excellent air-con and a wonderful bathroom with a very unusual sink - it was made of a translucent material and lit up from beneath. We ate at the hotel's restaurant and that was wonderful too. We would definitely stay there again.
