Didn't realise the room was upstairs miles away from lift. Asked for downstairs room but even though their were obvious empty rooms the only one offered was $100/night dearer. Allocated parking space was almost impossible to get into. Motel was miles away from the town centre, so walking was difficult.

We really enjoyed our stay. Large room for 3 people. The pol area was amazing and was lovely to relax around during the afternoon. Did not go to Gigi's but looked lovely. I would stay here again.

Hotel has been designed beautifully and really makes you feel like you are on holidays. The staff are all so friendly and attentive. The happy hour is great with $12 cocktails. The facilities are lovely with a heated pool, steam room and gym. Our room was perfectly comfortable and has everything you need. Although hotel is not in town it is an easy enjoyable 10/15min walk to restaurants/town.

Amazing, recently renovated hotel , was a 70s style motel and has been revamped, the rooms are clean, fresh and bed is completely comfortable, shower is bright and new. Has a beautiful pool area and new restaurant, highly recommended

Showers dribbled hot water in the morning - unable to shower - shower before everyone else wakes up - renovated to hotel appearance but shower is motel standard. Raised it with reception who advised not to shower at the same time as everyone else as their pump? Can’t handle it?

Motel has been nicely renovated but it’s still not what I would call luxury accommodation. Our family room was advertised online as a conjoining room however ours was a single room with a queen bed and two singles positioned very close together. Not exactly ideal for a family. The other issue was noise - our room was downstairs and with the car parks being right outside our door it was very noisy with people coming and going. The door to our room had 2 huge gaps any the top and bottom so it’s not surprise we could hear everything from outside. Again, not great for a young family trying to sleep at night. The hotel was nice, reception staff extremely friendly and amenities well thought out. The noise, small ‘family’ room and location being further away from town - I don’t think we would stay here again.

Downstairs rooms refurbished nicely, could do with a better ironing board than small ones , upstairs rooms have a full size ironing board! And are newer built. Stairs and lift which is a plus! Good bed and nicely appointed!

Everything looks very instagrammable but practicalities of room and and cleaning staff are a let down, especially for over $300 a night. Shower did not work, pressure kept dropping to a dribble and hot water continuously cuts out. Looking at previous reviews this has been brought up with staff already who ignored the problem. Door card stopped working and cleaner let me in, which is fine but about 15 mins later the same cleaner unlocked my door and let themselves in as they called out housekeeping. When they saw me inside they seemed shocked and let themselves out apologising. The polite and professional thing to do is knock and say housekeeping and give the guest at least a couple of seconds to respond. If the guest answers the door you then ask if they need anything. Especially since the cleaner had just let me into the room I don’t understand why they thought it was appropriate to barge in. Used the iron once and dirty gunk fell out onto my clothes. Also smoke kept coming in the room in the evening through door vents, presumably from fire near pool? Check in and check out staff friendly and efficient at least.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Clairfield. Staff were friendly, check in was quick and easy, rooms were beautifully designed and styled and the facilities on offer are awesome. The bed was also so nice and soft. Had a great stay. My only gripe was the breakfast we had at Gigis was a little over priced. Hopefully next time we can take advantage of the spa.

Short walk to centre of Town, we went to watch our team play at the willow Stadium. Had a great night at Kelly's Irish pub. Strolled back to accommodation.

We had a great stay at the Clairefield. Modern facilities and a comfy bed. The little shortbreads were delicious and perfect. Will definitely be coming back ! The Gigi restaurant was also beautiful and reasonably priced.
