The property is very nice. Rooms are generous and clean. Wonderful views. My issue is with the food quality at the snug pub. The last few times I’ve travelled here food was mediocre- not what you would expect from a property like this. Pre pandemic it was great! Faro has great reviews locally, but I have not personally tried it. Mineral pools are a nice touch. New sauna is fantastic.

This is my fourth time staying at the hotel. Not happy that the spa was flooded and only one hot tub was operational. If I would’ve known that, I would’ve booked somewhere else. Also, for the first time the Internet access in the room was terrible. We did have it fixed once, but it still didn’t work very well. Not acceptable at these prices

Wonderful spa amenities but they are very popular. Lounge chairs fill up fast, so don’t expect to be able to head to the pool anytime you want. Only drawback were the dining options. Service at the Snug was slow and mistakes were made both for dinner and breakfast. Just plan on eating out in town.

our stay was amazing except I didn’t know you need to put your name down for the pool lounge chairs. I was really disappointed when I showed up. I had to wait a few hours just to lay down on the lawn chair. you have to come in person to put your name down nothing over the phone.

Beautiful location. Balcony had a wonderful view and , as a guest, you can use the mineral pools which is lovely. The spa was closed due to a storm/damage so we missed the sauna and use of the changerooms but in was still great. The room itself is very comfortable and had a huge bathroom. The only downside was the fitness room. It is advertised as a "boutique fitness studio" but its actually just an hotel room, with a few basic machines and weights. The yoga mats were really not in great condition. This can be improve 100%

This hotel is amazing! I cannot decide what my most favorite part was because I loved everything about it. The view from our room was incredible. My bed was so comfortable. They thought of everything in the bathroom, the toiletries smelled so fresh and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I loved the hot springs pool, the temperature was perfect!

We love this place and have visited at least 8 times. Only complaint/issue this visit was the housecoats the hotel provides. There was a used bandaid stuck to the fabric in one of the pockets. Bit un-nerving.

We spent three nights here and enjoyed the nicely appointed room with its kitchenette, amply-sized bathtub and shower. The bed was very comfortable, the lobby area was lovely and we had great dinner and breakfast meals at the restaurant, and enjoyed the cafe as well. The mineral pool was delightful, we spent hours there in multiple mornings, and we sat on deck chairs facing the ocean to enjoy the air and the view. The sauna and hot tub were also real treats—we met a local mom in the sauna playing hookie from her kids, a local who knew the value of a good local spa resource (non-hotel guests pay a fee for a visit). They keep the ice water dispenser full, offer spare towels, and can bring food/drink orders to your deck chair. I also got a great massage—note for Americans, booking a massage with someone who doesn’t have the PMT credential is fine unless you have an injury that requires what we call a physical therapist. Their non-PMT therapists are trained massage therapists! The reception agent and concierge were friendly and very helpful as well. Parking in the garage was easy too.

Just ok, I won't go back. One example - The walls are very thin. For example, I was woken up by a snoring guest in a different room. I brought it to the attention of the concierge / front desk (as well as the fact that I had been woken up by the snoring at 3am and it was so loud and persistent I couldn't get back to sleep) and they agreed that was brutal but offered no alternatives or help.

Our stay at The Oak Bay Beach Hotel was wonderful! Our room was beautiful with a garden view, had a patio and twinkling lights on the garden plants outside during the night hours. The room was exceptionally clean and the staff were friendly, accommodating and kind. The bed was comfortable in our hotel room and we were pleasantly surprised that we were able to control the temperature in our room to make it comfortable when we were sleeping. A lot of hotels don't allow the room to go below 67° and our room was able to be adjusted down to 60° which we like to be cool and comfortable when sleeping. We greatly appreciated this feature at the hotel. The mineral pools and hot tubs were beautiful and provided a luxury during our stay that overlooked the bay while you sat in the pool and hot tubs. The pool area also offered delicious drinks and food. The staff in the hotel and poolside restaurant were friendly and attentive. There was a Nespresso cappuccino maker and free sparkling water in the room as well as a spacious refrigerator and a full kitchenette if needed. The hotel room was beautifully decorated from the lighting to the furniture/decor that the room was adorned with. The room had a sliding glass door out to our private patio that allowed for a full view of the garden and the bay with the curtains being optional to open or close depending on our preference from floor to ceiling views. We enjoyed breakfast, smoked bacon eggs benedict and French toast, at the hotel restaurant

