The motel name is not Capri, the sign says SureStay, the sign is barely lit, needs some new bulbs, the place is undergoing renovations, the doors to the parking lot aren’t secure, anyone could walk in. We had the family room with 3 beds which was really great for 3 kids but no dishes or washing supplies for the kitchenette. Paid $135 for the night but if I had known what the property was like I wouldn’t have paid more than $90.

Stayed here and requested a room close to an exit as i have a dog. They put me near the exit however the keys did not work to get into that exit. So i had to walk around the building to the front entrance than all the way through the maze of this establishment. Went to the front desk 5 times cause my keys would not work in the room door. They never worked for the exit door. The rooms smelt like curry and body odor mixed. It was absolutely disgusting. The floor boards in the room were loose not sure if they are storing stuff under the floor boards. Front desk staff extremely rude and dont care about customer service or the fact that the keys dont work. The parking lot was a sking rink. Somone is going to slip and sue this place. But once again staff didnt care. There was also a pot hole in one of the parking stalls thats so big it would swallow a cars whole tire. Once again staff didnt care to block it off. WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. Place reminds me of a detention facility

You get what you pay for. Room was clean and bed was comfy… just very outdated. And if you are on the lower floor, it sounds like elephants are above you and you hear everyone going down the hallway above. If you share the hotel with work crews like we did, you will not be sleeping in if that is your plan. Otherwise the area was quiet, the parking lot a little bit treacherous due to some super deep potholes and curb that could be driven off when leaving the parking lot and entering the front street as it is not marked and blends in.

We had a pet friendly room and it was nice and clean. I liked the continental breakfast! Parking was a bit challenging with all the 18-wheelers, but there was ample room for everyone. The truck drivers were awake and making noise early (430am), so bring ear plugs. If you have a dog along with you, then hopefully your dog doesn't easily bark at noises.

Construction debris in the hallway. A pail of something toxic with warning symbols next to our door. Holes in our walls that were poorly patched and unpainted. Back exit was wide open through construction area. Front desk staff was also trying to stock breakfast, which meant that breakfast didn’t get stocked. We had originally planned to stay there again on our return and decided to cancel. Baseboards missing in our room. Dirty handprints on the wall. Some of the towels were dirty. Need I continue? I think you get the message. If you ever wondered what it would be like to work on a rig and stay in camp, check this place out.

I have been staying at this hotek for over 18 years on business. I have seen it go down hill the past couple of years. This stay i had to change rooms due to bed bugs in the room they gave me. I will not be staying here again.

I almost never write reviews, but I feel I have to for this property. The property is currently being renovated and I think there is a name change as the sign out front did not read Capri motor inn. I understand that there would be renovation equipment in the hallways in the stairwells, but the room itself was quite dirty, and certain things like the screen on the window was not working. The worst thing about this motel was that I noticed some itchy bumps appear on my arms, neck and shoulders the evening after my first night that began to get much more itchy the next day. It is a parent that this place has bedbugs. I can’t seem to submit photos of the bedbug bites on this site. Will need to disinfect my entire luggage when I get home.

One bed sheet had a huge stain on it and there was visible vomit on the wall in 3 places. We asked them to switch rooms or fix or clean it and the refused to do both. We have stayed in many places and this was the worst experience by far...

The room was very stinky when we came in, we have to ask the reception for a deodorizer. Carpets in the hallway are terrible they smell bad and very filthy. The bathroom we have in room 207 does have a broken shower knob, so we couldn't even use the shower. And when I clean up our stuff before we check-out and pull out the beddings, i noted a yellow staining that looks like from a feces stain that looks like it didn't came out from there washing maybe. It was gross. I can't imagine sleeping all night not knowing that someone had poop on that bed sheets i sleep overnight. This hotel shouldn't be using those sheets if there are stains from bodily fluids,it is a health hazard.

The toilet paper holder fell off when touched. The towel bar fell off when touched. The coffee maker was missing parts so could not be used to make coffee. The TV did not work as not connected to anything. The continental breakfast had hard boiled eggs at room temperature, not on ice as they should be kept. They people we were traveling with had no pillows in there room. No TV at all in the room. A light hanging by wires. Yes the hotel was under renovation but they should not have been accepting guest as they were clearly not ready to properly have people staying there

Motel should not be open, it’s an active renovation / construction site with debris in the hallway and rooms. This could not meet fire code. The only furniture in the room was a bed, cleanliness was marginal, carpet was filthy, towels were stained. Walls were half painted and there were electrical wires on the floor. When I arrived, and asked to check-in, I was told I couldn't check-in until 3PM, it was 2:05 or so. The clerk said I could check-in if I paid an additional fee. When I said I'd just come back, he said never mind, I have a room. I actually liked the size of the room, the layout and spaciousness were good, and it had a microwave. The shower had controls to handle volume and temp separately. However, there were no face towels, and the fridge wasn't cold (which seems to be a common problem). The sheets were also scratchy, I wondered how well they washed them. The worst thing was the WiFi. It started off slow, but then would fade in and out. After dinner, I wanted to write a review as the food was great, but couldn't do it as the WiFi just faded out. (Telly's Grill is great!) It just wasn't a great experience here.

