WONDERFUL pools. Beautiful setting for relaxing by the pool. Small road to cross to get to beach. Great music every evening with live bands. Improvement could be made with new towels and sheets since often towels are rather grey instead of white. Great seafood restaurant next door to hotel, they serve lovely gluten free meals for coeliacs.

The hotel and gardens are gorgeous. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well furnished, and have a large balcony. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The two swimming pools are lovely but they are very very busy. Despite have over 100 sun loungers you had almost no chance of getting one in the morning after 9am as other guests got there very early and stayed there all day. Many loungers were “reserved” for hours with towels etc despite signs saying you were not allowed to do so. The breakfast is good but again a similar issue with the crowds in trying to get an outdoor table after 8am. The location is excellent. It is very easy to walk to markets, cafes, restaurants, and the beach is just across the road. We have stayed here several times in the past and it is a fabulous hotel but unfortunately it is too popular with Australian tourists who return to this hotel year after year. If you enjoy crowds then this is a great option, if you want something quieter look elsewhere or visit in the off season.

Everything! Great rooms that were spotless. The staff always have a smile to greet you and help with any problem. The pool was wonderful, our room overlooked the pool area so we had close access. A plus is The Sands restaurant at the back of the hotel, facing the beach area. We had some rain on a few days so we didn’t leave the hotel to have dinner or lunch too. Shower water is so hot never an issue like other hotels we’ve stayed at in Bali. Only negative is the people smoking around the pool area, wry strong smell. We moved to other day beds. Also a couple in the room next to us also smokers and the smell came over the adjoining wall to as we sat in our balcony area. Overall a very pleasing hotel and I would recommend to couples.

Kumala Pantai is in the best location Beach and Road entry We loved the grounds they are beautiful we thought out and lovely to walk through The restaurant has a great variety and food plus entertainment ever night Breakfast is one of the best we have had 2 pools to enjoy one with a swim up bar Staff are wonderful Thankyou Darma & Eric for looking after us Rooms are a good size The only thing that was a little bit of a let down was the pillows It would be better if there were 2 varieties I’m hoping the Manager will see this as good bedding can make a great hotel just that bit better Definitely would recommend

Have been coming to Kumala Pantai for years. Staff are very friendly and cannot fault this hotel. 2 large pools that are always being cleaned and the hotels garden are just beautiful. Rooms are cleaned everyday and are cool, clean and comfortable. Will always return to this resort.

I’m staying in Bali for a couple weeks and this resort was my first place, for several days. It was literally beautiful, gorgeous paths through a garden style environment, with a really nice pool, and nice restaurant next to the beach, with live entertainment every night. Statues and decorations of Bali and Indonesian culture. Excellent bed, and clean facility.

I had a 2 night booking in a Junior Suite but when I arrived I was given a Deluxe room instead. In the morning I spoke with reception, a very nice guy who checked everything and admitted that they were in error for the booking. I was given the option of a refund or for the second night to be upgraded to the President Suite, which I took up. The suite was spacious and very well decorated throughout Thank you to staff and management for the upgrade. Mistakes happen but the response was exceptional The grounds and pool area are typical Bali, relaxing and although the buildings are getting on in age, it adds to the Bali ambiance Food from the restaurant was good quality and price and the location is perfect for my needs Staff were friendly and helpful with the typically kindness that is the true Bali

Great stay.Food,staff,facilities and cleanliness.My only grumble was they were putting in a new lift to our block and the associate building noises (jackhammers etc) personally spoilt my stay. Again noises at night were an issue. Slamming doors, alcohol fuelled conversations late into the night.Would stay again but with earplugs!

Put in a room 5m away from construction and not made aware of this upon booking. Noisy and started earlier and finished later than advised, by a note on the bed after we checked in. Lady on reception was rude when attempting to discuss with her. Pool was good though probably won’t stay again based on experience. Poor service.

