Gran hotel para la estancia en Xilitla cuentan con habitaciones bastante grandes y con una terraza increible en el restaurante. Esta muy cerca del jardin surrealista por lo que se puede llegar a pie. Para ir al centro si esta un poco retirado pero tambien cerca en carro.

Posada James is a beautiful hotel with wonderful owners & staff, within easy walking distance of Las Pozas / the Edward James sculpture garden. The owners went out of their way to make sure I had a good stay, and the staff were friendly and kind (and wonderful cooks!) The view from the porch where food was served was unbelievably beautiful. Would absolutely stay again!

The location was close to the entrance of the Edward James Gardens. It had a nice patio with a beautiful view and a pool. The breakfast was supposed to be included, but they charged us for it. We had to change rooms because it was musty and mildew. The room they gave us had double beds instead of a king, no TV and no screens on the windows. The tub and shower left a lot to be desired and they charged us same price as an upgraded room.

El lugar está literalmente a unos minutos del Jardin, por lo que trasladarse sin necesidad de usar auto es lo que mas vale la pena, adicional a que tienen estacionamiento. La atencion por parte de los dueños es espectacular, nos recibieron personalmente y nos dieron varias recomendaciones, incluyendo unas pulseritas que tenian descuentos en los restaurantes de alrededor. Tienen una terrazq con una vista muy linda, ahi ofrecen servicio de restaurante que desafortunadamente no probamos. Los contra solo son que el hotel ya es un poco viejo y esta poco descuidado, huele mucho a humedad aunque se entiende por la zona; nuestra puerta solo cerraba si la forzabas sin embargo no hubo tema porque parece un lugar seguro. El espacio de la habitacion es ideal y tiene muchos muebles.

First the good: The lobby/reception area is very nice. The patio has amazing views. The food was great, and the staff was nice. The location is walking distance from the Jardín Escultórico. The bad: Our room was pretty terrible. It felt like it hasn't had any maintenance in decades. The floor looked disgusting. There was black mold in the bathroom. The bathroom layout made no sense. It has a tub in the middle with a rainfall shower head coming out of the side, which came up to shoulder height. The table lamp didn't work. It had a ridiculously small TV (Michael Scott style). The hotel dogs started brawling at 4:30am. Would not stay here again.

Tiene una vista impresionante desde el restaurante, un punto a mejorar serían las camas que tienen una colchoneta de hule espuma muy caliente y poco confortable. Por favor, pues favor resuelvan la tina!! Es muy peligrosa y sin tapete puede haber un accidente grave. No pude bañarme por temor a caerme. Por el precio debian tener una ducha decente.

Our hosts at Posada Verde were very accomodating. They helped us obtain entrances to the Garden of Edward James and arranged for an english speaking guide. The food at the Posada was excellent and the contenental breakfast was lovely. The beds and pillows were so comfortable, i contemplated staying a third night just to enjoy the comfort and good sleep

Xilitla is a paradise by itself but Posada James added a nice touch to our trip. The location, owners, food and thenentire personnel were amazing. You can also get some discounts on local attractions. The surrealist garden of Ed James is withing a short walk distance.
