The property was great! The only thing that was bad was the noise on the nights of the parties. We stayed in a villa and the night time party was obnoxious!

Equipe muito atenciosa, tivemos um pequeno problema com cofre e a banheiro, mas foram resolvidos a contento. Comida ótima, temperatura da piscina, maravilhosa, principalmente para quem não gosta de água fria existe uma com temperatura de 30º.

Nice hotel, the only thing that we didn’t like is that the activities at night finish very early (11:00pm) The beach area is good, and the room was spacious.

The staff were very attentive, the pool was warm, the beach was beautiful, the food was amazing and the rooms were very clean!! I would definitely come here again!

Great hotel. Very very clean. If this is the first time you are traveling to Cancun you will love this place. We were dissatisfied with entertainment staff. They need to work more on their entertainment staff. They speak in Spanish most of the time and half of the crown doesn’t engage because of language barrier. Singers were just okay. We have stayed at Xcaret and Grand moon couple of times but wanted to try something different this time. It’s boring after a day as there is nothing to do there. Kids were done swimming all day after the second day. There are 4 restaurants but food is just okay. Lots and lots of food but just doesn’t taste good.

Wait staff and cleaning services are exceptional. The villas and their own private pool is fantastic. Cannot beat the playa and constant breeze. Great stay, lots going on for adults and kids each day

We loved everything except the pools closing at 730 thats just ridiculously and the only bathroom was in the main lobby they really need one outside by the beach or atleast by the pools the resort is a little dated but it is very clean the staff was great I'd go there again

“Impeccable 5/5 for cleanliness and staff. The room was spotless every single day ( bathroom sparkling, not a speck of dust anywhere) clean fresh towels daily The best part of this resort is the location the views are breathtaking

Terrible food, there were roaches in the 24/7 sportsbar all around the food, other restaurants were terrible with food, very repetetive, pizzas and hotdogs were very hard toasted, and got stomach sick, will never stay there again.

Resort was very clean, food was excellent and no problem finding a spot at the pool. Bartenders around constantly to take drink orders and put up umbrellas if wanted. Entertainment staff was excellent and always engaging. Tons of activities during the day if that’s your thing and always entertainment in the evening. Quick walk over to the RIU caribe if you want to take in one of the theme parties. I’ve been to other resorts where you had to book ala carte meals and it was always an ordeal, here you could walk into any restaurant and eat wherever you wanted. My only complaint was our room. It was always clean and well stocked but the bathroom was quite open and a weird layout, would have preferred it an enclosed bathroom. Toilet didn’t work very well but after several days called and someone came up and fixed it. If going would recommend the rio app so you can easily order room service, get extra blankets/ pillows ect, see what entertainment is happening daily and check out the restaurants. Would definitely go back if the upcoming renovations make the rooms better

Found a lot of black mold in the room.

Los alimentos fríos, de baja calidad, no cumplían con lo ofrecido.Los cortes d e carne no cumplian con la calidad de un restaurante de 5 estrellas como dicen ser. Fauna nociva (ratas en la playa, cucaracha alemana en sport bar y restaurante las olas). El llenando del servibar era cada 3 día y tenían una placa en el mismo que decía que era a diario. La limpieza de los vasos era pésimo solamente los enjuagaban y se quedaban con restos y olores anteriores. Las cañerías tapadas y con mal olor. El staff no dio solución a los problemas de fauna nociva preguntaban que podían hacer por nosotros en lugar de dar una solución rápida y efectiva

Staff was amazing 😍. The view was great. Landscape was good. Swimming pools were a bit dirty, with guests discarded cups, etc. the constant smell of gas from nearby jet skis. And when one stepped into the balcony, the air conditioner noise was super loud

Clean room, turn down service is awesome, all of the staff were super friendly, and the grounds are beautiful.

We stayed 7 days in the hotel, the services are excellent, many food choices, except that we found 4 cockroaches in the room, and my mom was once stuck in the elevator and she had to call for rescue. The rescue came immediately and no harm was caused. The hotel needs more attention on the property maintenance, but overall it's still a good choice staying in the hotel zone at its pricing level, with all-inclusive package and kids friendly facilities.

When I first entered the room, I noticed a sewer smell, a leaking showerhead, and the room was quite dark and outdated. On the second day, I was shocked to find a cockroach in the room. I felt like I had chosen the wrong resort at first. However, the friendly staff and the delicious food really made a difference. They even found the clothes that had blown off my terrace, and everyone was so warm and smiling. I wanted to give five stars, but I had to take one off because of the cockroach. I heard the resort will be renovated next year, and I’m willing to come back after that. Hopefully, there won’t be any bugs then.

The entire resort was spotless my husband and i were very impressed, the staff was unbelievably friendly and the quality of the food in the restaurant's was incredible.

