I have never before in my travels to over 70 countries booked a hotel with a pool that then proceeded to kick me out of it due to "a high number of guests who reserved sunbeds." The photos that the hotel puts up are incredibly misleading and I am sad that I did not read more of the negative reviews that confirms this and I just fell for the nice photos that you don't even have access to. This was just the start of the negative experience here. The front desk staff was incredibly discriminating, slow, and unprofessional. The hotel is falling apart and in a bad state. The walls are paper thin - you hear EVERYTHING making it impossible to sleep. The hotel has a very unprofessional staff - housekeeping banging bottles against room doors, shouting and laughing very loudly with each other in hallways. We stayed in a lovely boutique hotel nearby which cost much less but was a great experience. Don't fall for the pictures or amenities you cannot access at this place.

Par contre la distance pour se rendre à la plage est vraiment peu pratique avec un petit train avec des horaires très médiocres (pas de retour en semaine après 17h40) et une côte impossible à faire à pied. Seule solution: commander un uber à chaque fois...

We felt misled by what we read about this hotel. The pool opens at 11am not 10 am. The beach club is not free. Sunbeds are 20 euros. The shuttle to the beach and train station does about 4 runs a day and 6 on weekends. It doesn’t run early enough or late enough to make it useful for us. So we had to get taxis everywhere. The room was a very strange configuration and not user friendly at all. This hotel is not really a tourist hotel. It is connected to sports facilities which are subscribed to by locals which limit some activities. There are certain areas unavailable to guests.

Ich hatte wirklich eine wunderschöne Zeit in diesem Hotel. Bei meiner Ankunft wurde ich sehr höflich empfangen und wurde sogar auf ein anderes Zimmer umgebucht. So bin ich jeden Morgen mit Blick auf das Meer aufgewacht. Personal und Frühstück ist wirklich top. Es ist alles super sauber und ordentlich und das Gym ist auch super toll. Ein so großes und gut ausgestattetes Gym mit sehr modernen Geräten, habe ich selten in Hotels gesehen. Zu meinem Geburtstag hatte mir das Hotel Sekt und einen kleinen Kuchen auf das Zimmer gestellt. Das fand ich sehr aufmerksam. Da das Hotel auf einem Berg liegt ist ein kleiner Hotel-Shuttle eingerichtet, was wirklich eine tolle Sache ist. Leider fährt er nur einmal die Stunde in Richting Bahnhof/ Strand. Das passt dann leider nicht immer mit den Abfahrts- oder Ankunftszeiten der Züge am Bahnhof Carvajal. Wenn man auswärts Essen möchte gibt es nicht so viele Möglichkeiten in der Nähe. Leider muss man für die Liegen am Stand und die Sonnenbetten auf der Rooftop Bar etwas zahlen. Es gibt aber genügend andere Möglichkeiten sich an den diversen frei zugänglichen Pools die Sonne auf den Bauch scheinen zu lassen. Man kann hier wirklich ein super erholsame Zeit haben. Ich komme gerne wieder.

This resort is a great place in any season. It is the second time we stayed there. Higueron is the best area in La Costa del Sol , and this resort is super top in every aspect. The restaurants, the tennis and paddle courts, the pools… everything is excellent!

A wery nice hotel that could be even better. Room was so nice and a lot of space. I don't see the point why everything should cost extra when you pay that much for your stay! A sunbed at roof top pool is 100 Eur! etc. I've been to many many 5 star resorts where you don't need to pay extra for everything. In all a very good hotel

Ich habe vier wunderbare Tage in diesem Hotel verbracht. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich begrüßt und konnten das Zimmer sogar früher beziehen. Wonderful hotel: stylish and beautiful, clean, superfriendly staff and everything worked well although it was off-season (November), due to that also very peaceful. Excellent sport facilities e.g. fully equipped gym.

Be prepared for a hot room as the AC is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Room also had a bit of a smell and floors were dirty - in response a cleaner was sent to our room and she sprayed the curtains twice with air freshener and left. Service wasn’t great either. When I asked at reception for a bottle of water I was told “this is not a bar” which was fairly dismissive. Not totally unusual for hotel receptions to have complimentary water at reception (especially a sports heavy hotel) but was made to feel like a plonker for asking. Pool area(s) were nice but no very limited umbrellas for shade at the main pool. Possibly an attempt to drive people to the top floor pool which does have shade and less conveniently a 200 euro minimum spend pp. Overall the rooms and settings are nice and modern, quite art deco but a bit conference looking. Sports facilities look top class and the gym was massive and well kitted out. We also took a free shuttle to the beach club (shuttle was not designed for the Spanish speed bumps so be prepared for a bumpy ride). Again there is minimum 200 euro spend for Balinese beds at the beach club or a 20 euro cover charge per person for a sunbed on the beach. Food and drinks were good but prepare to pay 15 euro a cocktail. We dined at the Japo restaurant which was very good. Hotel breakfast was also good. Location wise it was 20 mins from airport and a short drive to the beach. We had a car so was easy to get to Malaga and Marbella also.

