The room was very run down with several lights not working and broken fixtures in the bathroom. Mine and two other cars had their windows smashed over night in the hotel car park. Two staff members were helpful in cleaning up the glass.

Room was big & clean & reasonably priced but outdated. Check in was easy & simple as I had prepaid. Air conditioner was so loud we couldn’t have it on at night in 36degrees. Road noise was terrible Corridors stunk of cigarette smoke. Other patrons noisy & playing music at 4am. Room are not in anyway soundproof. Pool was disgusting & couldn’t be used.

It was clean and fine for the night. Only two pillows provided for two ppl and no spares or additional blanket provided. The door knob/handle to the main hall accessing the rooms was broken. This meant it was wedged open and anyone from the street could walk in to the point of being right outside the room door. Didnt seem overly safe! Easy check in and out- didnt see or talk to any staff.

I felt like I was walking into a slasher film at this motel. The lock to get into the rear building was difficult to open, the bathroom had no toilet roll holder, gouges in the plaster and the door wouldn't close properly. There was no way to wash up the cups or cutlery we used. The aircon unit smelled musty when running and when we went to check out the pool, we decided not to risk the water because it didn't look very nice. The walls were very thin and we could hear the people in the room above us walking around and our neighbours having a conversation. The staff were friendly though, but thankfully we were busy all weekend and spent very little time in the room itself.

Property needs a new up date.nothing changed since was built. Pool was unusable, pool area neglected, building security inadequate -daytime door tired open with rope, night time door held open ajar with a brick. Spa had no plug.kitchen in room has no washing area had to use bathroom basin.

Rooms are good value for money/roomy and comfortable. I want to stay here again but, unfortunately (at time of writing), the car park is not secure. During my stay, three cars had their side-windows smashed-in during the early hours. The car park is located away from rooms so no one knew about crime until the morning. Local police investigated and commented that the area is problematic. Bell Motel can't be blamed for the actions of criminals but I hope they can consider introducing security measures for the car park that minimise the risks posed by its location away from rooms (e.g. motion-detection lights, boom gate, better cameras to record crime so prosecutions can occur). I really want to acknowledge the kind hotel staff who did their best to help the affected guests (e.g. they vacuumed out all the glass from our cars, cooperated with police investigation, etc.).

The bathroom had mold in the shower and around the internal and external corners of the shower basin. The bathroom didn't have hooks or towel rails to hang the bath towels. The entrance area around of the building where the hotel room was, smelt of urine. The door handle of the building - which was supposed to be for security - where the room was, was broken and virtually hanging of the door. The ironing board didn't have a cover. I received a call to confirm my arrival time and was told that because I hadn't arrived by 7pm my booking was cancelled.

Staff were excellent.. response to any Needs great.. including the handyman. Room had recently been upgraded with a few things needing to be finished. Cleaning is another matter. Skirting boards filthy as were new window frames. Mild around bottom of shower and between tiles in the shower. Ingrained dirt on the rear top of toilet system. Door to the room hard to open particularly for older people. Yard around and to the sides of the motel including car parkland pool need a clean up .. huge working bee required . Instructions on how to use tv etc would be convenient and a small map showing close coffee shops two within about 5 min walk and convenience store would be advantages for those guests with no car.

Great spacious room, sparking clean in a well maintained building. The bed was a bit on the springy side for me but comfortable nonetheless. Good shower & hotwater with eco-friendly soap, shampoo etc. Easy check-in and check-out. Nice to have the biscuits and a chocolate treat in the room, milk for the tea or coffee would have made it 100%

Our bathroom was dirty, the furniture was broken and light fitting loose . There was what looked like bodily Fluids on light switch . Smelt like cigarettes and did not the match the photos .. sheets & towels where clean .

In desperate need of an update and a decent clean. Shower was mouldy. Windows were filthy and difficult to open and close. Dining table was sticky. Nowhere to hang towels in bathroom. No plates, cutlery or milk provided. Staff were lovely and helpful however.

The carpet looked dirty and was in poor condition room service was very poor and I had to call the manager to get the room made and then it was badly done I actually saw a small roach on a bench where the microwave was housed if I had been a lady I would not have felt safe from a security point of view I will not be recommending it or would I every be staying there again

We stayed for 3 nights and found Bell Motel excellent value. We were on the ground floor in the back block and even though we were next door to a very busy main road, the room was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious. In all dealings with the staff, they were very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

The positive is that the property is close to lots of shopping and dining options on High Street and at Northland. Good parking on site. However, we did not have a comfortable night sleep due to traffic noise on busy Bell Street. Suggest booking a room on ground floor on opposite side of Bell Street. In addition, the double bed mattress/base was so bad that it made both of us rolled towards the middle all night.

