We were upgraded to a premium room with a large outside balcony. There were several chairs and lights on the balcony. Overlooked the Tiergarten. The hotel is five levels, which is very nice. It was primarily couples and a few business people and perhaps one or two people with children people. The bar area is very nice and there’s a nice sitting area outside the bar which has great sunshine and has a view onto the zoo. All the staff works, extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The rooms were very well kept and very comfortable. Everything in the hotel was clean and shining. They were bikes for rental, both bikes and standard bikes. we took bikes every day, with helmets, and toured Berlin this way.

We loved the location being part of the zoo and large lovely park. So central but so quiet and green area. Hotel itself like a boutique hotel, in a historic Danish Embassy building. Still has the Spanish embassy on one side. Loved the outdoor terrasse, and friendly staff. We rented their bikes, pretty good shape being at a hotel, took us far around the city. Will come back to this hotel.

We spent our anniversary at Das Stue, and it was simply perfect. From the moment we arrived, we could feel how much care and attention the team puts into every detail. They surprised us with a beautiful gift that made our special day even more meaningful. Our room was stunning – elegantly designed, peaceful, and with an incredibly comfortable bed. We even had the sauna all to ourselves, which felt like a private little escape in the middle of Berlin. The drinks at the bar were excellent, the atmosphere both stylish and relaxed, and the staff was outstanding – genuinely warm, attentive, and incredibly friendly. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Sehr enttäuschend. Man kommt in den Eingangsbereich und das Erste, was man sieht ist ein komplett verschmutzter Teppich. Wenn man Teppich in so viel benutzen Wegen verlegt, dann sollte man ihn auch regelmäßig reinigen, oder eben ersetzen. Und so zieht es sich durchs gesamte Hotel. Die Einrichtung ist verwohnt, überall abgeschlagene, aufgequollene Ecken. Der Teppich im Zimmer strotzt vor Dreck. Die Dusche ist ekelig. Das Personal an der Bar eine Katastrophe. Nicht nur, dass wir ohne Aufforderung nicht mal eine Karte bekommen haben, ein Cocktail auf meiner Hose landete und die Servicekraft mit ausgestrecktem Arm, ohne Kommentar da stand, um die Cocktail Karten von uns zu fordern. Alles in allem eine Frechheit zu diesem Preis. Positiv ist einzig die Lage und die Aussicht.

It felt like a tranquil oasis in a hectic city, with the location next to the zoo and park. The hotel is the perfect combination of modern and historical. The decor is elegant and chic, with an animal theme and modern furnishings. The views are spectacular. Most importantly the staff was extremely welcoming, authentically warm and extremely accommodating. Dinner was fantastic in the French restaurant.

Our stay ended on a good note, but there were several issues. -Room service menu published online is outdated; half of the food was inedible. The chicken breast was old and the grossest I’ve had in my life. My husband said it was from an “aged hen” like Soviet times. -TV’s were very old and the only way to play music. It didn’t work in 2 of the 3 rooms. No PPV options or movies. - The bathtub in the first room was broken and the worn hardwood needed a rug. - The hotel didn’t have a diffuser for the hairdryer (the less expensive Hyatt had one upon request). It took 24 hours for them to tell they didn’t have one. At a 5 star hotel, I would expect someone to get it. I would have been fine being charged for it. Every morning to went to the Dyson store to dry my hair. - Room #2 the AC was broken. -Room #3 was a beautiful suite. The drapes were broken but it was fine. -the showers were great and the bidets were lovely. - House keeping didn’t refill the soaps without being asked. - The beds were manageable but not comfortable. - All the rooms were large. - The gym is a joke with a bench press, stationary bike, and ropes. -Unless you’re booking a suite, I would recommend staying at a different hotel.

You cannot find a bigger or nicer room than this. Just a spectacular room. The hotel is beautiful. The only complaint is with regards to the water temperature (too hot) both at the sinks and the shower.

The rooms are not properly cleaned at all. Found a used contact lens upon arrival. Later on found a hair clip in the bathroom. Everything else is good.

