Went to Sale for the weekend and stayed 2 nights at The Matador Motel. Older style motel but spotlessly clean with all usual amenities. Great staff, knowledgeable and very friendly. Breakfast included and although only a Continental breakfast it was plentiful. The Motel is well situated to walk to the town centre, the Lake, The Wedge and the Art Gallery. Also free parking. Highly recommend.

Just a quick stopover between long drives. Clean and good sized room. Thoughtful snacks in our room for us. Late check in (7pm) so collected key from lockbox, no issues. There is a pool that we didn’t use and isn’t really advertised. Parking easy. Hotel is right in town with lots of eateries around for a quick dinner. Breakfast was basic but a lovely addition & free of charge too! East check out. We’d stay again if we were in the area!

This hotel is well located in Sale . The bed was very comfortable and good parking. On the downside the room was cold with the heating noisy and not very effective. The TV remote did not work with the television in the bedroom and there was a lot of mould on the ceiling in the bathroom.

A basic stay. Clean bedding and a good shower head. A noisy property. Some men argued late at night outside. It wasn’t a retreat for a quiet sleep. The traffic was very noisy, trucks got going at 5:30am. The floors weren’t properly clean. The eco friendly shampoos etc are to be applauded. There weren’t any frills, like chamomile tea for example. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was ok.

Clean, quiet and comfortable motel. A little bit dated in terms of the fittings, but plenty of power outlets for charging things, and good wifi speeds. Breakfast was basic (cereals, toast, juice, tea and coffee), but plentiful and a clean and spacious room to have it in. We were happy with the experience.

The Matador Motel is my motel of choice in Sale. I’ve stayed here a couple of times and both stays have been great. It’s quiet, very spacious, and excellent value for money. The rooms are clean and comfortable, making it an easy, stress-free stay. I’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

One of the best places we have stayed in. Beautifully renovated rooms. We had a king size bed and it was the best. The shower had the best pressure. Continental breakfast was included and it had almost everything from yogurts, fruits cereals, variety of breads and spreads, juices and a quality coffee pod machine. We would definitely go back and stay here again.