When i checked into my room furniture was missing, the walls were half painted, and there were no covers on the oultets. I had no phone, no bedside table, no lamps, no garbage can or recycling. When i asked them to fix the issue i was met with pushback and lack of willingness to help. Through our entire stay the place was naoisy with renovation noise and the halleays were crowded with reno supplies and difficult to walk down.

Me and my daughter checked in (obviously having requested 2 beds) Argued with me that I didn’t request that. Had to get out my Expedia app and show her myself… eventually couldn’t argue with me… gave us a room… we had to walk through an unsafe construction zone… got to room.. and it was occupied…. Had to go back down .. wait for another room… eventually got one but 2 smaller beds than I paid for … loud construction first thing in the morning

We had booked 2 queen beds, upon arrival we went to check in and were told two doubles or come back at 3 and get two queens. So we went back at 3 and were told yes two queens until payment was completed then they said two doubles. So we asked for a refund and was told only 1 night out of two would be refunded. But I wasn't ok with that being lied too twice. Eventually we were given a full refund and then booked a beautiful suite elsewhere.

I would have rated 4 stars because of getting a great rate, great coffee, great parking, and acceptable level of shabbiness relative to price. However, an extra charge appeared on my visa statement from Capri and I was unable to have it resolved through the hotel. The first day that I reported the unexplained charge via telephone, no response. Second day, I spoke to the manager, emailed him as instructed, confirmed my phone number, and he said he would respond within hours. No response in 24 hours. Check in took longer than an hour. Lobby and hallways a mess with renovations and no cleaning done. Same mess at heck in was there at checkout and more. Room was open when entering after check in. Painters tape everywhere. Someone’s lunch was left in the room. Credit card machine did not work. Needed a walker accessible room but the hall was littered with dry clothes, painting supplies and other renovation material. Very noisy from renovations ongoing at all hours. Very disappointing stay. 5 nights of very restless sleep and days filled with worry if my room would be entered due to doors being left open for renovations. Garbage strewn outside front door and never picked up. Worst hotel experience ever.

The motel name is not Capri, the sign says SureStay, the sign is barely lit, needs some new bulbs, the place is undergoing renovations, the doors to the parking lot aren’t secure, anyone could walk in. We had the family room with 3 beds which was really great for 3 kids but no dishes or washing supplies for the kitchenette. Paid $135 for the night but if I had known what the property was like I wouldn’t have paid more than $90.

I stopped here for one night and decided to stay here for the rest of the 10 days I need to be in Smithers. The manager kindly found me another room more suitable for a longer stay. Breakfast is nice too. Everything clean, quiet, and comfortable. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores, Main Street, all very walkable from the Capri.

Construction debris in the hallway. A pail of something toxic with warning symbols next to our door. Holes in our walls that were poorly patched and unpainted. Back exit was wide open through construction area. Front desk staff was also trying to stock breakfast, which meant that breakfast didn’t get stocked. We had originally planned to stay there again on our return and decided to cancel. Baseboards missing in our room. Dirty handprints on the wall. Some of the towels were dirty. Need I continue? I think you get the message. If you ever wondered what it would be like to work on a rig and stay in camp, check this place out.

The toilet paper holder fell off when touched. The towel bar fell off when touched. The coffee maker was missing parts so could not be used to make coffee. The TV did not work as not connected to anything. The continental breakfast had hard boiled eggs at room temperature, not on ice as they should be kept. They people we were traveling with had no pillows in there room. No TV at all in the room. A light hanging by wires. Yes the hotel was under renovation but they should not have been accepting guest as they were clearly not ready to properly have people staying there

Overall it wasn’t too bad but It’s undergoing renovations and it’s quite filthy and unsafe at the moment. We kept scraping ourselves from the undone panelling along around the floor and metal popping out of the bed base. The breakfast was nice and the staff was friendly.

Location is good, walking distance to town. Continental breakfast is really bad, not many options, didn’t appear to be very clean. Some days there was toast but nothing to put on it. No fresh fruit. There was a package of oatmeal one day then never saw that again. I guess they don’t make up the room during your stay unless you ask them to. I could go on but I think you get the point.
