The only thing we didn’t like is the fact that there are many stairs and when you are carrying several bags that are heavy, it is quite tedious

This is not a four star property : Internet not working except the lobby area, room service out of most items on menu, air conditioning noisy, bedding quite uncomfortable, Shower pressure very slow, 2 pool chairs for 100 guests lol !! When i asked to speak to a manger, then i am told there is none. That explains everything. This a luxury hostel with south african service, slow, unefficient, not ready, and poorly trained. This property is combination of several buildings and is a real maze at night. No elevator. Good for a one night stay.

A quaint hotel just in the suburbs of Sandton. Very welcoming and inviting and the staff made you feel at home immediately. The shuttle was very useful and even better it was at no additional cost

Fint, rent og flot sted og kunne sagtens finde på at komme igen, især prisen taget i betragtning. Dog: Værelserne kunne virke lidt trætte, herunder aircondition, som larmede pga alderdom og som ikke kunne indstilles til andet end fuld kraft eller ingen. Meget simpelt træningslokale og shuttlebus var ofte ikke tilgængelig. Men som sagt, ud fra den pris vi betalte, var det pengene værd.

Overall ok. Noticed black scum marks in bathroom and not well maintained. Why wake up people at 8am to collect towels . Ask to leave them outside upon checkk instead. I ordered an old fashioned in the lounge and i was served a gin tonic like i did the day before. If the waiter had written the order then i would not have happened. Where is the training?

We were pretty disappointed. First, our non-smoking room smelled like smoke. I would have thought they would recognize this and at least air it out before putting guests in. Second, the safe didn't work. I called initially and was told maintenance left after10pm. Next morning I called back. They said they would come. Next afternoon I checked in at the front desk. They told me it was fixed, but it wasn't. I reported back it didn't work, but it never was fixed. The hair dryer cord was drilled through a drawer and was supposed to plugged into an outlet which had been ripped out of the wall. The only way to use the hair dryer was to take the drawer to another part of the room where there was a working plug. Finally it was Saturday night and there was a party in the ballroom. I would have thought they would have stopped the music at a reasonable time like 10pm but it was still blasting when we went to sleep around 10:30.

I stay at The Quatermain Hotel whenever I am in Johannesburg on business and have been doing so since 2015. It is central, easy access to Sandton CBD, the motorway as well as a variety of shops and restaurants. The staff are always friendly and the hotel is always clean. One of the great hotels.

havia solicitado que me buscassem no aeroporto e mesmo recebendo a confirmação do hotel, ninguem apareceu.. quando cheguei no hotel e comuniquei o fato a recepcionista me disse que o hotel estava cheio (??). o quarto é confortável e o hotel muito bonito mas me colocaram no último bloco no terceiro andar mesmo sabendo que sairia no dia seguinte as 6 da manha. o quarto nao tinha wifi, coisa que não surpreendeu a recepcionista e me deixou bem chateada , pois tive que resolver meus problemas na recepção onde o wifi pegava. o hotel nao é ruim mas precisa melhorar muito o atendimento aos seus hospedes
