Phangan Rainbow Bungalows

The view and the beach was so amazing. The sea is very shallow but lovely to sit in to cool down. My boyfriend and I went canoeing and it was honestly pure paradise. The room was perfect for the price we paid. We were really worried about having no aircon but the fan was fine. The food was amazing and affordable. The staff even cut down a coconut for me. We chose this location for the full moon party since it was quite close and we thought taxis would be cheaper. We paid 150TBH per person for a taxi ride to the party and to the pier. If you stay closer to the pier you’ll also pay 150TBH. So we didn’t get a discounted price even though we stayed much closer. There are no taxis at the resort itself but if you stand on the road you’ll get one very quickly. The wifi in our rooms wasn’t great at all unfortunately. Our only problem. Oh also we were first dropped off at Rainbow Bungalows not Phangan Rainbow Bungalows which are 2 separate resorts. Make sure to specify. So so loved this place. Would definitely recommend. Cheapest place we stayed at during our trip and we had the best time .

Etter 4 netter på Haad Yao flyttet vi ned til - for oss - en ny strand. Pga gode anmeldelser valgte vi Phangan Rainbow Bungalows. Vi merket med en gang at her nede på Bankai Beach er juli «Low Season in Low Season». I tillegg var det varslet mye vind og regn så mange av strand-restaurantene hadde stengt. (Det samme hadde dessverre også restauranten på Phangan Rainbow - men de serverte frokost) Vi ble møtt av særdeles hyggelige Noi som beklagde (!) det dårlige været som var varslet. Vi sjekket inn i en ren og fin Beachfront bungalow med balkong (2 stoler, bord og hengekøye), kjøleskap, et bord og 1 stol - ingen vannkoker (men vi fikk låne!), 1 dobbeltseng og 1 enkeltseng - enkeltsengen ble brukt som oppbevaringsplass da det mangler skap og veggkroker. En dusj (i badekar) med godt trykk - deilig! (Må renne litt før varmtvannet kommer). Det varslede og etterlengtede regnet kom (har ikke regnet her på flere måneder) - og da kom (også særdeles hyggelige) Martin bort med paraply til oss. På denne siden av øya trekker vannet seg (mer?) tilbake nå på sommeren. Det stiger litt utover kvelden men det er langgrunt og ikke så egnet for bading på denne tiden av året. Martin forteller at vannet går helt opp til restauranten på vinterstid. Vi hadde 4 deilige og avslappende dager/netter her på Phangan Rainbow Bungalows. Noi og Martin er bare nydelige og vi kan anbefale stedet 110%. Vi kommer gjerne igjen - kanskje da rundt påsketider! Jane & Lars

Amazing place. A really beautiful place and beach run by an awesome family.

Great place. Right on the beach. Beautiful. Kind owners. Good breakfast with American style bacon. Good burgers for lunch. All and all a really good experience. Much better than spending a similar amount to be in a shared room at some hostel. Easy motorbike rental bery close by. I will stay here again if I visit this island again.

Amazing spot on the beach Martin Is a great host

Zum baden war bei Ebbe etwas zu wenig Wasser.

We stayed here to be in the perfect area just far enough away from the busy beach of had rin and the port area of moo 1. It was a decent bungalow with fishing boats near by and great personal beaches to walk along. Check out yams kitchen close by.

Beautiful cottages on the beach!! Mine was a cottage with sea view and a bit bigger than some on the back. Very spacious, clean, but no closet, nowhere to hang clothes. The restaurant only serves beverages and breakfast, but you can walk to a few places. Otherwise you need a scooter or a taxi. The owners are very kind and helpful. It's a truly beautiful place.

Chambre propre le personnel est très agréable les commerces ne sont pas très loin mais il faut avoir un véhicule Hotel très bien entretenu

Unfriendly Service, 2 dogs and one of them isnt friendly.If you want a cheap, stuffy and dirty room this is perfect for you.

Das Zimmer war nicht besonderes ordentlich als wir ankamen und Roomservice gab es nur nach zweimaliger Aufforderung. Unser Zimmer hatte leider auch keine Klima! Das Personal war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Der Strand ist schön und die Lage gut!

This hotel had a great location right onto the beach. Unfortunately, the room wasn’t all clean, with sand and long black hairs on the floor. The lighting in the room was also very dark. At the reception you could buy water, soda and beer. But the sodas were two years too old and when I got a beer, my hand was dark from mould that was all over the bottle.

Phangan Rainbow Bungalows is hands down one of the best places I’ve stayed in Koh Phangan a true getaway retreat! My bungalow was spotlessly clean, super cozy, & had everything I needed to feel right at home. The real showstopper, though, was the view. Waking up to lush greenery & the sparkling ocean was absolutely priceless Martin and his wife are the heart and soul of this place. Their warmth & hospitality made me feel like family from the second I arrived. They went above and beyond to ensure I had the best stay, always ready with a smile, local tips, or help with anything I needed. Whether it was recommending a hidden beach or sorting out a scooter rental (which is highly recommended) they made everything effortless. This place is a perfect blend of chill vibes & island charm, ideal for anyone looking to escape & soak in Koh Phangan’s magic. Phangan Rainbow Bungalows is a must stay I can’t wait to come back

