The owners make you feel at home, and were very friendly and hospitable. The house and rooms are very well kept and clean. They are pet friendly and are reasonably priced for this amenity. They have a nice sized gated dog park on the premise adding to the convenience. The complimentary breakfast was great and allowed us to meet the other guest and here about the history of the house and the city of Sumter.

1912 is a lovely home. Very easy to walk to the downtown area for dinner. Breakfast was exceptional. Large area in the backyard with a little dog park!

This was our first time staying at a BnB. We were pleasantly surprised. The house was so comfortable and dog friendly. Easy back stairs to let the dog out away from walking through the house. Tommy was very helpful and the breakfast was lovely. Only about 15 minutes from 95 and worth it rather than a hotel room along 95.

From the moment you approach 1912 B&B you are struck by its inherent charm and quintessential Southern style- feel transported to an earlier genteel time. Stayed in the “Romance Room” with its 400 sqft of space, king bed, heated bath room floor and towels, and wonderful shower head. Add to that the warmth, friendliness and comforting style of the host, and this is a “must stay” place when you’re traveling north or south on Route 95. Definitely worth the 20minutes needed to reach it from the highway. Easy walk into town for a variety of dining options. Enjoyed a great cooked breakfast in-house on beautiful floral china in the lovely dining room. My dog welcomed the chance to run around in the enclosed area next to the lovely garden. Looking forward to our next stay!

We were greeted by Tommy (one of the owners) at the front door when we arrived; he gave us a tour of the home, and I couldn’t believe how clean the property was. He did the cooking for breakfast, and everything was delicious! I would give this property a rating of 20 if it were available, and I will definitely stay here again if I will be coming back to Sumter!

The house is absolutely beautiful and Tom, the owner, is fabulous, making you feel welcome from the time you check in. All we had to do was call him and he responded to our request immediately. Rooms were immaculate and comfortable. Breakfast was made on site and was delicious with plenty of options. I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking for a wonderful experience at a reasonable price.

I can honestly say that this is by far the best service and courtesy that I’ve ever had. I enjoyed my stay sooooo much. This bed and breakfast is spotless. Tommy and Tracey are amazing!. As soon as you walk in the mansion they greet you with open arms just like family😊. The breakfast was delicious and they both told me about this wonderful home. I’ll be going back here for the rest of my stays in Sumter. The rooms are very quiet and their dog is so nice as the other staff members are also. I felt so relaxed and it was really hard to go. I have a L sore hip and Tommy carried my luggage up and down the flights of stairs and that was greatly appreciated😊. If I could give them 10 stars I would because they are the best of the best. Thanks so much!!!!.

Beautiful property. Friendly hosts. Heated floors in the Moroccan room was a very nice touch. Very clean and well presented. Absolutely adored my stay. Only thing of note is the room was on the second level, so lots of stairs (as you can imagine with such a large house). No problem for me. But, if you can’t do stairs, then this B&B isn’t for you unfortunately. Overall, one of the best stays I’ve ever had outside of my own home.

One of my favorite B&B experiences ever. Can't recommend Tommy and Tracey's place enough. I appreciated all of the amenities they had available to guests. I was in the blue room (with the non-attached private bathroom) but I didn't run into any issues with it; there is a separate key for it so you can keep it locked to stop others from using it if you feel you need to.

This was a great find. 1912 was within walking distance to historic downtown Sumter. Off you like history, you will love this bed and breakfast. The house itself is clean, and the furniture is designed to fit the time period this home was built. The bed was comfortable, and the heated floor ave towel rack was a nice surprise. My wife and I will definitely be staying here again.

This B&B was lovely. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! We stayed in the "Romance Room" which was very spacious with a comfortable memory foam memory mattress. Our bathroom even had a heated floor! Would definitely stay here again if ever in this area!

My husband and I along with our small dog sparky spent 2 nights here. The hosts were absolutely wonderful! Very friendly and fun to talk with. The house was kept to period. Beautiful. Our room, the romance suite was very nice. Very big with large bathroom. Breakfast was very nice. The area is close to town with lots of areas to walk our dog. We will definitely stay again!!!

We loved how flexible they were. We needed to leave early and they made our delicious breakfast earlier to accommodate us. It was an incredibly beautiful experience. The bed was the best we have ever slept in and the luxurious rain shower bath took it over the top. So many places to sit and relax, and the vintage furniture and decorations make you feel as if you are walking back in time. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Everything was great! The property itself is beautifully restored, capturing the elegance of a bygone age. The owners were delightful. Easy walking distance to downtown historic Sumpter, with all its restaurants. Definitely would stay again.

Beautiful Southern Victorian Home. Highly recommend.. alot of steps but what do you expect for this quality home.

Tracey greeted us at the door with chocolate chip cookies. What could be better? This is our first Bed & Breakfast experience. The home is beautiful and Tracey is personable, likeable and fun. The bed and pillows are comfortable. We highly recommend staying here!

The home is beautiful. Tracey and Tommy were great hosts, they made us feel as we were at home. Breakfast did not disappoint. They put a lot of care in your stay. We decided on a B&B instead of a hotel to try something different and very glad we did. We would recommend anyone to check out 1912 B&B when in the area.

