After a few noisy rooms in past (rooms under flight path, looking over railway, roadway, next to gym) I was giving this hotel one last go, as everything else is great. Lucky this time as got a very quiet room, after requesting change from one looking over railway. Fabulous bed, bathroom and linen. Club room well worth it as fully free bar for 2 hours in evening with substantial fresh and cooked buffet in lounge, all included, and amazing breakfast spread. They don’t explain benefits of club room well enough on Hotels.com. Spa is also great, free to use sauna , jacuzzi etc. Extraordinary architecture and finish. Pool area could improve with a drinks service. All staff are so polite and helpful. Immaculate throughout.

While this is a stunning looking property, great for photos, it’s a shame it’s so noisy. Right under flight path from intl airport. Planes not their fault but from very early morning I could hear weights pounding from gym even though I had requested a very quiet room after long travels. Would have liked 2 hours more sleep. But spa amazing, and Happy Hour buffet and drinks excellent (complimentary with Club room - recommend club room, which is amazing, super bed and bathroom, if you can get a quieter room). Breakfast also very good. Pool area noisy due to planes flying right overhead. Didn’t spend as much time there as planned. Also no hospitality at pool (no bar service). Bar is amazing also and restaurants look great, but very pricey.

From arrival to departure, the service from ITC Grand was on-point. The food at their buffets were excellent. The multiple pools, gyms, spas, and other amenities were great. If you visit, you should definitely visit the Spa at ITC Chola Porch. One suggestion would be additional cuisine options in the room-service menu. Otherwise, this was a visit to remember. This was our Kids first visit to India in their 13 yrs of life. Worth every minute. ITC Chola, you did not disappoint! Raja & Archana

We booked to stay at ITC Grand Chola for a friends wedding celebrations and were not disappointed. The hotels is spotless and the rooms are beautifully decorated. The service was second to none. The restaurants within the hotel were resonably priced and served delicious food. the breakfast covered all cuisines and was served from 0600hrs to 1030hrs so plenty of time to get there. There are 5 pools which look very cleaned and well maintained, however we didn't get to use these. The spa offers a great selection of treatments and I can recommend the massage!

This is a luxurious hotel in the city served by excellent staff. The rooms are massive (ITC One), well appointed with excellent facilities and air-conditioning. The staff is always willing to help and ensure customer satisfaction. The pool is easily accessible and so is the gym. The bed is massive and they have a variety of pillows to order. Any request is attended to immediately. The breakfast at Madras Pavilion is massive and well stocked.

Overall hotel is good, doesn’t really look like the pictures though! A little tired now in rooms and the outside especially the pool area. Be good if offered food/drink service when relaxing at the pool. Good choice of restaurants in the hotel. Staff seem a little disjointed in knowing about the facilities the hotel offers. Overall good, but would be great with a few improvements.

Hotel reasonably close to the airport. Booked a two bedroom, two bath apartment for me and parents. First allotted one had a questionable nicotine odor though it was a non smoking room. Front desk was quick to change the room after we notified them. Really nice of them to do that immediately. All staff were very polite and genuinely hospitable. Food was good at Cafe mercara and Madras pavilion. The Madras pavilion buffet is good but not great. Also the buffets gets crowded at any meal and can be noisy during peak hours. For a hotel this big, I felt the gym was small and no indoor stationery bikes either. Would definitely stay here again since I am a Marriott member, although I would check the other similar hotels in this category too.

Huge property with excellent dining options. Breakfast Buffett had a great spread. The spa was excellent. Good location. I stayed in a serviced 2 bedroom apartment - it was quite spacious. A few more utensils / knives would have been useful. Overall a wonderful experience - will stay again!

Great spacious service apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms was just perfect for our family stay. Th entire hotel was spotless, elegant, and the service was great. The food could be getter for the price. Overall, great hotel to stay. Will do it again the next time we are in Chennai.

Food is good and a nice pool area. Accommodation is very disappointing. We stayed in the apartment wing. Corridors are shabby with stained carpets and damaged doors. A fire door was left ajar ( using piece of cardboard) which is a safety violation. The fittings in the room were worn out and shabby. Air conditioning vents have not been cleaned for ages. Certainly not worth the Euro 300 per night. Quality more befitting a 3 star accommodation. Maybe its time the top managers start doing a walk around to see for themselves. Go for the food and avoid staying.

We were assigned a room that had a strong musty stale odor; then reassigned. Room was not ready so had to wait for another hour close to 5 pm when check-in was 3:00 pm. Staff was poorly trained; carpet in corridors were stained and in poor condition. Glass lamps on bedside tables had gathered so much dust and office table was sticky. Our room TV did not work till a tech came in and said internet connection was absent. Breakfast for successive days was a nightmare…. It was clear they were inadequately prepared to cope with the number of occupants. When we asked for black coffee, a couple of servers said they did not have it-seriously? Five star luxury hotel? Overhaul the management!! Finally, on our day of checkout, we requested a 1:00 pm checkout ( instead of noon) and that was confirmed…guess what? They deactivated our room key cards at half past noon! Fortunately a cleaning staff in the corridor let us in. The onsite management needs to go for a refresher course on luxury hotel management. Will never stay at this place again.