Lovely boutique style hotel with aspects that should not apply to a 5 star establishment. Had to ask housekeeping to replenish coffee capsules everyday, should really be done without asking. Waitress asked me to sign a breakfast tab each day, on checkout I was told that she had charged the incorrect amount on one of the days. Rather than acknowledge that this was their mistake and accept it they insisted that I pay the additional 84euros on a final bill of 3700 euros, not really a great experience.

The hotel is too expensive for the air conditioning not working. The hotel didnt give me a solution but a very noisy fan. It was impossible to sleep. Room is EXTREMLY small.

overall the property was great relatively good location clean comfortable however there were several things that I didn’t expect like a light that wouldn’t go off average customer service suggestion to use Uber Eats instead of whatever was available at the hotel which turns out wasn’t much

Breakfast is a standard buffet - nothing special. The property must have been beautiful years ago, but it is now in serious need of maintenance. The TV i. My room did not work and could not be fixed for 3 days. The heating can not keep up with cold weather and plug-in heaters had to be brought in, after two days of complaints. Luckily, the staff is simply superb, so that lessened the disappointment.

Sehr teuer, dafür nicht so toll. Eher auf schick gemacht, aber die Zimmereinrichtung ist sehr unpraktisch. Auf den ersten Blick alles sauber, wenn man genauer hinschaut, wurde unterm Bett oder neben dem Waschbecken nicht gut geputzt. Schade war auch, dass die Pilze beim Frühstück aus dem Glas kamen. Von einem 5 Sterne hotel bin ich besseres gewohnt. Alle Mitarbeitenden sind aber sehr sehr nett und höflich.

We were upgraded to a premium room with a large outside balcony. There were several chairs and lights on the balcony. Overlooked the Tiergarten. The hotel is five levels, which is very nice. It was primarily couples and a few business people and perhaps one or two people with children people. The bar area is very nice and there’s a nice sitting area outside the bar which has great sunshine and has a view onto the zoo. All the staff works, extremely professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The rooms were very well kept and very comfortable. Everything in the hotel was clean and shining. They were bikes for rental, both bikes and standard bikes. we took bikes every day, with helmets, and toured Berlin this way.

Beautiful building with interesting common parts. Horribly designed, impractical rooms. Shaving mirror attached to wall so you need to lean around sink to use it. Bedside control panel behind bedhead, so you have to get out of bed to use it. Phone charging unit and USB point not working. Aircon made strange intermittent noises. Staff very nice but so amateur. Worst club sandwich I have ever had. Expedia discount on food had not been applied to bill at check out. Had to ask for this. Hotel location remote, in a residential area. No local shops or restaurants. In short, a triumph of style over substance.

The property is beautiful! Located on a quiet street across from an entrance to the Tiergarten and next to the Zoo, it is tranquility defined. The building is gorgeous, the rooms are generous, the design is top-notch, and the staff is the BEST! We loved Victoria, Julian, the concierge, the cleaning manager— everyone was top of the top. We would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Berlin!

You cannot find a bigger or nicer room than this. Just a spectacular room. The hotel is beautiful. The only complaint is with regards to the water temperature (too hot) both at the sinks and the shower.

This is an excellent hotel. The rooms, staff and amenities are all First Rate. And the view from our room overlooking the Zoo was unbelievable. Who wakes up with Kangaroos running around just outside their window? Our only caution is it is a bit remote, far from public transit and walking through the pitch black Tiergarten at night is not an option.

