Stairs are steep and narrow step- kind of treacherous. Otherwise beautiful views and great stay. No breakfast as marketed on trip adviser.

The view from property is fantastic. Parking very limited. And property getting older and needs outside work.

Aged place for sure, the surface wiring additions make it look terrible, but all in all very clean and well cared for for it's age. Comfy beds, good internet, excellent staff. The resaurant and bar are closed with no sign of them opening soon. This was our biggest letdown and the reason we chose this location.

Staff were great and the restaurant has some meals and Bubble Tea. The views from the room had an amazing view, Something that you don’t get to see everyday that you wake up. Beds were clean and comfy. Bathroom was clean and had loaded with toiletries, towels. Hot water works great. Appliances were quite old but was fully functional. Parking was limited yet only for the guests. Surrounding had bunch of good dining options and some convenience stores.

The rooms needed better cleaning. There were bugs that looked like ticks in the bathroom. The toilet ran a lot as well. Towels were very worn and the shower curtain had old hard water stains. The screen on the screen door to the balcony was ripped off. The ad said there was a restaurant and pub attached but we were told on arrival that it had been shut down years ago. The only good thing was the view.

Not As Advertised – A Disappointing Stay Our experience at the Rocky Mountain Spring Lodge did not align with the ratings or descriptions we found online. The property is significantly older and more run-down than photos or reviews on sites like Expedia had led us to believe. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room left a lot to be desired. We found bugs on one of the beds and in the bathroom, a towel had visible makeup stains, and there was leftover food in the freeze, raising serious concerns about the overall hygiene of the space. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were poor quality. Basic amenities were lacking as well; there were no proper cups for coffee or other beverage; only small paper water cups. There were not standard toiletries either. Outside the room, the property also seemed neglected. A recycling bin near the entrance appeared to double as a general dumping area, and at one point it was either tipped over or rummaged through, leaving trash scattered all over the walkway. The advertised on-site dining. The website and third-party listings mentioned a lounge and restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In reality, the only option available was a Hot Pot restaurant open from 5–9 PM. This should be clearly stated on all booking platforms, as we were expecting a standard restaurant with more familiar offerings. Overall, we felt misled by the online representation of the property. For the price we paid, the experience was disappointing.

The only good thing about the hotel is its view, very nice. The hotel is very old and a little dirty. There was no soap or conditioner, the shower very old. There is a restaurant in the basement, but the only option they give us is to pay $35 for Asian buffet. I think it is too expensive.

Balcony door did not lock . Room was not secure . Bathroom door did not close properly. Parking was terrible. Came in later at night and had to park on the road and walk.

This place has so many bugs in the room and the bathroom was dirty and had no soap in dispensers. The one positive was the water pressure in the shower, too bad the shower head was at 4’8”.

If you’re looking for an authentic wilderness survival experience without leaving the comfort of a motel bed, this is the place for you. Both beds came pre-seasoned with mystery hairs and questionable stains. The pillows were a lovely shade of “used mascara and questionable yellow splotches” and my request for extras was completely ignored.. which in hindsight was probably a blessing. Bugs were included free of charge, and not the small, ignorable kind either. The bathroom? The door didn’t close, the tub had more mold than grout, and we were greeted by someone else’s half-used toiletries in the drawers (thanks, previous guest, for your generous donation). The freezer was frozen on the outside, and the bathroom ceiling joined the tub in a moldy duet. The balcony offered a gorgeous mountain view… until the MASSIVE spiders made it clear they had the best claim to it. This place could honestly be something special. the location is beautiful. But until Rocky Mountain Spring Lodge invests in bleach, bug control, and maybe a bonfire for their current bedding, I’d recommend admiring the scenery from literally anywhere else.

The place wasn't kept up. The tub had lots of hair coming out of the drain. There was no one at the counter when we were checking out. Overall for the price it was not worth it. The view was nice.

Our room had so many bugs we were pretty much killing bugs the entire weekend. We couldn’t enjoy the balcony because there would be a lot of bugs and the furniture was really worn down. The balcony floor was covered with a dirty carpet.

It was fine for a night. Some beetles in the bathroom, but expected in an old building. Beds were comfy. The rooms have been renovated, but the entire building could use a complete overhaul.

The room was absolutely filthy.Had 2 beds.Both beds had dirty sheets on them.1 of them actually had crusty discharge at the top of the sheet.Complained and had room switched.This room was just as filthy.Sheets were thin and stained.Bathroom had orange mold on shower curtain and around the tub.Tub had dark ring around it.The furniture in the room was broken or missing parts.The staff were not around and when asked for clean towels,they were putout.The towels were see through and yellow.The bathroom had 1 partially used roll of toilet paper and again had problems with staff to get another roll.The room had extension cords plugged into every outlet.The bedside lamp and clock were in one extension cord that was plugged in the wall by another extension cord with a lamp and the airconditioner.Could not go out on balcony as it leaned downwards.The room was on the 2nd floor accessable by the outside.The structure of the walkway also leaned downwards.The images on the website are deceiving and incorrect.The image of it looking like a Swiss Chalet is the other hotel.The stay in this hotel was an absolute disaster and the price was a ripoff.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.It is absolutely disgusting.The BC Health and Safety should be doing a thorough investigation into the hygiene and safety of this hotel from hell.

The rooms were dirty, there was nobody at the front desk ever

I was told there was cable, but it probably wouldn't work in our room. Indeed, the TV did not receive signal. Wifi was weak. Under the bed were dust balls and food remnants. The bathrrom baseboards and door were very dirty. The sink had troubles draining and needed to be unplugged. The curtain was coming off the rod and the room smelled bad. Both duvets had little blood stains.

