Country Hotel Takayama

Staff were very helpful. Washing machines onsite very handy. Convenience store just below the hotel. Parking lot is very difficult to find in the dark as not near the hotel. Room was ok (the smallest we stayed in on our trip). Breakfast was not very appetising.

接待服務流程親切、快速有效率，雖然設施較老舊，但都完善堪用 。中央空調系統在3月底入住時只有暖氣，但還好是可以關閉的，整晚都是微開窗透氣才不致悶熱 。有另外訂購自助早餐，用餐環境及餐點都是物超所值，推薦加購 。

酒店位置近高山老街，相當方便。而且酒店有便宜的車位提供。

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans cet hôtel, petit déjeuner très complet, parking à disposition qui permet d'explorer facilement la ville et mes temples.

ホテル設備があまり良く無い。

離車站很近很方便！附近也有便利商店跟一些當地食物。 房間只有中央空調，不能調冷暖有點可惜，總體而言還是不錯！

An old and bit run down property with rooms on the small side but I found the hotel comfortable and had everything I needed for a 2 night stay where I was out and about all day… just needed somewhere to put my head down at night. Noise from neighbouring rooms was easily heard at all hours. I slept with the window ajar for fresh and cool air. I’d stay there again if travelling by myself and budget was a factor.

It was the worst hotel of my life. The first room we got had a bathroom that was smelling like urine. We changed room , but the situation was not much better. The bathroom is disgusting. A bus station bathroom smells better than this hotels bathroom. The bed is very hard and uncomfortable. The pillow seems like there are rocks on it. The walls are dirty. The carpet is dirty. The room is super tiny. If you have luggage you will struggle to move around the room and to open doors. It was a nightmare. The city was basically fully booked and I had a short stay, otherwise I would have changed hotels. Very bad experience Avoid at all costs ! Really really bad and disgusting.

Great reception staff and daily cleaning

綺麗でお手頃な値段です。

The shower curtain was moldy and i had to ask for a new one. The staff was great and change it right away. The bldg. Is old and needs to be renovated. Do expect a lot from a low fee per night. Food was ok if you are not picky bec. It is a traditional japanese breakfast.

空調有待改善，因為係冬天所以淨係得暖氣，但係暖氣最低溫度都過熱瞓到成身汗，半夜成日都醒，（可能係中央暖氣或者冷氣冇得選擇），晚上只好關掉暖氣，淨係開空氣防濕機，不過間房就會變得好焗

Bed was too hard and bedding was not comfortable.

Property is a little dated and not very sound proof but location to the station is superb

Cant recommend it im sorry. It was cheap so i wasnt going to critisize the mattress that was genuinely almost as hard as the floor and had me worried about my back, but theres something wrong with the window seals because it was letting in a lot of air and it left the room absolutely freezing since it was 1-2 degrees outside at night my first night. They provided a yukata as nightware and i had to use it to try and block the draft. I was really lucky that id bought some warm clothes before checking in, because i had to sleep in them and my coat. I checked a window in the hall and it was the same. Also, i wouldnt pay for breakfast. I chose it originally as it was very cheap and seemed like a good idea, but theres very cheap options at the nearby convenience store (literally not a minute away) and i think a couple people may have gotten food poisoning from it. I cant confirm it but i had very little of the warm food options that first morning and at one point in the day i felt really sick. Then, in the early hours of the morning i heard at least 1 person vomiting in another room, then what seemed to be another person further down. Its a pretty big coincidence so it left me wondering if it was the food I feel bad critisising it because it was very low cost but i really would not go again. I can handle a harsh matress but a freezing room was depressing.

I stayed 6 nights. I've stayed at this hotel forbthe past 10 years. The location is excellent, opposite the tain & bus station. Staff are extremely helpful & they service room daily. The hotel is basic but has what you need I love it.

The hotel would simply ignore everything you request. I am a non-smoker and requested a non-smoking room and a parking spot upon my arrival a month ago, but then they just can’t care less. I also asked for another room key, and got rejected somehow. The room and the furniture are very old, positively thinking Japan things are really durable. I am a frequent Japan traveler and I guess this hotel gave the worst experience so far.

客室に入った瞬間から、湿布（サリチル酸メチル）のような強いにおいが充満していました。窓を開けて換気を行い、フロントにお願いして空気清浄機も用意していただきましたが、一晩経ってもにおいは完全には消えませんでした。 帰宅後に洗濯物を確認すると湿布のにおいが移っており、相当強いにおいだったと感じました。 フロントには部屋の変更もお願いしましたが、「満室のため難しい」との説明でした。ただし、当日の予約サイトでは「残り1室」と表示されており、その点も含めて疑問が残りました。 おそらく清掃時点でこのにおいには気付けたのではないかと思いますし、その時に対処して頂いたら解決できたかもしれません。 やむを得ずその部屋を使用するのであれば、事前に説明やお詫びがあってもよかったのではないでしょうか。 チェックアウト時にもスタッフからにおいに関する言及はなく、全体としてフォローや配慮が不足していると感じました。 なお、においの問題以外については、フロントの応対やその他のホテルサービスには特に不満はなく、通常どおり利用できました。

Location of the hotel is the best. Opposite the Nohi Bus Center, 100m away from the Train station. 150m away from the famous Hida Beef restaurant.

Country Hotel Takayama provides excellent customer services in both Japanese and English. Location is excellent and convenient as it is within couple minutes walking distance to both JR Takayama station and Nohi bus terminal.

朝食もついていたので、コスパ良かったです！

L’hébergement et très propre et le personnel à l’écoute. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est très copieux. L’emplacement est parfait, en face de la gare des bus.

Small rooms, but this was expected as per the description from Expedia. It would be right to have more than one suitcase in the room. Very convenient location literally right across from the main bus and train station. Lots of food options everywhere. The included breakfast was great.

This place was a good over night stay. I had accidentally booked a smoking room and was concerned because I am highly allergic to smoke. It turned out the room did not smell of smoke at all. The room was VERY small but I already was expecting that, so just be aware their rooms are small. The restaurant serves hida beef and it is amazing!

Steps from JR train and bus station. Super easy for day tripping. Free breakfast was super delicious (fish, pork, egg, rice, veggies, miso soup, croissants, jelly, apple juice, coffee, tea) the room is normal by Japanese standards but westerners may find it small. I don’t mind. I just need bed shower and toilet. The breakfast, location to transportation and price made this a great choice