Our stay ended on a good note, but there were several issues. -Room service menu published online is outdated; half of the food was inedible. The chicken breast was old and the grossest I’ve had in my life. My husband said it was from an “aged hen” like Soviet times. -TV’s were very old and the only way to play music. It didn’t work in 2 of the 3 rooms. No PPV options or movies. - The bathtub in the first room was broken and the worn hardwood needed a rug. - The hotel didn’t have a diffuser for the hairdryer (the less expensive Hyatt had one upon request). It took 24 hours for them to tell they didn’t have one. At a 5 star hotel, I would expect someone to get it. I would have been fine being charged for it. Every morning to went to the Dyson store to dry my hair. - Room #2 the AC was broken. -Room #3 was a beautiful suite. The drapes were broken but it was fine. -the showers were great and the bidets were lovely. - House keeping didn’t refill the soaps without being asked. - The beds were manageable but not comfortable. - All the rooms were large. - The gym is a joke with a bench press, stationary bike, and ropes. -Unless you’re booking a suite, I would recommend staying at a different hotel.

Sehr enttäuschend. Man kommt in den Eingangsbereich und das Erste, was man sieht ist ein komplett verschmutzter Teppich. Wenn man Teppich in so viel benutzen Wegen verlegt, dann sollte man ihn auch regelmäßig reinigen, oder eben ersetzen. Und so zieht es sich durchs gesamte Hotel. Die Einrichtung ist verwohnt, überall abgeschlagene, aufgequollene Ecken. Der Teppich im Zimmer strotzt vor Dreck. Die Dusche ist ekelig. Das Personal an der Bar eine Katastrophe. Nicht nur, dass wir ohne Aufforderung nicht mal eine Karte bekommen haben, ein Cocktail auf meiner Hose landete und die Servicekraft mit ausgestrecktem Arm, ohne Kommentar da stand, um die Cocktail Karten von uns zu fordern. Alles in allem eine Frechheit zu diesem Preis. Positiv ist einzig die Lage und die Aussicht.

Lovely boutique style hotel with aspects that should not apply to a 5 star establishment. Had to ask housekeeping to replenish coffee capsules everyday, should really be done without asking. Waitress asked me to sign a breakfast tab each day, on checkout I was told that she had charged the incorrect amount on one of the days. Rather than acknowledge that this was their mistake and accept it they insisted that I pay the additional 84euros on a final bill of 3700 euros, not really a great experience.

We loved the location being part of the zoo and large lovely park. So central but so quiet and green area. Hotel itself like a boutique hotel, in a historic Danish Embassy building. Still has the Spanish embassy on one side. Loved the outdoor terrasse, and friendly staff. We rented their bikes, pretty good shape being at a hotel, took us far around the city. Will come back to this hotel.

This hotel rocked my world! I only stayed one night, stopping over on a train trip from Paris to Prague, but I’m definitely coming back. Staff were super friendly & helpful, location is wonderful and it’s only a short walk to some great restaurants. I didn’t have an upscale room but all was pretty much perfect, including the morning view of an ostrich strutting her stuff in the zoo across the way. Auf wiedersehen, SO/ Berlin Das Stue!

Our stay ended on a good note, but there were several issues. -Room service menu published online is outdated; half of the food was inedible. The chicken breast was old and the grossest I’ve had in my life. My husband said it was from an “aged hen” like Soviet times. -TV’s were very old and the only way to play music. It didn’t work in 2 of the 3 rooms. No PPV options or movies. - The bathtub in the first room was broken and the worn hardwood needed a rug. - The hotel didn’t have a diffuser for the hairdryer (the less expensive Hyatt had one upon request). It took 24 hours for them to tell they didn’t have one. At a 5 star hotel, I would expect someone to get it. I would have been fine being charged for it. Every morning to went to the Dyson store to dry my hair. - Room #2 the AC was broken. -Room #3 was a beautiful suite. The drapes were broken but it was fine. -the showers were great and the bidets were lovely. - House keeping didn’t refill the soaps without being asked. - The beds were manageable but not comfortable. - All the rooms were large. - The gym is a joke with a bench press, stationary bike, and ropes. -Unless you’re booking a suite, I would recommend staying at a different hotel.

This is an excellent hotel. The rooms, staff and amenities are all First Rate. And the view from our room overlooking the Zoo was unbelievable. Who wakes up with Kangaroos running around just outside their window? Our only caution is it is a bit remote, far from public transit and walking through the pitch black Tiergarten at night is not an option.
