My purpose was as a stopping off point between a journey. The motel was clean and having a microwave and tea/coffee making made it easy to have a meal in the room instead of going out. For the one night stay I did not find anything that I did not like. And it was a reasonable cost.

It was ideal for the half way stop for us for our trip. It was bare essentials. Very old. But tidy. Had to use a towel to put at bottom of the door. No elec blanket even with winter so had to sleep with reverse cycle on. Staff were lovely. Alot of road noise from Pacific hwy.

The motel was very clean and well maintained. It is an old school type motel that was most likely built 50 plus years ago but for our overnight stay provided all we required. Unfortunately the onsite restaurant was closed when we stayed which is our only concern. Would stay again.

Small, but clean and tidy room with older fittings. Microwave and no utensils, plates, or anything else to actually make use of the microwave with. The worst thing was the window in the bathroom that cannot be closed (by design as there's no fan) and opens onto the carpark, right next to where people were smoking day and night. My room STANK. I left at 6am to get out of there. I wrote to the property about it a week ago and have heard nothing - so here's my honest review based on my one night stay. I would not go back.

Nice location to explore Karingai. You can hear the trains during the quiet periods at night. There is no cooking in the rooms but they should still have some glasses, plates, bowls, knives, forks, spoons, etc to eat off. A nice place to stay for the price. I would stay again.

Good👍: Affordable. Nice people. Nice restaurant on site. Shower pressure. Not good👎: 1. The shower head was immovable and aimed at my shoulder height (I’m 187cm/6’2”). 2. Room description said “cable channels”… but only if you log in with your account. 3. The internet dropped out four times so I gave up on watching a free movie. For some reason I found myself awake at 3:30am, however, so I ran an experiment. The Internet was fine then. Perhaps when (potentially) nine other rooms weren’t drawing on the resource it works. 4. Though the basic items were all cleaned appropriately, a thorough clean of the bathroom had not happened for sometime because there was mould visible and wipeable on the tiles in places. This also made me uncomfortable about thorough cleaning of other items. It wasn’t a good look. So, when they clean properly, change the shower heads, fix the internet, and get cable channel subscriptions (or correct their advertised description) they’ll be great.

I got to stay in the new suite which was fresh and clean. My only comment would be that if the windows were double glazed it would be perfect as the train and traffic noise is a bit intrusive.

Great little inexpensive motel. The staff are great, checkin until 10pm and all smiles. Rooms are older but well maintained and comfortable with good AC and nice beds. There was a microwave in my room and there is take-away and supermarkets a very short drive or a moderate walk away. Highly recomended if you just need a basic room.

We did not need to find Dining options, however it did look like there was a small group of shops close by. Hornsby shopping center was only a 10minute drive away. Unfortunately this property is on the Hwy, however it was not noisy enough to keep me awake. Very comfortable little Motel. Would stay again and ask for a room at the back.
