The location on high ground overlooking the valley and mountains was outstanding. The quiet was appreciated. Nice rooms and common spaces. We walked around the grounds and saw several little meeting areas.

Very quiet. Breakfast was included and delicious. Loved the potatoes. Only downside, our garden patio furniture was really old and cushions were very flat and dirty. Hiking paths were lovely, but the “watch for snakes” with numerous holes made me run as fast as I could. Waterfall area was very nice. Patio would be so wonderful if it had a jacuzzi.

This was a very nice surprise. Beautiful grounds, many areas to be alone or stroll with friends, definitely a retreat. Cabin was simple but very comfortable with small kitchenette, private patio with beautiful view, and many places to escape. Very serene and the hosts were wonderful. Euro style breakfast is included.

The Ojai Resort is in a beautiful setting in the area of Ojai. Wildlife is all over - California quail, bunnies, hawks, and I even saw a bobcat! It’s on top of a hill, so the views are stunning, and it’s extremely quiet day and night. I will be coming back to this serene hotel!

Lovely, quiet, rustic, charming inn with only a dozen or so cottages. Great staff and housekeeping. Loved the fact that there were no TVs. Coffee in room, comfortable bed, nice private patio. Not high end luxury but perfect Ojai vibe. Would come again

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms offer both privacy and breathtaking views over the valley. The entire retreat is in the middle of nature and feels like a little heaven out of time, even though it’s only a short drive to downtown. There are many beautiful and calm spots meant to meditate, relax, read or watch the sunset. The staff was always friendly and helpful. If you’re looking for a place to slow down a bit, this is not only a very beautiful one but probably also the most peaceful place I’ve ever been to. I really hope I get to come back someday.

I didn’t know what to expect when I booked, my room (patio room) was one of the lower priced rooms in ojai, but wow what a beautiful location! Panoramic views, clean rooms, the TV was not missed on this property(we all know phones now anyways) no where on this property was anything short of beautiful, the breakfast wasn’t the most expansive, but more than adequate for a quick bite before exploring:) I’ll be back for sure. Perfect place to stay:)

Beautiful property with one of the best views in all of Ojai. I live in LA and go to Ojai often for a get away. This was my first time at this property and it didn't disappoint. It was clean, tranquil, and beautiful. The grounds are well maintained and the staff was very accommodating! I was upgraded to a suite with an amazing secluded view of the Topatopa Mountains that made me not want to leave! Every room does not have that view so if you want that, ask before you book. I will definitely be going back!

Very dated interior - kind of feels like staying at your grandma's house. Was told by another guest I couldn't walk through the house to get to my room, because her group had a conference taking place ... ridiculous ... I ignored her, but front desk clerk should have alerted me to this.

Great service at check in, and nice breakfast! Everything is well maintained, but you can tell everything is a bit aged. Nothing bad at all.. just a bit rustic if you will~ we stayed at the Cozy room (each room has a name) and it had a shared bathroom…which I wasn’t too thrilled about. It stated that before I booked, so I was aware. Just in reality not my preference. The property is pretty, and very quiet which I appreciated. We only stayed one night for a golf thing so we didn’t have too much time to appreciate the grounds~ if you are looking for quiet and rustic and super reasonable price point, highly recommend

The buildings and decor are dated. The view if the valley us amazing. There are many places to relax both in and outdoors. A short drive away from the main drag. But a great place to find serenity.

Absolutely loved it. Quiet and peaceful. We did not want to leave. Wish we stayed another night. Only flaw was the breakfast, wish it was more natural. They had continental breakfast and some items were from Costco. Had the shared bathroom room and was perfect. All guests are respectful adults, no kids! View is breathtaking.

Nice place. Nice setting. My one complaint is that a staff member started vacuuming while I was still eating breakfast. It was loud, inconsiderate, the opposite of what you’d expect at a retreat setting. She then walked thru the dining room with a leaf blower. It wasn’t on, but she could’ve walked outside around the building rather than taking it thru the bkfst room.

The Ojai Retreat is absolutely lovely. They go above and beyond in every capacity imaginable. From the quiet, peaceful, beautiful scenery to the epic breakfast buffet, they stole my heart. The photos don't do it justice. It's way better in person. Insanely fairly priced. It's truly a hidden gem. I hope I am able to stay there again.

It's such a beautiful place. It overlooks Ojai, rather than being down on the floor of the valley. The grounds are beautiful. And, from my breakfast table on the terrace, I watched a pair of mating hawks circle to their nearby nest.

I love the peace and serenity here. The rooms are not fancy but you get to experience the tranquility of nature and unplug. The patio has the most stunning view of the Topa Topas you could ask for. The breakfast was nice with hot eggs and vegan sausage coissants, bagels, yogurt, fruit, etc. The coffee was nice too but most of all the friends I was with!
