Hotel Happy Caretta

Amazing garden right on the river looking at the ancient Lycian tombs. Hotel is run by a wonderful husband and wife team. We really felt welcome.

A beautiful place run by people who truly care. I loved it so much that I am almost hesitant to share it....

The location is outstanding, right on the river, with the best views of the tombs in all of Dalyan. The water taxi picks you up from the deck to take you to the beach for a great day trip. You can get coffee, wine etc from the bar and sit or lounge on the deck, day or night, and watch the boats go by. It’s super peaceful at night but it’s also an easy walk into the heart of Dalyan’s lively restaurant and shopping pedestrian malls. It’s perfect. Also, our hosts were so helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. One of the very best places we’ve stayed on our 5-week tour of Türkiye. Highly recommended!

The property managers are a sweet couple. They were very welcoming! Breakfast was nice, with tables set up right by the water and a view of the Tombs of the Kings! Facility is a little dated, but the service and view more than made up for it!

Location was exceptional - view off the back deck where breakfast was served had a boat dock and off in the distance a fantastic view of ruins up on the far hill that was also lit up at night. Easily walkable to plenty of restaurants & shops. If you rent a boat to tour the lake and river they will pick you up right at the hotel. The hotel owner was delightful and spoke perfect English so it was easily to get help.