Booked in for 3 nights. Arrived early evening, so no reception. Settled into the room to find no tea bags. Next morning I spoke to the reception person and asked for tea bags to be put into the room. I arrived back for the 2nd night to find no tea bags and nothing done to service the room. The next morning I hung the 'please service' sign on the door. On arriving back for the 3rd night, no tea bags and no service of the room. On leaving the next morning I called into reception to complain and the receptionist said "oh we forgot to service your room". No apology and a 'no care' attitude. I will never stay there again.

Upon arrival, our allocated room had not been cleaned or made up and it was too late in the day to do so. We were allocated to another room which was on the Bell Road side and very noisy. The bed in this room was also very uncomfortable. The next day, we were shown to our new room (different from previous check in room) but the TV didn't work and could not be fixed, so we were then moved to yet another room! 4 different room for a 4 night stay, having to pack and unpack all our luggage each time. Nor t happy but at least the staff was very helpful and we did get one night refund.

Exemplary customer service by Kaye in reception. Friendly, helpful and welcoming on my arrival. I was suffering with chronic back pain and fatigue when I arrived and Kaye ensured I was booked into a suitable room. It was perfect for my needs and felt very safe and secure, while traveling solo.

Wow, what a shame. Stayed here before clean, good service, free breakfast but now..omg so shocking. Arrived, put stuff in room and had to leave due to short check in hours. Went to hospital to support my daughter, returned to room, no towels and no way of getting them. Just 2 bath mats. Go to reception at 8 the following morning, no reception. Left a note asking for towels and advising i had none the previous evening. Got back from hospital, room uncleaned , left as it was. No towels nothing. Again no reception and no way of contacting anyone. Go to check out next morning, no reception until 8.20 seriously poor. So if you want Reception not there at advertised times. No instructions on how to use things. A rock hard bed, no towels and no way of getting them, no room cleaning, no breakfast, noisy rooms where you can hear everything said in the hallway (in particular guests returning at 11.30), road noise, noisy airconditioning and did i mention no towels. This is the place for you. Never again, so sad because the last time i stayed it was so good.

Rooms are good value for money/roomy and comfortable. I want to stay here again but, unfortunately (at time of writing), the car park is not secure. During my stay, three cars had their side-windows smashed-in during the early hours. The car park is located away from rooms so no one knew about crime until the morning. Local police investigated and commented that the area is problematic. Bell Motel can't be blamed for the actions of criminals but I hope they can consider introducing security measures for the car park that minimise the risks posed by its location away from rooms (e.g. motion-detection lights, boom gate, better cameras to record crime so prosecutions can occur). I really want to acknowledge the kind hotel staff who did their best to help the affected guests (e.g. they vacuumed out all the glass from our cars, cooperated with police investigation, etc.).

Older style hotel including old furniture. There were even old accessories boxed over when new fittings installed. It was clean and comfortable. Road noise was too noisy.

The positive is that the property is close to lots of shopping and dining options on High Street and at Northland. Good parking on site. However, we did not have a comfortable night sleep due to traffic noise on busy Bell Street. Suggest booking a room on ground floor on opposite side of Bell Street. In addition, the double bed mattress/base was so bad that it made both of us rolled towards the middle all night.

Bell Motel was conveniently located for my needs. The room had everything in it that I needed; the bed was comfortable, sheets and pillows of best quality. The window blind was a block out blind. I would have preferred a blind that I could have adjusted to give some light at the same time as privacy, not one that offered all or nothing. But it is adequate, new and clean. The room heating and cooling is a wall a/c. Works well but is noisy. Bathroom has a good shower, toilet and basin, towels are soft and good. Shampoo, conditioner and bodywash available, as well as hairdryer. There are coffee and tea making facilities in the room, a mini fridge with one small long life carton of milk. With two mugs on a microwave, packets of biscuits and small chocolates. You need to bring your own breakfast along or drive out to find a café before starting your day. The motel is convenient, clean and I would stay there again. Lady behind counter is friendly and competent.

The managers of this property were friendly, warm and helpful. I’d come back, just for their service. For the price, I felt the room was fair. Perfectly utilitarian for an overnight stay where I needed to be close to the hospitals. Amazing dining options in walking distance, particularly Shop Ramen.

Bed comfortable nice sheets and pillows. General condition of room and bathroom poor, cracked sink, black between tiles, toilet cistern cracked. Iron burn mark on carpet. No food/breakfast available. Only saw someone on reception when we arrived, otherwise deserted staff wise.

Beds were nice and comfortable with lovely clean sheets as one would expect. Very happy with the staff and the location. Excellent parking. The motel is getting dated and the carpet in our room looked in need of a good clean also the vent in the bathroom was very dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned for quite some time. Being on the wall it would be so easy to clean - not sure why someone just hasn't taken 5 minutes to clean it - it just makes you wonder if the rest of the room is just given a quick clean.