Nous ne pouvons que vous conseiller cet hôtel. Le personnel est adorable, un large choix au petit-déjeuner que ce soit en sucré, salé. En plus de la machine à café, il est même possible de commander un cappuccino, un macchiato au bar. Nous avions de délicates attentions tous les jours dans notre chambre. L'établissement est très propre, rien ne traîne!! Prenez le temps d'aller voir la piscine infinity c'est magnifique. Si vous aimez faire du sport, la salle est immense, elle est même mieux équipée que certaines salle de sport en France!! Merci à Mélina pour sa gentillesse et ses bonnes adresses, merci au personnel pour leur gentillesse.

As we checked in at 5:30pm after waiting at the front desk because they were not sure the room was clean (check in is at 3pm) we were shocked as we discovered ants all over the living room floor and crumbs on the carpet. So obviously the cleaning of the rooms was not finished. Plus the amenities are already beaten up and look old. No bellman after a certain hour so u have to carry your own luggage’s

Ich habe vier wunderbare Tage in diesem Hotel verbracht. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich begrüßt und konnten das Zimmer sogar früher beziehen. Die Unterkunft war außergewöhnlich sauber – so eine gepflegte Anlage habe ich bisher selten erlebt. Das Frühstück war zudem fantastisch: eine hervorragende Auswahl, dazu Obst und Gemüse in bester Qualität. Die Sportmöglichkeiten sind ebenfalls beeindruckend: perfekt gepflegte Anlagen, großartige Padelplätze und ein exzellenter Tennisunterricht, bei César. Der Service war durchgehend freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Ein großes Lob an das gesamte Team und das Management. Klare Empfehlung!

This hotel is located in a very nice area and the pools are very nice. The parking is very convenient and it’s free. Do not expect much from your room. We had the suite. Our upstairs shower leaked and the first night the whole room was flooded. The shower door design is flawed hence the water leak every time I took shower. The room water would be cold for 5-7min before it warmed up. Overall room quality was poor. The bed wasn’t comfortable.

Ok room. I didn’t get a room with a view and quite noisy from the street. Cars and small trucks running over speed bumps waking me up. I had the balcony door open at first. I stayed at second floor. The breakfast is a dream and the gym is great.

We felt misled by what we read about this hotel. The pool opens at 11am not 10 am. The beach club is not free. Sunbeds are 20 euros. The shuttle to the beach and train station does about 4 runs a day and 6 on weekends. It doesn’t run early enough or late enough to make it useful for us. So we had to get taxis everywhere. The room was a very strange configuration and not user friendly at all. This hotel is not really a tourist hotel. It is connected to sports facilities which are subscribed to by locals which limit some activities. There are certain areas unavailable to guests.

I have never before in my travels to over 70 countries booked a hotel with a pool that then proceeded to kick me out of it due to "a high number of guests who reserved sunbeds." The photos that the hotel puts up are incredibly misleading and I am sad that I did not read more of the negative reviews that confirms this and I just fell for the nice photos that you don't even have access to. This was just the start of the negative experience here. The front desk staff was incredibly discriminating, slow, and unprofessional. The hotel is falling apart and in a bad state. The walls are paper thin - you hear EVERYTHING making it impossible to sleep. The hotel has a very unprofessional staff - housekeeping banging bottles against room doors, shouting and laughing very loudly with each other in hallways. We stayed in a lovely boutique hotel nearby which cost much less but was a great experience. Don't fall for the pictures or amenities you cannot access at this place.

Excellent stay. Friendly staff, especially José on front desk who gave some fab recommendations. Only negative would be that the tea bags/milk in our room weren't replenished at any point during our stay. We requested it at front desk, and called accommodation services at different times, but no one ever came with more tea bags/milk.

I loved the property entirely. The room was amazing, staff.... not too sure about. you don't exactly expect rude, obnoxious staff from a 5* hotel. I travel alot and never had i felt to comment to my partner about the way we were treated. not all staff. some of the members of staff were amazing, however some were just plain rude. did not appreciate. My partner was asking questions to one of the receptionist. the way he got a response, oh my goodness. that honestly put me off, and my partner is the nicest person you will ever speak to. not ok.

Awfull want refund because food poisoning please Can you credit my account Also all the food ordered was late and not correct missing items Was made to pay deposit on arrival ! Although you advertise no other payments are needed to be paid Only amount for booking I had to use my own phone to calll reception . As it didn’t work in Room and no one could hear me, which meant they had to come up to my room to get out of my bed with literally literally like what I went to bed in which is not great I need a hotel for A week I wondered if you could help me because it was expensive and all the food was terrible and it was all late and it was all wrong and they kept forgetting the drinks and then they got my ice cream wrong. They just literally dumped a bowl of ice cream, when it was supposed to be ice cream with caramel sauce is it Hotel ? The staff are good but the protocol and the way that the hotel is run is not the staff fault but it’s not very customer friendly one of the guys and reception is extremely rude. He had like sort of skinhead and he was on reception. He was so rude also they knew I had to bring my assistance dog and I just felt like they didn’t really take my illness into account for my emotional pet my emotional well-being so I was extremely stressed and upset I specifically asked my breakfast to be sat why and my eggs were hard and they just don’t seem Get the right instructions from the kitchen as they’re only porters so it’s not their fault the chef bad awf

Les chambres étaient belle mais bcp de choses ne fonctionnait pas et des prisés étaient décollés super dangereux pour de jeunes enfants.