The beds are to stiff and small, the wife and I had to sleep apart because we didn't fit in one bed.

Rooms were clean and staff members were nice and working hard. Also balcony were big enough but you could hear next doors people talking out in the balcony just like they were next to you. One day after mid night and had to call lobby to have someone come up and talk to next door because it was too loud and Finally we had to change room. Breakfast was great and staff members are nice but some of them do not smile at all. Rooms were clean bathroom smells.

Todas as refeições são excelentes, muitas opções de restaurantes. Mesmo com o hotel cheio conseguiram manter a qualidade do serviço. Equipe muito bem treinada. Hotel limpo. Quarto amplo, apenas a cama de casal poderia ser um pouco maior. Academia pode melhorar. Sugiro a construção de uma área kids com brinquedos, que não dependa dos recreadores.

Clean rooms, friendly staff kudos to Moises in the front lobby, the only thing that needs to improve is the A/C in the rooms.

Better than expected food. Great staff. Segmented pools, especially swim up bar being away from main pools was annoying. We didn’t use it even once. Rooms were spacious but open bathroom concept more annoying than expected and beds were pretty terrible. No one can figure out how to balance the fans so it doesn’t click loudly like that? All four rooms had same issue. Moldy smell. Bad beds. Loud clicking fans. No real entertainment by the pools so super boring. After 4 days I was bored. Good food only goes so far. I wanted better energy and larger pools. No fault of the resort. Staff and food all good. Cleaning staff good. Just not my type of resort.

The property needs major updates. For one the bathroom should be close out. It’s inconvenient for families or anyone to take a shower on the open. The jet tub in the room, it’s useless. Maybe have some room available for families with kids or teens. The toilet in our room was not working, there was water coming from the shower walls to the other side and toilet area.The toilet was fix but the leak was not. Also water was coming from the room next to us by the jet tub area. The food was good, wish the restaurant was open till 10 pm at least. We really liked the pool area, Bathrooms were a little far but okay.

The first 3 night I didn’t sleep at all I went Aug 19-24 , so the 19th , 20th and 21st they put me husband and my adult son in a room with two small beds so me and husband shared a bed and my son took the other it was so uncomfortable , they said they no other rooms with bigger beds available I felt they should have prepared better because they knew the arrangement would be uncomfortable since it 3 adults not until I kept complaining then changed my room to a room with a king bed and 2 double bed which should of been given to us from the start because i truthfully did not get any sleep for the first 3 nights . Front Desk Andrea (Andy) was very Helpful thanks to her my Issue was resolved

Property is amazing, it’s clean and the cleaning staff is amazing. Throughout our stay, we experienced repeated instances of discrimination. We were often ignored when asking questions, and on several occasions, we were set aside while placing an order so that staff could prioritize other guests who appeared less Mexican

All the staff were very conscientious and professional. The well-structured management of the complex made for a very good day for us.

We had an ocean front jacuzzi suite. The hotel is very clean, but extremely outdated. The daytime service was beyond horrible. At checkin the young man was new and very friendly; however, when he requested help from his supervisor, she ignored us as if we weren’t there and then was rude when I asked a question. They told us the buffet was the only restaurant open so we went there… not only did the staff not greet us but they didn’t even respond when we smiled and said hello. When we went to get food, they started removing it as we served ourselves. Literally right in front of my hand! When we tried to sit where we saw people eating, a man started yelling that the section was closed and we needed to go to the other side. He then sent someone to clear the tables. 1 out of the 5 restaurant staff that we interacted with was nice. He showed us where to sit and offered drinks. It was truly appalling. On the way out we saw that the restaurant was set to close in a little less than 30 minutes. (The food (we were only able to get Octopus, salad and bread) was not good in our opinion btw) we are used to Breathless, Secrets and Ava resort. This hotel should not be in the same category. I am confused as to how it is even 5 stars. We went out for dinner. Breakfast was okay. The outdoor staff near the adults only pool was amazing & the nighttime entertainment was good. Those were the only redeeming aspects. I was so disappointed in this resort.

I loved everything , except the receptionist andy. I feel she was very rude, as if she was taking out her personal issues on us. Even my other guests that came with me, felt she was very dissmissive. I will next time ask for someone else. She didnt provide us with information or talk o us like the last times we stayed at the riu. No welcome no, greeting, no nothing. I was going to complain but. I was tired and wanted the rooms.

