They went above and beyond to help with any needs. Also they started the barbecue for us ! Clean towels when we needed them . They also have towels beach toys and s’mores sticks you can borrow all of these items :) such wonderful friendly place . Easy walk to the beach and down town

Hotel is older, but rooms are clean and have some updated furnishings. Very close to the beach. Friendly staff. Not much parking in hotel, but plenty nearby. They have DVD movies to check out, along with popcorn and small snacks. Affordable too.

Friendly, welcoming staff, beautiful array of free snacks and coffee in the office. Clean, quiet, spacious room with a kitchenette, actual bedroom, and peekaboo ocean view! We cant say enough great things about Hillcrest Inn! What an unexpected blessing! The worst part was having to checkout. None of us want to leave! We will choose this motel every time we visit Seaside! Thank you!

I was traveling the coast on a bicycle. The hotel staff helped me with my bike and were very kind. They had snacks and movies in the lobby and gave me a coupon for discounts in local restaurants. I did not have a dog with me, but they were super dog friendly which is great!!

in need of repair. Black mold in bathroom and shower. Also a hole in wall with a piece of drywall taped up with cellophane tape filling the hole. Carpet worn and dirty, pillows and bedding old and needed to be cleaned. Sorry I stayed there. Should have more truthful reviews.

This was my second stay at Hillcrest Inn. It is one block from the beach, aquarium and only 2 blocks from Broadway with all the shops. It may not be as fancy as other more expensive places, but it's clean, dog friendly, close to everything, staff is great. I will definately stay there again in the future.

It was available when most all other options were full for a last minute night away. The place is family owned which I can appreciate, but it is more of a “motel” than a “hotel.” The bed was comfortable and we slept well, but the room was not clean. I couldn’t sit on the chair in the room because it was stained so badly. I did a wet wipe of the floor to see how dirty it was and it was very dirty. I think the rooms are spot cleaned but haven’t been deep cleaned in some time. I am not sure why the reviews are so high - probably a lot of family members and friends that support them remaining open.

We found the room a stinky mess. Complained to mgmnt but no other room was available. Smelled of heavy cleaning but underlaying animal urine. The floor appeared to be water damaged so a concern of possible mold contamination. Did a toilet overflow? Bed was comfortable but such noisy springs we were hearing the neighboring room bouncing bed in the middle of the night.

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is older but they make up for it in character and the extras. We loved the fireplace and free movies. We had a kitchen in our suite so we were able to make breakfast and supper but there are many restaurants nearby. The staff (Ruth) was amazing. So friendly. Very close to the beach and downtown Seaside.

Nice small quaint hotel. No frills but is well kept rooms are nice. Only thing if getting a lower floor room, keep in mind, since is older building, will hear every footstep from upstairs neighbors as they move around their room

The hide-a-bed was so uncomfortable and in need of repair that it was only usable for sleep as a couch. There were multiple holes in the drywall where it appears as they needed to repair something within, but the drywall was not replaced (just left as an open cavity). Every step we took caused the floors to creak loudly causing neighbors to request less movement despite us walking normally (we also have older children that weren't running around, simply walking). When the DVD player was not working in our room we were handed a new one in the box to hopk up ourselves. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Free popcorn and snacks were very nice and there were DVD's and board games in the office for use within the rooms at no cost. The kitchenette was well stocked with dishes and pots and pans, but one refrigerator didnt work at all, hense why there was a second in the room, with the inoperable one still in place. All in all the trip was was and relaxing, but for pver 1000 bucks for 3 nights, i would hope for more comfort and an upkept structure.

Hillcrest was excellent. Amazing staff, clean room, super close to both the beach and downtown. They have discounts for local businesses if you mention you are staying with Hillcrest. They offer snacks in the morning, and they have some board games and a ton of movies available in DVD. They also have smart TVs, but service was being upgraded at the time. It felt like we were staying a night at Grandma's house. She had cookies and other snacks available when we arrived and a collection of movies or board games you can borrow. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and enjoyed chit chatting with the manager.We will definitely be back for another stay

The property is nostalgic. We liked the cabin we stayed in. Our was the one without a table in the living room. But we just use the chairs from the kitchen. They do offer free coffee and pastries for breackfast. The staff was super friendly. If we go again it will be there.

The Motel is older, with a kind of rambling structure that gives it a unique character. The room was well appointed, in very good condition and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful, kind and generous. Due to the construction happening at the building where our room was, she kindly moved us to a nicer room at the other building at no extra cost so we would be further away from the noise. It was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed! The hotel is super close to the beach, quiet and safe. Plus they have complimentary snacks, games and movies at the reception.

Perfect location to shops and community center. I could see the ocean from our room service was phenomenal Ruth is a dear. The yummy breakfast snacks and juice was a pleasant surprise. Thank you for a beautiful stay.