Vi ble møtt av en koselig dame når vi ankom. Vi fikk sjekket inn raskt og rommet var ryddig og fint men enkel standard. På et av rommene fant vi en kakerlakk. Det er en familie som eier stedet, så restauranten åpnet og stengte når det passet for dem. De eier to pitbuller som går fritt på eiendommen. Den ene er ganske aggressiv og endte opp med å bite en av gjestene under oppholdet. Dette førte til at vi ikke følte oss trygge utenfor bungalowene. Da vi ba eierne ta den i bånd, ble de sinte og sa at det var vår egen feil om vi ble bitt.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Arrived to find a deserted hotel. Initially thought great but then was told no restaurant in low season even though we paid for breakfast. Steep road to cabins which taxi drivers wont drive down and need transport to get everywhere from it, even to a 7/11 which was supposed to be 400m away. Ninas coffee shop was around the corner and lovely. Nina helped us get taxis and said that the hotel has always had problems, no one stays. Aircon was not working in room even though owner said it was. The sea was out quite far to go for a dip and no pool, very picturesque to look out but bitten to shreds, accomodation was poor and not as described. Holes in sheets on bed. Fridge was unplugged so no cold water. When plugged in it sparked very big. Very dangerous. We like staying in cabins on the beach but this was poor. We found luxury accomodation further around the corner for the same price. Dont risk this place. The restaurant was the owners family home with tables on the extended veranda. Was dirty and outdated with her kids sitting on tables. Asked to leave straight away and explained to expedia the situation. The owner became very aggressive telling us she was poor and would not refund. She lied to expedia and refused the refund. Told expedia there was a restaurant and it was open. Appalling service. Expedia honour the hotels over the customers Dont fall into the trap we did with this one. It was clear the owner did not want to open facilities to 2 people.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour. Le cadre est très beau. Nous avons les pieds dans l’eau. Les propriétaires sont super sympa, accueillants, vraiment au top! Le seul petit point négatif c’est qu’il n’y avait pas de climatisation dans notre chambre je n’avais pas fait attention lors de ma réservation, c’était notifié…Heureusement que Martin est super sympa, et nous a donné un deuxième ventilateur.

Booked ahead, got a great price. Private bungalow had everything you need, and the hammock on the front porch ties it all together.

La posizione era strategica sia dalla zona della movida che dalla zona porto spostandosi in scooter.Bungalow in spiaggia con servizi essenziali,aggiungerei solo un piccolo frigo.Personale disponibile e accogliente.

We really enjoyed our stay at phangang rainbow bungalows. Martin and Noi were lovely hosts and made us feel really welcome. They gave us helpful advise during our stay and easily let us book an extra night. Their beautiful dog Millie gave us endless joy. It is family run and a nice place to be. The bungalows are in a great location, the beach is stunning and your in-between the two main areas. You do need a scooter to get around but you can hire one next door for 200 baht a day. We would definetly stay again. Thank you!

Sehr schöne Bungalows an einem wunderschönen kleinen Strand in ruhiger Lage. Mit dem Scooter ist man schnell am Haad Rin Beach. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden wieder kommen.

Super schönes Hotel. Toller Ausblick, ruhig & sehr nette Inhaber. Man braucht definitiv einen Roller, da das Hotel etwas abgelegen ist. Dafür gibt es aber Rollerverleihe direkt um die Ecke :) Leider gibt es keinen Roomservice :/ war aber für ein paar Tage in Ordnung.

This hotel had a great location right onto the beach. Unfortunately, the room wasn’t all clean, with sand and long black hairs on the floor. The lighting in the room was also very dark. At the reception you could buy water, soda and beer. But the sodas were two years too old and when I got a beer, my hand was dark from mould that was all over the bottle.

Great place. Right on the beach. Beautiful. Kind owners. Good breakfast with American style bacon. Good burgers for lunch. All and all a really good experience. Much better than spending a similar amount to be in a shared room at some hostel. Easy motorbike rental bery close by. I will stay here again if I visit this island again.

Super schönes Hotel. Toller Ausblick, ruhig & sehr nette Inhaber. Man braucht definitiv einen Roller, da das Hotel etwas abgelegen ist. Dafür gibt es aber Rollerverleihe direkt um die Ecke :) Leider gibt es keinen Roomservice :/ war aber für ein paar Tage in Ordnung.

Noi ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Schöner Strand mit viel Ruhe und herrlichen Kokospalmen daneben/dahinter. Sehr gepflegt ! Wer Partys sucht, muss woanders buchen. 2-3 gute und g7nstige Restaurants gleich daneben, auch im Resort selbst kann man gut essen.

We stayed here to be in the perfect area just far enough away from the busy beach of had rin and the port area of moo 1. It was a decent bungalow with fishing boats near by and great personal beaches to walk along. Check out yams kitchen close by.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Arrived to find a deserted hotel. Initially thought great but then was told no restaurant in low season even though we paid for breakfast. Steep road to cabins which taxi drivers wont drive down and need transport to get everywhere from it, even to a 7/11 which was supposed to be 400m away. Ninas coffee shop was around the corner and lovely. Nina helped us get taxis and said that the hotel has always had problems, no one stays. Aircon was not working in room even though owner said it was. The sea was out quite far to go for a dip and no pool, very picturesque to look out but bitten to shreds, accomodation was poor and not as described. Holes in sheets on bed. Fridge was unplugged so no cold water. When plugged in it sparked very big. Very dangerous. We like staying in cabins on the beach but this was poor. We found luxury accomodation further around the corner for the same price. Dont risk this place. The restaurant was the owners family home with tables on the extended veranda. Was dirty and outdated with her kids sitting on tables. Asked to leave straight away and explained to expedia the situation. The owner became very aggressive telling us she was poor and would not refund. She lied to expedia and refused the refund. Told expedia there was a restaurant and it was open. Appalling service. Expedia honour the hotels over the customers Dont fall into the trap we did with this one. It was clear the owner did not want to open facilities to 2 people.

Beautiful cottages on the beach!! Mine was a cottage with sea view and a bit bigger than some on the back. Very spacious, clean, but no closet, nowhere to hang clothes. The restaurant only serves beverages and breakfast, but you can walk to a few places. Otherwise you need a scooter or a taxi. The owners are very kind and helpful. It's a truly beautiful place.