I stayed in the 2 bedroom ‘residence’ apartment and it was perfect. The rooms were spacious and each had an large bathroom with shower, toilet and bath. The kitchen area was well equipped with dishes, microwave, cutlery, fridge, dishwasher and coffee machine. This was the perfect option for us as we wanted to hang out as a family in our down time, The breakfast buffet was vast with many hot options - Indian and western. We even went to Peshawari for dinner one night / excellent north West Indian food. Staff were attentive and friendly. They went over and above to help us. The pools were refreshing after a day out - cool water and enough space to do short laps. We used Ubers for transport and the location was convenient to get into town

Amazing hotel for taking photos and bed super comfortable but it’s too noisy. Could hear flights at 3am, 4am, 5am etc, even with ear plugs. It’s right under flight path for take off of planes from nearby airport. Even at poolside a plane passes over very close every 15 mins. Not relaxing. Even with headphones. It’s a pity as pool area nice, spa is amazing, bed and breakfast great. A little run down in places. Staff very friendly mostly. Not advised if you don’t like noise disturbance. Also the background music inside, in lobby, lounge, restaurants, even elevators is too loud. I wonder if this is to cover for noise of airplanes.

Pillows are lumpy and hard to sleep on. Food in Peshawri was poor. Breakfast was poor quality as well. You had a massive lound disco party on a Wednesday night that went on til 2:15 am. When i went to complain, your staff, Anish, Sunny, and Vaishnavi all lied to me, constantly saying they would switch it off, then saying no they couldnt switch it off but would turn it down. It went on vibrating through my room til 2:15am Disgusting way for a 5* hotel to behave.

Have been a regular client right from the start . Been a Marriott bonvoy also . After arriving flying 20 odd hours at almost 1.15 am the check in was not smooth . Was waiting for almost 20 mts . As there was nobody to attend the existing one was trying to attend a problem . The security and valet guys were great . The lotus buffet staff think palak , upon asking for a seat for me and my friend took us through the lotus buffet area and point us seat no 31 to sit . For two guests there were just one chair no silverware , water glasses , napkins , almost without looking directing to table was a bit weird . The other guests sitting next to us noticed this and was asking us to call them to ask for , we didn’t create a scene . Being a chef myself it’s the basic of the staff to do that . Felt there is a service dip for the first time all these years .. have a booking again from 6-9 .. made me wonder ..

Breakfast menu was the same for all the days. Service at the breakfast wasn’t great, we had to follow up a few times to get some items delivered to our table. Room service wasn’t great, they cleaned the room only after we request 2 times. In general service can be improved. Some management staffs were not polite (especially Male staffs wearing blazers 😃)

I had the pleasure of staying at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai last week, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The property itself is grand, elegant, and truly reflective of Chennai’s rich heritage, with every corner exuding luxury and warmth. A special mention to Kaamini Samraj from Guest Relations, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Her attention to detail, warm hospitality, and genuine care made us feel valued and truly at home. From arranging small comforts to checking in personally to see if everything was perfect, Kaamini’s professionalism and kindness stood out and elevated our entire experience. ITC Grand Chola is already known for its world-class service, but people like Kaamini make it exceptional. I look forward to returning soon and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chennai.

Hotel ambience and facilities are great. But reaching out for service is terrible. In room dining is good in terms of service, maybe because you pay for it. Getting housekeeping or any other support is very bad. They have welcom assistance number that literally nobody picks up. In that sense, Didn't feel like being in an 5-star luxury hotel.

We were stranded with flight cancellations due to the hurricane in Chennai. The customer service this staff provided exceeded all expectations. In fact Shivani Gupta from customer service even helped me with a refund from an entirely unrelated issue. They looked after so many customers with complete ease. I wrote this so that the staff can be commended by the management for their performance today. The hotel was at more than capacity. They did it gracefully. Shiva I and yogeewaran at the desk but all the others were equally exceptional as they dealt with other clients.

Very centrally located. Awesome breakfast. Spa facilities were great! given how expensive the room was, i expected it to be nicer. No good view, and in fact there was bird poop all over on the window cil. The staff was not courteous. Mercara restaurant was not good. The staff was dispassionate. ("hey tell me about your indian cocktails..". "meh.. you can try whatever.. they\'re general itc ones".. lol.. show me some passion)

Hotellet är fantastiskt. Servicen är toppen och det finns restauranger för alla smaker, men inte för alla plånböcker. Var beredd på att det kostar. Läget är inte optimalt heller. Det ser man ju för all del när man bokar, men det är värt att tänka på. Nästa gång bokar jag ett hotell närmare centrum.

1.I got electrocuted while using the iron box in the room. Unacceptable for a 5 star hotel and club class/ club room charge However on lodging complaint we were given replacement to different room. After assurances that the next room were checked well. Immediately on moving noted the the door to the rest room were jammed. Disappointed stay in the property with is 5star and we paid for the club class room. Because of the irresponsible attitude of the ITC our programs and schedules for that day had to be cancelled. 2. We stayed long form 24/12 - 3/01 and it was challenging for us to queue every morning for breakfast. Too crowded and poor management of food supplies. I indeed saw a cockroach in the food display table which I have informed to the manager present at the location. Unacceptable for 5 star hotel. Luckily we saw it on 02/01 and we did not go for breakfast next day and we left. As a client of Hotel.com I feel I should update this as your rating for this property is exceptional and we go by your recommendation. Ended by great disappointments.
