The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, both day and night shifts. The hotel provided a dog bed, bowl, and treats for my service dog. Just wow! Everyone I interacted with went above and beyond. Great shower and the bed was comfortable

Super clean, staff is fantastic, close enough to uber around but far enough that you don’t hear all the down town noise. Wish we had a higher floor but nothing to lose sleep about. Gym was immaculate too!

This property is very modern and eco friendly. The breakfast is amazing and the food is organic and fresh. I felt so safe and the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional in every aspect. I especially enjoyed the spa after a long day of traveling. The hotel is super super clean. I cannot wait to come back and stay here in Lisbon but also see their other property in Porto. I highly recommend this hotel. I travelled with my family.

Had a wonderful break at Wine & Books. Everything was exactly as I’d hoped it would be from looking at the website. Staff were lovely - kind and attentive but not too in your face. Room was really comfortable. I’m a very light sleeper so the blackout curtains and super-quiet room were brilliant. Oh, and big shout out for the spa. Had a great massage from a lady who couldn’t speak any English (and my Portuguese is non-existent) but she didn’t need to. Perfect service. Thank you.

Top notch! Professional and friendly staff; very clean and comfortable room; fresh breakfast; and maybe best of all, clearly eco friendly, not a piece of plastic to be seen - all plastic bags or wraps were replaced with paper ones! I will definitely come back next time I will be in the area.

This hotel has some of the best staff I have ever had the pleasure of knowing in a hotel. Leonardo and Joao were so helpful and made this stay memorable. They could not do enough to help us from days out, to meals, to preparing the spa for us.

My best friend and I stayed here for one week and cannot say enough amazing things about the staff and stay! :) The room is large, well appointed and the rain shower /bathroom features were top notch. The room includes amazing storage and the details of fresh cookies, large bottled water and espresso in the room just adds to the daily experience of this place being a boutique hotel. The cleanliness of the hotel was superb and very comfy beds ensured a restful sleep and we were ready to explore for a full day. The staff are the heart and soul of this place. We had the best service and Alberto was always there to assist with recs and suggestions. The friendliness of the staff and their genuine care is unmatched. We had the buffet breakfast our first and last day. The quality of the food and variety of options is the best we have ever had. I am not typically a hotel breakfast person but the fact you can order food as well as take what is offered, which includes fresh juices and a full cafe bar is unreal. I lost the paper with the names of the servers we had, but can attest to their incredible service and hospitality. The location is perfect and serine as it is in the heart of Belem with so many local restaurants where we could really get a sense of the city and community. This is one of the very best hotels that I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve travelled a lot. The service and cleanliness is impeccable. I was treated really well and was well taken care of for two weeks. The hotel is extremely wonderful! The staff is so friendly and helpful & the aesthetic of the entire building is excellent with attention to details. The room was very clean and the welcome brownies were delicious! The only complaint I have is water from the shower leaked a little bit outside the shower door, but thats it! I wish this franchise expanded beyond Portugal I would stay at Wine and Books each time I travel!

Our stay in Lisbon at Wine & Books was simply perfect. Every detail in our room was immaculate, well designed and met all our needs. My wife and I stayed for only one night but we really enjoyed this boutique hotel. Attention to detail was apparent in every aspect of the hotel. Just fyi though our room had the glass shower visible anywhere in the room.

Hotel bonito, elegante e quartos bem aconchegantes, café da manhã muito bom, mas no sistema a lá carte, pedimos um upgrade de quarto e pagamos 65,00 euros para suíte superior Deluxe com varanda achando o que o quarto seria melhor, mas a suíte 307que nos deram é a mais apertada que as demais por ficar no final do corredor onde tem escadas e não achamos que valeu a pena!

We stayed for our 25th anniversary from 27th of December to the 10th of January 2026 From our 1st day, I arrived way earlier than the check in time as my flight landed early that morning while my husband’s flight got delayed couple of hours as we were coming from two different countries, which made it hard for me to wait in the airport. The front desk staff that morning were very welcoming and kind, they offered me a free breakfast and they did my check in way in advance which was great. The room was amazing and they decorated for our anniversary and offered welcome drinks and chocolate coated strawberries Afterwards we felt like family to everyone in the hotel including the restaurant staff. They helped us with our city tour and gave excellent recommendations for our anniversary dinner, Mr Frenando recommended an excellent restaurant which madd our anniversary night celebration a quite memorable experience. Although the hotel is a small boutique style but it’s definitely exceptional in services they provided. On our last night before checking out, the kitchen manager Mr Vince offered us a cookie box for their best cookies and the kitchen staff packed us an early breakfast. Everyone made our stay pleasurable and forever memorable and we appreciate them so much. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back next time we are in Lisbon 10/10

Wonderful stay. The hotel is nice but the staff make it exceptional. Mariana at the front desk is so helpful and nice. The restaurant, while delicious, is also made truly special by the staff that know how to treat guests with warmth & hospitality and still encourage humor and fun. Special Thank you to Vincent, Miguel, Rafa and Silvia for making our stay so wonderful. Like family.

I had an excellent stay here! The hotel is modern, clean, and well-equipped with impressive amenities. The staff was friendly and professional, and I want to give a special shoutout to Fernando at the concierge desk—he was incredibly helpful and shared great tips about local attractions and restaurants. Found at the corner of an unassuming street just behind the Memoria Church, Wine and Books is a bit of a hidden gem in the Lisbon district of Belém. It is a surprisingly short walk, past the Tropical Gardens, and down to the riverside of the wide Tagus. It’s on a hill. So the walk back is a little longer and after a heavy lunch the bus is welcome. We did walk up numerous times so not too daunting. It’s a modern hotel and has embraced all the benefits of digitalisation. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed, although the shower with three sides of clear glass was a bit of a challenge to our English conservatism. I liked the décor which was a clever hybrid of hi-tech modern and, with the book lined shelves in the dining room/lounge, the indulgent comfort of a private gentleman’s club. Breakfast offered everything you might want, including a really creamy porridge and honey. The restaurant provided excellent food although, from our point of view the vegetarian options were limited. But for all the physical and environmental attractions of the hotel, its crowning glory was the staff who were excellent with every single one of them treating us as if we were the only guests at the hotel. I had, inadvertently, brought a chest infection with me from the UK and while reception were tracking down clinics and pharmacies for me the catering staff were plying me with ‘special tea’ made to Bruno’s family recipe. We would definitely return to a Wine & Books Hotel.

One of the best pieces of pastry youll ever have. Across the street are a row of resaurants and over the boulevard is a historic monastary. The staff at the hotel are amazing and provided support for us to get local recommendations and helped make a case to get the airline to refund us for delayed flights and missed nights at the hotel.

W&B’s a great hotel and restaurant. Staff members and management were so nice and welcoming! Smooth check in process, beautiful and modern rooms and an excellent restaurant/dining option. Amazing 5 star treatment. Great staff, attentive, welcoming, helpful. Even staff in the restaurant are amazing and more than proper and accommodating. We felt sad leaving as we were treated so nicely from cleaners to management. Breakfast was amazing and personalized. Dinner was great as well.

Special mention to Adalberto, Luis and Rafa for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We also got to enjoy a great value & delicious set lunch - starter, choice of red/white wine, water, mains, dessert & coffee - all for 20€!!

The hotel itself was a very nice boutique hotel BUT the rooms we had were minuscule and in some cases the toilet and shower was at one end and the vanity and sinks and another end. And no place to unpack our clothes. There was no bar. There was no pool… BUT there was a laundromat across the road. Food was excellent.