As we arrived to the property we were greeted by the hotel personnel. Right after we walked in to check in, there was a server offering drinks. We found that perfect, as there was a line at check in. Once it was our turn to check in we were told that they were oversold on rooms. That they didn’t have any rooms available until the next day. They offered us to go to a different hotel and extra compensation with that but it was very disappointing. I declined the offer, and the young lady who was helping my group of 8 (adults and children) was able to put us in 2 VIP adults only rooms for the night and then moved us to our permanent rooms. Next day we packed our belonging and got moved to our ocean view rooms. The staff works hard to make sure guests are not unhappy but I think management needs to step up in this kind of situations and apologize to the guests. Leaving everything to the associates it’s not the way to go. The property is in good condition. I loved the shows they had available for the kids. Pool area lis maintained clean. Rooms were cleaned daily. Cleaning staff would leave a cute towel animal on top of the bed. We visited 4 of restaurants in the resort and my favorite was the steak house. The food was delicious. Server Martin and Memo were very attentive. Manager of the steak house was able to accommodate us for dinner on our last night at the resort. Italian concept Venecia was also a favorite. Lunch and Dinner buffets were good.

I got robed by the pool area, I went to make a report with the front desk and they told me that it wasn’t their fault which obviously wasn’t, but I was just trying to to see if they were able to show me the recording since they’re was a camera running in front of I left my stuff. The manager was very rude and at one point, he started laughing at me. I had trouble to Cancun many times and this is the first time that I encounter a situation like this one I will recommend this hotel at all

The staff was amazing! I took this trip by myself, and the staff made me feel comfortable. There were many times when I felt like I was alone and members of the housekeeping staff cheered me up.

Our room was spotless, and the staff were all super friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We found the food and drinks delicious, and the location was great as well.

We had great experience with riu palace peninsula cancun. We arrived early and had no problems to check in. We even got free upgrade. The stuffs are friendly, the rooms are clean. They have few nice restaurants. We tried them all and really enjoyed their food. The area around hotel is safe. We tried to snorkel under the dock in the afternoon. Because the dock area usually busy for water sports rental in the morning. We saw a lot of different spices fishes. We walked along the beach passed the ferry station that was a nice cove with decent corals and fishes. Nightly shows are nice and entertaining. We went to Riu Party next door for dance once. It was really fun. The overall experience was great.

The service was phenomenal, we never had to wait for drinks or food. Facilities are clean and staff is very friendly. they offer entertainment at the pool and at the main theater. location is excellent, walking distance to the ferry, we use to visit Isla Mujeres. RiU Party was my favorite. Definitely would return. Gracias Mexico

Second time staying in a Riu and nothing but th best comments. Staff is great. Pools are clean. Ocean is amazing. A just overall great time and close to the airport.

The place is beautiful, the beach was amazing even with the sargassum. The staff was very attentive and service was excellent. Food was great, the drinks were so so, some bartenders make them good and strong and others make them meh. We liked that if we wanted we can go and use the facilities of the Riu next door. Definitely we will stay here next time we travel to Cancun.

Wish somebody would have mentioned that the rooms are outdated and the toilet is in an isolated 4x5 feet room with no suction fan. Need to mention that I was in the 2nd floor in front of the small stage and on top of the big theater. Location is 5 - 10 minutes walk to the marina and 5 -10 drive to where all the night clubs are. The RIU party is in the resort next door which is RIU Caribe, just a couple minutes walking from the main RIU peninsula.

The pool area design was nice and gave plenty of options on different types of pools, The way the rocky bluffs on the beach gave areas a bit of seclusion and made me feel like I had my own beach. The hotel was kept up and clean, the staff was friendly.

Food is great and the restaurant are all tasty only make sure get there early because once it’s fully reserved they stop taking people. They have shows/ entertainment daily and live music to dance to, plus the pool parties with diff themes. Rooms are clean and all drinks inside are free from charge. Would recommend this hotel.

Loved the Resort however no vegan food options - other than the salad bar. While there were vegetarian options, most were loaded with oil and/or cheese making them not a healthy option. The restaurants also need to include Vegan options. Needs to be additional entertainment on the days of the RIU parties for older adults who don't appreciate standing in a pool with an intoxicated crowd and having champagne poured on them. Also wish there was a bigger and better gift shop that sold authentic Mexican merchandise, Didn't get to buy any souvenirs because we were not comfortable leaving the property.

The Los Olas buffet and staff were excellent. The food in the Kabuki Japanese restaurant was awful. Not even close to good sushi or salmon.

I stayed here for 7 days. When I checked in, they offered me an “upgrade” to an ocean view room for $180. At first, I thought it was a nice deal… until I realized later that ALL the rooms in this hotel already have an ocean view. Total trick, so be careful if they try that with you. Food was just okay, nothing amazing. Honestly, not sure I’d come back.

Impressionante a gestão do hotel. Tudo funciona e funciona muito bem. Otimas suítes. O paisagismo, as áreas de piscina e praias são muito bonitas e cuidadas. Equipe gentil e atenciosa. O hotel tem o melhor restaurante buffet que já conheci La Osla. Sua qualidade e variedade fazem com que os restaurantes de especialidades estejam quase sempre vazios, apesar de bons também.
