I booked 1 room in Hotel Sonnenhof on 16th February, via Hotels.com, for a stay commencing on 28th May. Hotel sent me a message on 27th May that I was not in Hotel Sonnenhof in Timelkam, but at an apartment in Lenzing, 4.5km further away. No pre-warning was given, no rationale for the change in location, no option to cancel or reduction in rate was offered. I was very upset when I received the message on 27th May (the day before I was due to stay at the hotel). It was really inconvenient to be in a different location from my friend, and required that I drive back and forth from Timelkam to Lenzing multiple times. As I was only informed the day before the stay was due to start, I had no option to cancel and rebook elsewhere as nothing else was available. In addition, the apartment was in a poor location, not of a good quality, and the kitchen crockery was incomplete. The hotel reception was very slow to respond to communication, and only available in the mornings. Do not stay here - very poor service.

Es tut einem in der Seele weh eine mediokre Bewertung zu schreiben, wenn sich ein Team so viel Mühe gibt, aber leider geht es hier nicht anders, denn ich habe letzte Nacht (in diesem Hotel) kein Auge zugemacht. Das Hotel ist wunderhübsch, sauber, ordentlich, und das Team gibt sich sehr viel Mühe. Wenn nur die Bahnlinie direkt hinter dem Hotel nicht wäre! Trotz Fenster bester Schallschutzklasse fühlt es sich so an, als wenn die Züge mitten durchs Zimmer fahren. Durch den unbeschrankten Bahnübergang keine 50 Meter entfernt müssen diese zudem auch noch Schallsignale geben, zur Sicherheit, und das wird nur zwischen 24 h und 4 h morgens abgestellt. Trotz des wirklich schönen hotels, mit freundlichem Personal und wunderbarem Frühstücksbuffet: An Schlaf war für mich letzte Nacht dort nicht zu denken, leider. Dennoch Kompliment an das Team, aber für mich wiegt deren Einsatz dieses eklatanten Nachteil leider nicht auf.