Stayed at Kumala Pantai for 8 days after recommendations from a number of friends and reading past reviews. The good: the pool was fabulous, our room location to pool also excellent, nice size rooms and balcony, housekeeping great, security staff really friendly as were the ground staff and pool house staff Location to the beach and shops restaurants excellent. The not so good: the reception staff when checking in we found a bit rude. This was our third resort during our stay in Bali and all others had been super friendly. Breakfast which previous reviews had said was fabulous we found very much the same every day and although tasty got pretty boring. One local dish and either rice or noodles plus usual western fare. We had been spoilt at previous locations with a variety of local dishes and lots of veggies each morning. Found some morning serving staff rather indifferent and getting a tea or coffee took awhile. Sometimes we had to ask a number of times. We had a couple of evening meals there and the was food delicious and staff appeared much friendlier. Stayed at Kumala Pantai for 8 days after recommendations from a number of friends and reading past reviews. The good: the pool was fabulous, our room location to pool also excellent, nice size rooms and balcony, housekeeping great, security staff really friendly as were the ground staff and pool house staff Location to the beach and shops restaurants excellent. The not so good: the reception staff when checking in we found a bit rude. This was our third resort during our stay in Bali and all others had been super friendly. Breakfast which previous reviews had said was fabulous we found very much the same every day and although tasty got pretty boring. One local dish and either rice or noodles plus usual western fare. We had been spoilt at previous locations with a variety of local dishes and lots of veggies each morning. Found some morning serving staff rather indifferent and getting a tea or coffee took awhile. Sometimes we had to ask a number of times. We had a couple of evening meals there and the was food delicious and staff appeared much friendlier. Put in a room 5m away from construction and not made aware of this upon booking. Noisy and started earlier and finished later than advised, by a note on the bed after we checked in. Lady on reception was rude when attempting to discuss with her. Pool was good though probably won’t stay again based on experience. Poor service.

Everything! Great rooms that were spotless. The staff always have a smile to greet you and help with any problem. The pool was wonderful, our room overlooked the pool area so we had close access. A plus is The Sands restaurant at the back of the hotel, facing the beach area. We had some rain on a few days so we didn’t leave the hotel to have dinner or lunch too. Shower water is so hot never an issue like other hotels we’ve stayed at in Bali. Only negative is the people smoking around the pool area, wry strong smell. We moved to other day beds. Also a couple in the room next to us also smokers and the smell came over the adjoining wall to as we sat in our balcony area. Overall a very pleasing hotel and I would recommend to couples.

The hotel and gardens are gorgeous. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, well furnished, and have a large balcony. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The two swimming pools are lovely but they are very very busy. Despite have over 100 sun loungers you had almost no chance of getting one in the morning after 9am as other guests got there very early and stayed there all day. Many loungers were “reserved” for hours with towels etc despite signs saying you were not allowed to do so. The breakfast is good but again a similar issue with the crowds in trying to get an outdoor table after 8am. The location is excellent. It is very easy to walk to markets, cafes, restaurants, and the beach is just across the road. We have stayed here several times in the past and it is a fabulous hotel but unfortunately it is too popular with Australian tourists who return to this hotel year after year. If you enjoy crowds then this is a great option, if you want something quieter look elsewhere or visit in the off season.

We have been here before and will stay again because the overall experience is very good. The gardens, location, pools, staff, food and rooms are A1. This time though the beach fireworks were a problem.The noise! We all like fireworks, but not at 11.00 PM, 1:30 AM and 3:30AM, every night.

My husband I stayed at Kumala Pantai for the first time. To be honest I can’t fault the place. If ever there was a problem with anything they fixed it very quickly. Restaurant “The Sand” has amazing pizzas and all the food is reasonably priced. Great location, close to beach and great restaurants and shopping. If you are looking for a party place, this is not it, however suited us.

We just loved this hotel, we had planned on moving around but once we arrived booked for 8 days. Wish I was there now. We loved the restaurant also..great food, great staff and location was perfect . We did many tours where they picked us up and took us around Bali but loved coming back to our lovely hotel.

This hotel was immaculately curated. The gardens were beautiful and provided enough shade on the two huge pools where you could relax with a drink and/or take in the day with a book. The morning breakfast buffet was fresh and the coffee from the bar was up to my snobby standard!! I really can’t say how much the experience at Kumala Pantai was so relaxing, value for money and I’ll be back soon for sure.
