aletto Hotel Kudamm

The hotel itself is not that bad, and it located in the center (almost) of (West) Berlin. The staff, however, was below par: unfriendly, unaccomodating, and not very helpful. I will certainly not stay there again next time I am in Berlin.

Prime location and price for the room is really good, which make up for the downsizes. Room is fine, modern interior. It’s not that noisy despite what others say, but a lot of young people live there (because it’s cheap) and have fun on grund floor by the bar and rest area, but that just make the place vibrant. Not a lot space to have clothes unfolded, only one chair and desk in a room for six (why young people might are out of the rooms). Don’t take the rooms .01 on each floor as they are right up an elevator shaft, it run a lot. Their breakfast “buffet” is pricey compared to the quality and variety offered and the space is limited, we waited one day 15 min with kids to have seats. Remember to order breakfast the day before!

Convenient location with easy access to the zoo (which is a fantastic day out) and the train station. Friendly staff on reception. Our family room was comfortable and an adequate size for the 4 of us. Unfortunately, our shower had a blocked drain which smelt terrible. We reported this on several occasions but it did not get looked at. We appreciate that the hotel was fully booked and so it wasn't possible for us to move to a different room, and we were given a voucher for 4 x free drinks as a goodwill gesture, but it did spoil our enjoyment. Additionally, our room wasn't cleaned once in our 3 night stay.

Hotel was spotless, room was spacious, beds were comfortable and the shower was great too. The staff were very friendly and helpful, in particular Ahmed, who brought our drinks to the table 👍😀

Room clean. Very basic and small, glad we didnt have suitcases as floorspace was tight. Had a problem with heating in our room. Young gentleman on reception was very helpful, tried to fix it, couldnt, but moved us to another room. Located close to Zoo to give you idea of location.