Breakfast was reasonable, but if you asked for a coffee you were referred to make it yourself inside. The desk staff are too limited in providing information. For example, give a map of the resort. Prices are too high for the quality and service. Swimming pool is overcrowded. People leave a towel! Too few beds for the stay. No good indication of the rooms on which floor they are located. I like the hotel the problem of it is located in the top of the mountain and to get to the bottom where the beach is located if you do not use their bus you have to pay for a taxi. The other issue is the last bus to go up to the mountain is at 7pm when the party is just starting. Also going to the pool, it closes at 9 pm when the sun is still out and the weather is just right to go into the pool. The top - level lounge is also nice put you have to pay to lay on beds at least $200 Euros it is applied to your beverage but if you do not all you lose the balance.

très beau complexe avec de beaux équipements sportifs, plusieurs piscines, terrains de paddle et tennis et salle de gym très très fournie. Par contre la distance pour se rendre à la plage est vraiment peu pratique avec un petit train avec des horaires très médiocres (pas de retour en semaine après 17h40) et une côte impossible à faire à pied. Seule solution: commander un uber à chaque fois...

What a fantastic stay. Couldn't fault anything , from the staff, to the room ,to the view ,to the breakfast, all excellent. A 20 minute walk to the beach. Really enjoyed.

They upgraded me to upstairs downstairs bedroom, but I requested they change this and they said it was not possible. When I asked them to downgrade me to my original they charged me 180 euro. Beach was bit far and needed to catch a cab but I should've have researched. Room staff and swimming pool staff were amazing
They upgraded me to upstairs downstairs bedroom, but I requested they change this and they said it was not possible. When I asked them to downgrade me to my original they charged me 180 euro. Beach was bit far and needed to catch a cab but I should've have researched. Room staff and swimming pool staff were amazing

Excellent Hotel but the 21euro breakfast is hopeless machine coffee tepid tea and cold (hot) buffet really poor and the infinity pool is sunning BUT it will cost you 150 Euro to sit down on the cabanas ! Food at the Med restaurant goes up after 7pm for almost the same menu ! Once you find your way around it’s great breakfast with real coffee at the Sports Bar is a fraction of the price

Be prepared for a hot room as the AC is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Room also had a bit of a smell and floors were dirty - in response a cleaner was sent to our room and she sprayed the curtains twice with air freshener and left. Service wasn’t great either. When I asked at reception for a bottle of water I was told “this is not a bar” which was fairly dismissive. Not totally unusual for hotel receptions to have complimentary water at reception (especially a sports heavy hotel) but was made to feel like a plonker for asking. Pool area(s) were nice but no very limited umbrellas for shade at the main pool. Possibly an attempt to drive people to the top floor pool which does have shade and less conveniently a 200 euro minimum spend pp. Overall the rooms and settings are nice and modern, quite art deco but a bit conference looking. Sports facilities look top class and the gym was massive and well kitted out. We also took a free shuttle to the beach club (shuttle was not designed for the Spanish speed bumps so be prepared for a bumpy ride). Again there is minimum 200 euro spend for Balinese beds at the beach club or a 20 euro cover charge per person for a sunbed on the beach. Food and drinks were good but prepare to pay 15 euro a cocktail. We dined at the Japo restaurant which was very good. Hotel breakfast was also good. Location wise it was 20 mins from airport and a short drive to the beach. We had a car so was easy to get to Malaga and Marbella also.

It's hard to describe what a beautiful and luxurious experiece this hotel offers. Make sure you give yourself a few days to make use out of the ammenties and activities. Brunch was worth the price. Next time I would upgrade my room, that was the only a little lackluster part. But the grounds and the pools are extremely serene and enjoyable. Highly recommend!!

What a fantastic stay. Couldn't fault anything , from the staff, to the room ,to the view ,to the breakfast, all excellent. A 20 minute walk to the beach. Really enjoyed.

No store on premises. Shuttle hours changed during my stay without notice. Long walk to the beach and restaurant. Must take taxi or Uber from the beach if you miss the shuttle. Cafe opens late. Charges for early checkin - most US flights arrive in the morning. No access to the spa even when you book a massage or other treatments. Food at the restaurant mediocre - best to eat at the restaurants by the beach.

Many of the members og staff have an attitude problem - even when asked about very simple matters. My room was noisy from trafic but also neighbour to some one who smoked hash EVERY simple day. I was by the reception and asked for a change of room, which was nog possible. This is one og many stays at this hotel, and probably the last for me.