There's no deadbolt on the room door and the balcony door and screen were damaged making it impossible to lock the sliding door to the balcony. Those are my major objections to the ppace. Overall, a decent, night's stay. The room was huge but the way it was layed out was backwards in my mind. The living area was at the far side so if you have guests they need to pass through the sleeping area. The balcony had a great view. The two chairs were comfortable enough. The AC is a standard window unit. There's nothing within walking distance except the hot pot restaurant on site.

Rooms were clean but air condition was too small .especially in bedroom area not enough cooling and there was issue in bathroom as well .Water was coming either too hot and then all of the sudden too cold .

Lacking comfort -- although everything is there! Noise insulation between units is extremely poor -- so prepare to share with your neighbours, However, you cannot beat the views -- spectacular!

The view is fantastic. The patio door handle was broken and couldn’t lock it. There was dust bunnies behind couch and along floor and wall edges.

Everything electrical was run off extension cords, could only have one appliance plugged in at a time (fridge, microwave or coffee pot). I would question the road to the hotel in the winter, basically one way traffic, but very quiet and secluded. Felt very safe, even though windows didn’t lock. No one cleaned during our stay which I was okay with but had to go request extra condiments for our coffee and toilet paper for our room.

The property was adequate at best. Not as the property was advertised. And certainly not worth the price advertised. Staff checked us in with auto pilot responses. Efficient but not friendly. The accommodation was surface clean at best. Dirty mugs and dead flies found. This place is in definite need of some repairs and updating. Windows and sliding glass door was not able to lock. Walls were paper thin and you could hear everything from guests around you. The bed was a very poor quality and very lumpy. The view was the highlight due to location, but I would not return as a guest or recommend it.

The property description said that the front desk was open until 10pm, but this was not true. I received a phone call from the front desk staff at 8:30pm, asking when I'd be arriving because he wanted to go home. Had I known that it would be an inconvenience for me to stay at this hotel, I'd have chosen another. The view was beautiful, but I'm glad I paid less than $100 because it was all very bare bones. No plastic cups, no coffee maker, no ice bucket. Nowhere to get ice or vending. The restaurant was closed. If I'd known all of this stuff, I'd have chosen another place to stay. Fortunately, I got a good rate, but if it had been more than $100, I'd have been pretty irritated with the lack of amenities. I didn't feel welcome, or at all appreciated.

The hotel was nice enough, great view. Wasn’t the cleanest as there was months of built up dust behind the toilet. View was spectacular. What ruined it for me was the hotel changed computer services, and I ended up being double charged for my bookings. The hotel staff weren’t helpful, and simply said it was the computer’s fault, and told me to call the rcmp and lock my credit card. Which wasn’t helpful when I had already paid for my stays before staying, and was charged when I checked in. It seemed really sketchy, and I feel thankful I kept my receipts so I can go resolve this issue with my bank. If you book with this place, check your statements, do not pre pay for your stay, or honestly save yourself the headache and don’t stay here at all.

Unfortunately, a beautiful hotel turned out to be a horrible stay. I was charged for this stay before arriving to the hotel, and then charged again once I checked in because their “computer system changed” I did not receive a refund for my original booking although having proof. I was told I would automatically receive a refund, which I did not. The management was also extremely unhelpful… saying to lock my credit card or call the RCMP. This is unbelievable and I’m now attempting to deal with this through hotels.com as well as my bank because they chose to double charge me almost $1000.

Yue, the lady working called me to make arrangements for my late check in before she closed. Very helpful, very nice staff.

Had a late check-in (10:30 p.m.) no lights were on in or around property. Lobby to hotel was locked and dark. Had to call the hotel to let them know that we needed to check-in. Staff person came (felt as though we woke them up.) Had a rushed check-in, no info given about hotel, i.e. no wi-fi password, given a key for room however the key didn't work in the doorknob and had to fiddle to get it to finally open the door. Some lights inside did not work (bulbs burnt out,) bed had two very flat pillows and extra pillows did not have pillowcases on them, no tissue paper, towels were old and ratty. At check-out, brought key to drop off, and again, lobby was dark and no one there to check you out. Would never recommend this place.

Upon my late arrival, I encountered some difficulties with my network connection. However, the staff kindly waited for me until after midnight. The lady who assisted me with check-in was exceptionally pleasant and welcoming. I experienced a moment of confusion regarding the two adjacent buildings, as I was unsure which one housed my reservation. Nevertheless, the room was delightful, boasting cleanliness, ample space, and a scenic mountain view. My only suggestion would be to consider providing glass or ceramic mugs for coffee instead of plastic cups.

Scenic view

This is an older property which could use some modern renovations. Having said that, it is everything you need with a decent bed, shower and tub. I appreciate having a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. A huge plus is the balcony with an exceptional view of the valley and distant mountains, and being 5 minutes away from the hot springs, I highly recommend starting your day with a plunge when it’s uncrowded.

There wasn't even any staff there, you just call them on the phone and pick a key out of the box. The whole place is filthy and infested with bugs. The only way up to the hotel is a dangerous road and it's a difficult walk into town.

The location of the property is excellent! Up high and able to see the town from the balcony. Affordable prices & dog friendly also.

All of the advertisements for this hotel, including the hotels own website, state that breakfast is included. In fact, there is no breakfast available at this hotel, at all. False Advertising.

We have stayed here in the past. The first time we stayed, there was hot breakfast (pancakes, hashbrown patties and i think eggs and bacon?)included in the lobby, the next 2 times there was cold breakfast(yogurt, fruit, muffins, juice etc)available to take back to your room. This time there was only coffee and only on the 2nd morning. That part was a let down but the overall cost for a pet friendly room was still quite good.

I booked this particular place because on google it showed picture of the room and the view. I picked this place because it also said that it had a restaurant and lounge and breakfast. The room was nice and the restaurant has been closed for a while and the breakfast comes in a bag.