So many places to sit and relax, and the vintage furniture and decorations make you feel as if you are walking back in time. Can’t recommend highly enough!
We loved how flexible they were. We needed to leave early and they made our delicious breakfast earlier to accommodate us. It was an incredibly beautiful experience. The bed was the best we have ever slept in and the luxurious rain shower bath took it over the top. So many places to sit and relax, and the vintage furniture and decorations make you feel as if you are walking back in time. Can’t recommend highly enough!

The host/hostess thought of everything. Was greeted at my car with help with my luggage and directions and tour of facility. Vegetarian accommodations. Could have a little more variety. But for me for the time everything was adequate. Thanks

I can honestly say that this is by far the best service and courtesy that I’ve ever had. I enjoyed my stay sooooo much. This bed and breakfast is spotless. Tommy and Tracey are amazing!. As soon as you walk in the mansion they greet you with open arms just like family😊. The breakfast was delicious and they both told me about this wonderful home. I’ll be going back here for the rest of my stays in Sumter. The rooms are very quiet and their dog is so nice as the other staff members are also. I felt so relaxed and it was really hard to go. I have a L sore hip and Tommy carried my luggage up and down the flights of stairs and that was greatly appreciated😊. If I could give them 10 stars I would because they are the best of the best. Thanks so much!!!!.

This was a great find. 1912 was within walking distance to historic downtown Sumter. Off you like history, you will love this bed and breakfast. The house itself is clean, and the furniture is designed to fit the time period this home was built. The bed was comfortable, and the heated floor ave towel rack was a nice surprise. My wife and I will definitely be staying here again.

From the moment you approach 1912 B&B you are struck by its inherent charm and quintessential Southern style- feel transported to an earlier genteel time. Stayed in the “Romance Room” with its 400 sqft of space, king bed, heated bath room floor and towels, and wonderful shower head. Add to that the warmth, friendliness and comforting style of the host, and this is a “must stay” place when you’re traveling north or south on Route 95. Definitely worth the 20minutes needed to reach it from the highway. Easy walk into town for a variety of dining options. Enjoyed a great cooked breakfast in-house on beautiful floral china in the lovely dining room. My dog welcomed the chance to run around in the enclosed area next to the lovely garden. Looking forward to our next stay!

My family had a great time staying at 1912 B&B. Tracey and Tom hosted us like family. Beautiful historic mansion. Amazing room. Super clean and super home-made breakfast by Tracey. The swan lake garden in town is also a must-visit place.

We were greeted by Tommy (one of the owners) at the front door when we arrived; he gave us a tour of the home, and I couldn’t believe how clean the property was. He did the cooking for breakfast, and everything was delicious! I would give this property a rating of 20 if it were available, and I will definitely stay here again if I will be coming back to Sumter!

The hosts are wonderful and really make you feel welcome. It's obvious they love being hosts and are very proud of their beautifully restored 1912 home. The decor was unique but also respectful of the early 20th century vintage of the house. We stayed in the blue room, which was the only room that doesn't have a connected bathroom. But the room has exclusive use of the bathroom down the hall which we could keep locked. The rooms are reasonably priced for all the amenities you get, including one of the best home-cooked breakfast spreads we've ever had: eggs, bacon, grits, cheese-covered hashbrowns, and incredibly perfect biscuits! They also provided fruits, yogurt, cereal, orange juice and coffee. We had a small coffee pot and mini fridge in our room, and there was a table in the hall with a microwave, condiments, and a plate of cookies! If you think there's nothing to do in Sumter - it is a small town. But we were surprised by a weekend full of activities including an Oktoberfest celebration just a few blocks away where there were restaurants, bakeries, shops and street entertainment. There was also an outdoor sports expo happening at the local Ace Hardware with music, kids activities, dog swimming demos, and meats being grilled to sample. We came to Sumter to meet family, and booked the 1912 B&B because it was not expensive and included breakfast. Our stay was the best part of the trip and we would definitely recommend it. If interested, ask about their ghosts!

Granted we only got to stay one night, I wish I could have stayed longer! This place was absolutely beautiful and I would visit Sumter, SC just to stay here. The property was beautiful and stunning. Each room has its own unique charm and style. Tracey, the hostess, served us a delicious breakfast the morning of our departure and shared the history of the building and the local community. She prepared an allergen free meal, specially for my partner and made her home feel so warm and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend to anyone traveling through the area or looking for a southern getaway.

We were happy we stopped in Sumter. Had great bbq at a fun place. The b & b was nice and we were glad we made the reservation. The bed was great. We stayed in the Blue room, so the bathroom was down the hall. It was fine. The shower was great. The breakfast was good but honestly we are not much in to socializing first thing in the morning.

Our stay at the 1912 B&B was fantastic! It far exceeded our expectations. The house is gorgeous and rich with architectural history, our room was spacious, clean, and beautiful. The owners are warm, welcoming, and gracious...absolutely lovely people. Breakfast was very nice and it was great to learn more history about the house. Definitely would love to visit when in the area again.

Everything about it was perfect. I think the spring room was the best which is the room I stayed. If you like late 1800s buildings in his dark area has beautiful homes and a very period downtown that is being refurbished. Definitely stay here.