The hotel is beautiful and the pools are amazing. The house keeping staff and valet were incredible. The pool staff member was not helpful. He sat on his phone the entire time and never offered any service or guidance. As a result we were unaware of the sauna's. Our room fridge froze all of our food and when we mentioned this there was no apology.

My corporate WiFi never works in this facility, always works at the Grand Pacific. Really limited tv channels. Would be nice to get CNBC? They used to have water in the lobby and they would put fruit (lemon/ lime) in the container, nice touch …. Just plain water now…. And really miss the steam room, sauna not the same. I keep coming back, but it’s not as good as a couple years ago. Thanks

The Oak Bay Beach Hotel did not disappoint, the staff from top to bottom were excellent. The grounds, minerals pools are immaculate, our room was clean and spacious, we could have not had the vent outside rumbling all night but it was tolerable. Other than this one small issue we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We also went to the Boathouse Spa and enjoyed a couples massage again fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel / resort. Can’t wait to go back.

This was one of the nicest hotels ever. Staff was extremely friendly!! The jacuzzi was fabulous and the rooms exceptional. Shout out to Heather our concierge thank you for all the help with destinations. And Lee the doorman/valet he always made sure we had water in our vehicle and greeted us with a smile

The hotel itself is gorgeous and the bellhop / welcoming staff was lovely when we arrived. After our initial intro however we noted the service to be poor on a few occasions. All of the staff seemed to be extremely young [like 18 - 24 years years old young]. The only senior staff they had was a manager and the bellhop [both of whom were lovely]. Our server at breakfast was not friendly, she just threw the bill down both for us and the table next to us without a word. She never quality checked the food and she took 20 minutes to get to our table to start with; on our check out day this was not ideal. The staff at the pool took one of our drinks before we were done drinking it at 10:45 when the pool was open until 11 pm. When we asked him about this his response was "well there wasn't much left". He seemed to just want to close up early so he could leave. On our last day, we were given late check out but then they deactivated our keys causing us to be locked out and almost miss our helicopter back. Front desk staff told us "oh ya that was bound to happen we can't change the key deactivation" - no one told us to expect this when they granted us late check out. For a hotel of this stature I would have expected much better service. It seems like they have lost a significant amount of their more experienced staff and there are a bunch of people under 25 trying to run the place. If it weren't for the gorgeous pools I don't think I would be heading back anytime soon.

Such a lovely place. It is a relaxing atmosphere with gorgeous veiws. It is a quick trip to downtown Victoria, but away from the bustle. I can't recomend this property enough and am looking forward to my next stay.

Wonderful property, much nicer than expected. Every staff member was extremely friendly. Perfect walking neighbourhood. Pools and spa area were in top shape and made for a very relaxing stay. The ONLY downside is the food and drink program - mediocre at best but with hotel pricing. Would definitely stay again.

This is a spectacular property. A short distance from downtown Victoria, but well worth it. The public areas, the guest rooms and the grounds are beautiful and well appointed. The pool area is right on the water with outstanding service. We'll definitely be back.

Just a quick single-night visit to Victoria, and wanted a quiet spot away from the bustle of downtown. This property is fantastic, with great views, two good dining options and great walking opportunities along the coast. The staff was attentive and helpful. We didn't have time to visit the spa or pool, but they looked very inviting. We would definitely return.

Excellent staff and exceptional quality and cleanliness of rooms. Only criticism is that we had two breakfasts at the Snug Restaurant on site. The waitstaff were very good but the kitchen service was vey poor. Both times we waited over a half hour before the food arrived and it was frustrating. Much improvement needed.
